My great grandma is still alive at the age of 107, she had 8 children, 30 grandchildren and more than 100 great grandchildren. She still standing in greatness
i like talking to old people though i am 24 ,, it gives me a great feeling when i listen to their stories , its like travelling back in time ,, dunno why people throw them off at old age homes
I agree, I enjoyed talking to my grandfather about life as a British soldier during WW2 and life in British Colonial India. To him it was boring childhood stories, to me it was like talking to someone who fought in the Battle of Hastings.
Braselton94 I agree, that's why I did it too 23 years ago 12,9,1995 married my husband 2 years younger than I, they didn't think we'd last, but were still together happier than day 1 that we met.we now have 3 beautiful children and 2 grandchildren 1step grandaughter, enjoying life as life happens and rolling with it is the only way to survive
@@makhate It means you married somebody much younger. You "robbed" a baby out of the cradle. Meaning the person is not suitable for you or is not in your age range...the person is too young for you. Anyway, it was just a joke because her husband was only two years younger. People usually say that when somebody marries somebody much younger.
Maybe that's why shes living so long.. she was always happy In her life.. she didn't let stress or anger have an affect on her.. stress can damage your body.. I know she didn't let that get to her.
My grandma died at 104... She always told as the same thing...if you can not do anything to change *things*...go on...do not worry....may this Lady be blessed....
Kudos to Ellen for talking to this lady like the wise adult she is. I hate when the very elderly are interviewed and talked down to like they’re three years old!
Because they have a strong moral backbone and a sense of humor, both of which are absent in today's modern environment. You're looking at someone we wish we could be, but cannot; because of the rot in society.
Advice? Adopt the morals of her generation. Adopt the intelligence, strength, and grit. When your college sociology department is asking you to to protest for Antifa black power feminist LGBTQLMNOP, don't do it. Learn the value of love, respect, forbearance, traditional morality, and Western values. Then you will become this woman.
I love this lady. So so sweet. And so witty. I am going to pretend like I didn't read the comment that she passed, but she is shining bright in heaven.
Sharp as a tack! I'm writing this in 2019 and Edythe passed away in 2015 at the age of 107. I think one of the secrets to her longevity was that she remaine active (she did charitable work). RIP Edythe.
She was just too cute! My great aunt passed a couple months shy of 102. When she turned 100, she got birthday greetings from the teacher's retirement system. She said "I was afraid to open it, I thought it would say "Aren't you dead yet??" !!
@@bb3ca201 I'm sorry.....When did the point of the comment become more important than the words of God passed down in the 10 Commandments?! 🤷♀️ Wow! smh
What a remarkable beautiful lady. I can't even imagine being in my 90's nevwr mind 105. She is so sweet and open minded toi. Most elderly you always hear negative things like they are stuck in the past belief wise. God Bless her and her family. RIP Edythe
Beautiful Soul. Look at the family she has under her. Her and her Husband created so many lives and passed along the values and charisma they developed over their lives. That's a life well lived. So nice to see a happy, loving kind person be rewarded with a long and happy life... As well as to be able to see and experience all the other lives you created developing into a large family with multiple generations within it.
Omg I couldn't believe how well she could speak and so healthy. This woman is so blessed God is with this Girl 😘💞💞💝 can't see any hugs so sending hugs too to Edythe God Bless Her Heart!
She was so funny and full of energy I would thing she's only 70 or maybe younger ❤️ I read a comment that said she died RIP your happiness helped you live longer 💗
She’s adorable! What a blessing to have words of wisdom from Edythe. God bless her in the New World. 🙏🏼 l only wish l had seen this episode when it came out. ~Karen🌹
Andy should have worn pants, and shown a little more respect for someone that age/ born in that generation. My grandma is 98 years old...just as spry as anything, in excellent health, very sharp mentally, exercises every day, eats very healthily, does not take medication, has all own her teeth, reads without glasses, keeps a very positive attitude, is well-read, happy, clean, neat, travels around the world! She is such an inspiration to me. I look up to her so much! (Thanks for reading!)
That is Amazing 98,Just as this story. My Dad just turned 90 he is the same healthy condition. The main item you mentioned is that she does not take medications (statins) the doc gives ya will send you to the grave.God Bless your Grandmother.
Hollins23 that is all great but what that has to do with Andy not wearing pants? How is that disrespectful? She may had been born 105 yrs ago, but she live through out all the years adopting new trends just like everyone else. If it is not disrespectful for me or you, why would it be for her?
I have to agree with Antonela ... She adapted to multiple things.. including technology and Facebook.. I doubt she cares whether a random dude is wearing pants or not... Like she said.. The key to a healthy life is to go with the flow and not let anything bother you... It wouldn't make any sense for her to say that and then be offended because some random guy isn't wearing pants....
I have been watching Ellen clips and came across the one with Edytha, the 105 year old lady who still drives, I want to tell you that Chattanooga Tennessee has our own great lady, she's 106 turning 107 n March of 2018, and drives heself around as if she was 30. She's absolutely wonderful. I became friends with her at Wendy's in lookout valley, right at the foot of lookout mountain. Her name is Haley. Wish you could meet her, at 105 she got to go to Nashville and meet the governor, and was told she was the oldest lady living in Tennessee.
This woman is lovely! There’s a lady in the UK called Eileen Ash, who’s a cricket champion from the 1930’s/ 40’s who is now 108 and she still drives her Mini Cooper to this day. Worth looking at. Another inspiration!
I really love the way you surprise people Ellen however i have got no chance to watch you live but always following here in Rwanda via RU-vid. And hope my dream of seeing your show live one day.
Yess! She's so right about letting things get to u. I love positive. Energy👍 who ever still have an mom / grandma at that age or even older, notjing but an blessing from the angels ☝ above. Stay avtive. No worries. & you'r ❤ shall. Not be troubled, hallelujah!😄

Dear Sir or Madam, Good day. It is my pleasure and honor to send this letter to you. I would like to give you some pictures and hopefully you can provide me with some information. This manuscript dates back to the Ottoman period and is written in ancient Hebrew. I am looking for someone who translates the language and extracts a certificate from it. If possible, publish it in one of your opening articles and be part of your group. Thank you very much for the respect, appreciation and fruitful work of mankind. +Emilie christopherson Haha.. I don't get to watch the show very often so I don't really know. I've just never seen her with such a dramatic eye on her commercials. Love it!
My gramma had 10 kids 32 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, I miss her dearly, she never owned a car, and walked everywhere. God bless you gramma.
Tina Winters doing great 👍🏻 👍🏻 good to know you’re doing okay for in a time like this it’s important we look after each other for the negative news of trump, earthquakes and global warming they flood the internet and the media with on a daily bases is enough to make one sick, feels like the sky is falling Btw I’m Morgan live from Bakersfield California You? Where are you from
Tina Winters what a fine way to live your life, I wish my brain is wired like that, I’m an OCD patient so it’s my job to worry 🤷🏻♂️ by the way how old are you
