I've often romanticized rainy days but since 2023, the weather's evolved into something nastier, fiercer. We've experienced very fierce winds and extremely heavy storms almost every evening since 2023. It's quite a rare occasion these days to have a dry night. Rain comes hot and heavy and then disappears abruptly. Some days it feathers off into a light drizzle but it will drizzle till morning.
In 3 different days thru 2023 and 2024, we've experienced devastation, with the latest incident claiming a life of a motorist. Just imagine, you get into your car to drive to a destination and an uprooted tree due to forceful winds crashed down on your car, killing you instantly. I feel so sad for his family to receive such horrific news.
Every time husband goes to work, I worry about his safety. Every time such strong storms happen, I think of the feral animals on the street.
I've often wondered what will the eventual cost of industrialization be for the weather.
