+CartoonHangover Excuse me sir, but think fact 61 is incorrect. The film used BOTH lines about his head and his shoes. Nothing was changed, just altered. The shoe line was just used before the head line in the film. Please correct me if I am wrong. I'm just pointing out what I observed. Also, where is fact 32? There is only silence and a picture.

#61: I am 99% sure the head screwed on part was still in the animated special. I distinctly remember the Grinch turning his head around. The tight shoe line was still in there, tho

How the Grinch Stole Christmas was the first book I remember getting by Dr.Seuss when I was a toddler. Mom and Dad read it to me a lot before I got the hang of reading when I was 41/2. I also remember The Cat In The Hat and many other Beginner Books. I was on a big Dr. Seuss kick when I was-er,under seven. I'm 65 now and have a lot of regard for all Seuss' books.

I love the live action adaptation of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I'm surprised at how it only has 53% on rotten tomatoes but then again the spy kids movie has 100% on rotten tomatoes and that movie sucked.

+Jamie Ojendi I've always enjoyed it as well, I don't think Jim Carrey gets half the credit he's due for some of the characters he's brought to life through his performances and how hilarious they often tend to be. He also made a perfect Scrooge in Disney's cgi version of A Christmas Carol.

#29: *If they adpated the film as it was written, it would only be 12 minutes long.* THANK YOUUUUUU!!! Ya'know I love the Jim Carrey version, its even my favorite Holiday movie, but I'm sick and tired of people saying, "it strays from the original plot." 1.) Noooo, it merely adds more detail and plot development to further explain the original plot. 2.) Even the original cartoon is only 26 minutes, so obviously they had to do something to stretch it out.

#74: Okay, about Dr. Seuss' quote, I would say that I were invited to a dinner party with his characters, especially the Grinch, COUNT ME IN! #95: As a kid, I always loved the animated film SO MUCH that I would watch it every Christmas. I used to like the Ron Howard version, but now as an adult, I went back to the original animated version. The animated film will always have a special place in my heart. I'm not surprised that Ron Howard's film (53%) was beaten by the animated film (100%) according to Rotten Tomatoes because remakes are usually mediocre.

My Little Pony did a kind-of parody of the Grinch, in one of the season 5 episodes (I think ep 5), Rainbow Dash decides to stop winter, and she does the Grinch smile. ~Jasmine

Wait - in the cartoon I'm SURE they said both lines... you know the one about his head not bring screwed on. And the one about the shoes... and I'm sure the shoes were mentioned in the book too... Wait, lemme check that second one... Yep. It's definitely there.
