Zootopia really blew my mind. I loved every second of it. The characters, the environment, and the really involving story makes it one of the best animated features ever.
Finally, a decent, no, a GREAT movie that has a good plot with no overused cliche scenes and one with a female protagonist with a good moral and lesson with lovable characters. Good job disney :)
+RandomJENN Well Bogo did say, "Life isn't some cartoon musical where you sing a little song and all of your insipid dreams magically come true! So let... it... go..." He just completely crushed all of Disney Princesses stereotypes and quoted Elsa all in one. He is simply one hell of a chief. :P
Favorite fun fact about Zootopia: In Frozen, Alan Tudyk played the Duke of Weselton, a man who was often called "Duke of Weasel Town". In Zootopia, Tudyk plays a weasel, whose name is "Duke Weaselton".
They should make Zootopia into an open world game that you can explore and solve several crimes as Judy and Nick. It'd be brilliant to be able to have all the intricate side stories, back grounds and environments not in the film that can be explored in a game like that that doesn't force you to go through a linear story and map. Interviewing people, exploring houses for clues and just seeing all the details about backstories would be wonderful. And they could have it set just after the film so it doesn't interfere with the canon of sequels.
+Jamaree Medford Look for "Imagining Zootopia" on RU-vid, it's a documentary of the creation and original concept of Zootopia. The amount of time the crew spent on perfecting the scenes and plots is insane.
One important fact that i was waiting for and it never came up! In some other countries, the second newscaster is a different animal. The USA has a moose, Austrailia has a koala, Brazil has a jaguar, China has a panda, and Japan has a tanuki.
I could already think of the plot of the Tim Burton version So Judy finds herself becoming a cop in a messed up dystopian world, and her and Nick have to find the savage animals who have destroyed the city and scarred all the animals for life.
I would think about a alternate normal Version for the Tim Burton version: Judy finds herself working with nick the con artist to clear several murder cases with mammals that went savage. In a world with shock collars and many prejudices against predators nick tries to convince judy that predators arent that Bad at all.
The movie even predicted it. When Weaselton says, "I even have ones that haven't come out yet." Look at the movies. There's a knockoff of Moana and of FROZEN 2! Why are you making a second Frozen, Disney? Haven't you already milked it enough.
I think the dark version of Zootopia is awesome too! It's sad that they throw the idea away and it's unlikely that they make a parallel world movie out of it, because the creators found it too depressing...
Yeah, I saw that in the special features and LOVED the concept of the collars for predators, but it makes sense that they chose another direction. It would've been awesome to have the Fox as the main character though, but I adore Judy Hopps
***** Same. Every time it ends, I just want to start it over from the beginning. If it were on VHS, I'd have killed the tape by now. At least I haven't seen this as much as my sister's seen Deadpool. I think she watched that like seven times in one day.
Melvin Shaw There seriously is not a single Disney movie that I've ever wanted a sequel from as bad as this movie. There's so much to be explored (lore wise) and the characters are so... understandable? Realistic? They just feel like true representations of real-world tropes that it's strangely satisfying to watch. There truly is no escape.
***** The problem with sequels is that they almost never touch upon all the unexplored lore of the first film. If a sequel was made, I would probably watch the death out of it, but only because it's _Zootopia._
Melvin Shaw For me to like it, it doesn't have to touch down on every single unknown about the world. I was just saying that there's plenty for them to work off of in relation to a sequel. It's also made them plenty of money, so I don't see the reason not to do it.
FACT #108: Kristen Bell (voice of Princess Anna in Disney's 'Frozen') plays "Priscilla the Sloth." Which, not so coincidentally, is her favorite animal. :D
Zootopia is my favorite Disney movie. I can relate to the characters so much. Now after watching this I can see how much work went into making the movie. To everyone who put hard work and effort into this movie, even though you'll probably never read this, thank you. :3
When I saw the movies opening, it was so cringe-worthy that I wanted to leave the cinema hall. Then, I saw the rest of the movie. Best movie I've ever seen. I mean, literally. This movie had nothing going for it and just boosted its way to the top.
Emery Larkin I know that. Don't think you're so smart. When I didn't know that and I first saw the movie, I thought she was the Zootopia verision of Adele
+Hagen Dolwett I wouldn't be surprised if it is. This is the Disney film with the largest number of Easter Eggs, so a play on Steven Universe isn't out of the picture.
+Steppenkater They meant in real life. Not many people arent fond of foxes thats why they are stereotyped as sly tricksters much like wolves are seen as savage monsters. In the furry fandom 8 out of ten fursonas are a type of canine.
The level of detail in the animals and their movement, environment etc really stands out now that I know how much time the animators and production team put into their work
If they made Zootopia into a open world game, that would be the coolest thing ever in the history of the universe's existence. The game devs should get the original writer to write a sub-plot exclusively for the game. Also, like DaProGamer12 said, you should be able to play through the movie's plot, like the Lego video game adaptions of movies. If they were going to do that, they would have to put in a few twists, because if you've seen the movie, you would know exactly how the game goes and it wouldn't be all that interesting...
Despite the fact of them being total different species, they'd make a great couple. Hey, you gotta try everything. These 2 should be together in the sequel.
Man...so much thought, time and effort was put into this movie. And it totally paid off in the end. Kudos to these guys. It deserves all the praise its getting. Absolutely brilliant.
Definetively, I would LOVE to see more of this world! It's just so lovely and brilliantly crafted that you can't help but want to know more. I really hope Disney retakes on it someday.
+Varied Gamer It's so frustrating that Disney animation so seldom features good-natured reptiles; and the ones that they do feature are almost never female. As a reptile lover I find this aggravating. At least Dreamworks had a female good-natured snake. MY KINGDOM FOR A KINDLY FEMALE SNAPPING TURTLE OR CROCODILE!!! That would be so un-trope-ish.
