Kevin Gebert The SWB has always been my favourite Ferrari too. A classical GT shape with a thoroughbred chassis and engine. The kind of car to tour around the Mediterranean coast in with, stopping off at little family owned restaurants in the sun, a change of clothes in the back and a foreign language speaking girl in the passenger seat! When I first became a Ferrari fan many years ago, it was the Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder that was my favorite and nothing budged it for years. I had seen SWB's before but for some reason they never resonated with me...until a few years ago. Now, it would be my first pick with maybe a Lusso next. The SWB has it all. Plus, I realized I am not a convertible/roadster kinda guy. Never have been and never will be!

The preview alone is worth visiting such an auction ;) So many beautiful and special cars (and often also other nice objects). I'd love to go to Lake Como next weekend... Unfortunately, that's not gonna happen. Villa d'Este is on my to-do list anyways, but I guess it's gonna be something for next year or so. It's only a 2.5 hour drive.

+Rogue Qall right! And the car gets destroyed not being used I guess collectors forget these old cars are all mechanical, another thing I hate about collectors is they raise prices of these cars to insane amounts! Like the e30 m3 it's just going up up up to sit in a garage :(

Literally this week I have decided that the 250 SWB has replaced the 250 GT Lusso as my favorite car of all time. It’s really a close one though. And the 300Sl and DB5. Best era for cars ever.
