@@enzomartinez8083 Near the middle of season 10 and the entirety of season 11 they have constant arguments over parenting, where they want to live, their careers, Derek cheated on Meredith with a student of his, long story short they are having a very rough time. Sure they love each other but love isn’t enough in a marriage. Say Derek did survive, he went to DC and said that he’s going to quit and go back to his old job. The president offers a better position that could convince him to stay, he goes back to Seattle, tells Meredith about the offer and they argue over their careers again. Meredith finds out she’s pregnant, tells Derek about the pregnancy and he takes the offer in DC and continues working there. Then by that point Mer is basically a single mom of 3 children. Derek is off in DC doing his project, Amelia is with Owen but still helps Meredith with the kids and Meredith is working on her projects. Derek comes home every once in a while and it’s like a normal marriage. I’m assuming at one point he tells her about the kiss in the lab and she gets pissed off and threatens divorce or files papers, they both sign the papers and Derek moves to DC to work on the project and Meredith stays in Seattle with the kids and Amelia helping. They probably agreed to co-parent so every now and then they would see each other to pass the kids over and they live out their lives. Probably get remarried at one point and continue co-parenting. Their marriage isn’t all that perfect, sure they agreed not to run but Derek broke that promise when he went to DC, in a perfect world Meredith would’ve agreed to move to DC , she would’ve had a job at James Madison, and god knows how else this story would go.
