I never realized how important Chalkzone was/is until recently. For one thing, it encouraged creativity and problem solving with your brain and not with violence. Also it represented Latina culture, because Penny is a Latina girl in the series, she’s brilliantly smart and passionate about math and science. We need those things now more than ever. ❤️

Yes but, the rugrats pilot was made in the 80's, however we call it a 90's show, therefore, chalkzone is a 2000's show. Get your own creative chalk show 90's kids! This is a show for us 2000's kids!

Since I saw this one first time in 2006 or 2007 when nick got back into the german TV program to me it is a 2000´s show. Unlike Spongebob, The Fairly Odd Parents, Ginger´s World, The Wild Thornberrys and a lot of other shows it didn´t get a run on one of the two broadcast stations.

Bless this video ahh I would have REALLY liked to see that character development down the line (despite the emotional parts with Rudy slowly growing older which we all do) I believe it would have been the perfect/wholesome way to end a good series. This show is attached to my childhood and means a lot to me (in a way) but I also feel he would never /completely/ leave Snap. There would at least be some form of communication between the duo, I'd hope anyway! lol

I loved Rudy to bits because we shared the same hair color ;) At least, I always saw it as more of a strawberry blonde. Most creators either took the red route, the blonde route, or the freakish orange route back in the day, so it was nice having some sort of representation. Between that and the fact that Penny was literally my role model for everything else, this was absolutely my favorite show as a kid, and one that I will remember fondly.

Im overwhelmed with such fondness and nostalgia that brinbg me back to my childhood when i see chalkzone, it was such an underrated show but it brings me back to some of the happiest times in my childhood, this show brought such happy times to my childhood when things weren't always the best, this show helped me out in ways people couldnt even imagine. This cartton was so special to me thank you guys for making this video!

As a '90s kid on the cusp of tweendom at the time Chalk Zone premiered on Oh Yeah Cartoons, I am fully willing to vouch for the show's status as a genuine '90s creation, bolstered further by its unofficial status as a sort of update of the classic '70s British toon "Simon in the Land of Chalk Drawings," which would in turn get its own reboot in 2006. "Wheel in the sky keeps in turning..." 6:38. And you mentioned the "Simon" connection! You guys are amazing.

They should do the reboot with rudy and penny in college. It would be an interesting dynamic plus they can dive into more mature and controversial topics.
