I like quiet Luxury that is classic. The reason I buy luxury is that it is well made and lasts a long time with proper care. Thank you for this presentation. The only bag I would not carry is the Hermes because I think it looks like something my Great Aunt and Nana would use for Church. No old lady bags for me, I am only 73!
Yes exactly, I like that the emphasis is more on the quality of the piece and less on the branding. hehe oh I think maybe I see so much of Hermes on Instagram now styled well it's growing on me.
I love the quiet luxury trend. I love to travel, and when going someplace I've never been before, I always want to take a "quiet" bag with me until I know the landscape. There are definitely some places where using a luxury handbag would make me feel like a target. My hometown is also not super fancy and wearing designer would feel very out of place. So I like to have an option that isn't as in-your-face luxury.
I still love my LV reverse monogram*preluxs* clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.
So very glad you mentioned Mulberry. I too keep going back to Mulberry. We need to remember though that the fashion will change yet again, and next year 'loud' will be back again so don't get rid of your gorgeous collection that you have worked so hard for. I also love the Celine triomphe in a neutral with gold clasp. It is a classic that will hold up well regardless of the trend cycle.
I love their classic bags, most of the quiet luxury styles are for mature older women and kinda what you would pair for a formal event or work. Those with logos are for casual wear and you can pair it with anything. Naturally for younger women.
Post pandemic, my entire mindset regarding logos has changed. So much so that I sold all but two of my LVs. My lifestyle doesn't warrant such flashiness anymore. My new obsession? CELINE. Love the 16 you showed, especially the cabas 16.
Love how you present yourself, your hair style is beautiful reminds me of the 60's very timeless elegant you should make a tutorial about how to style it this way😊.
Love the discreet, not flashy kinda bags…but I also love loud in your face bags as well! Lol! For me it would have to be where I’m going and with you. Love watching your videos!
Nice video. Love the Celine 16 ..have three..very easy to use..also the puzzle and the Kelly. I also have LV and Gucci canvas..very convenient and I don’t care that it’s not trendy just now. I think quiet luxury is just another trend..people have to cycle through trends to justify purchasing more stuff.
Glad you included Mulberry. ♥️ I keep going back to this brand for purchases. Last purchase was the full sized Iris at the end of March of this year. Only has a tiny stamp on the hardware and heat stamp on the fob and unless you know the brand’s designs, no one really pays attention to what you’re carrying on the street. The best. 😊
Can you please do a review on Dior bags? Just got my peekaboo today and saw the Dior Caro medium today at the store and was drawn to it… would love to hear your review 😊
I'm definitely a fan of the quiet luxury - I'm not a lover of monogram stuff at all. My one and only LV (so far) is a gorgeous black Lockme II which suits the trend. I have a Demellier Vancouver too in the pebbled leather but I'm pretty disappointed as it feels quite plasticky. Polène leather feels much better - I have a Tonca - but sadly most of their sizes and shapes aren't me!
On the last bag, I wish the LV flap had a magnetic clasp. It looks a bit weird just sticking out like that. Can't believe they didn't add that finishing touch for such a classy bag.
Yes I agree it would have been good to have a magnet so that the flap stays down. I think over time as the leather softens it gets better but I don’t use mine as often so the structure of them is still like new
I'm constantly travelling... moving also like every 2 to 5yrs from London to Paris to HongKong to New York to Dubai to... That's why I always stick to quiet luxury like The Row, Kaithe, Joseph, basic Hermes (only clothes) and for bags to Bottega Veneta and Loewe only since like the 90s... in fact my first luxury bag I bought was Loewe at Harrods 30yrs back Never understood why everyone went ever for LV or Chanel (in the Far East even connected with the red light business) as they are so - well - bold...
As of last year I have become a lover of Mulberry I purchased 2x Mini Alexa one in black and the other in maple silky calf leather, and two other bags of the brand. I also purchased a purse to match x2 of the bags. I noticed when purchasing luxury handbags you don't buy a matching purse.😊 Is that something you would consider in the future? Love your vlogs as you inform us of the new season designs, brands and trends.I love this new quiet luxury trend.😊
I love the quiet luxury trend. I love it so much so that I'm trying to sell most of my monogram lv bags. I have The Capucines bb in black. It's my favorite bag now! What do you think of the Alma bb in epi? Would you consider that quiet luxury? I'm thinking of getting it in the indigo or black.
I'm venturing into buying a new luxury bag. It's been about 10 years since I bought my last one, and I was shocked at the price jump! However, I was in NYC a few weeks ago and went through Saks and the Peekaboo struck me as the one I want. I wasn't able to get back there because the day got lost and we left the city to go back home to Wisconsin, but I can't get that Fendi off of my mind. I might just have to jump in!
If you go to the men’s section of Loewe they make a large Puzzle bag, which is currently high on my wishlist. Not a huge jump in price from the Puzzle, medium size.
Definitely a fan of the trend. Loved your list. I've started traveling with my Polene Dix and Longchamps for the safety reasons you mentioned and I'm quite happy with them. I've also started collecting some vintage LV Epi which is about as quiet and as durable as it comes,
SM is cyclical, in 2020-22 everything was luxury this luxury that. A million luxury channels started. Now everyone is talking about “ quiet luxury “ I just think it’s funny. I’ve never cared what’s trendy I like what I like. I absolutely love the LV monogram side trunk I just got but also love my newest Hermes Picotin in Chai. The double CC turn lock just has my heart over the 226 version. I adore the Fendi Peekaboo but also the Fendi Zucca baguette.🤷🏼♀️ I really don’t think about the logo per se when I’m choosing a bag, just what catches my eye. I’ve just purchased a Loewe tri-colour puzzle bag and it’s stunning!
I've never been one to follow trends. I like what I like and I am not really concerned about what others think. With that said, everyone who was pushing logo heavy everything, now talking about hiding all of their logos seems strange to me.
Hi Steph, I just wanted to let you know that ‘Andiamo’, the name of the Bottega Veneta bag, means ‘let’s go’ in Italian. I’ve got a Italian brother in law so that’s why I know this and I think it’s nice to know. Kind regards from The Netherlands, Dawn de Koning
@@Handbagholichave you looked at Lalage Beaumont? They make a couple of bags that are definitely influenced by the Hermes Kelly for under £1,000. Very lovey. British designer. 😊
I wish I could find a channel like this for clothes and shoes. I'm sick of garbage quality clothes.... can anyone recommend a channel/creator like this here on yt, pleeeease!?
I purchased the Celine Cabas 16 👜 tote featured in this video. It’s so unique with the cut out. I absolutely love it although the price in Canadian dollars was expensive. I’m kind of obsessed with Celine at the moment. The calf skin leather is so buttery. I’ve definitely got my eye on the Triomphe. I just hope it doesn’t saturate the luxury handbag market. I’ve seen it featured in so many videos lately 😬
Why are you going the process in dollars only? The Hermes Kelly is not quiet luxury. If might not have a logo but it is one of the most recognisable designer bag
I don't like to show logos or brand, and there's one line of the Coach brand whose superior leather and hardware is impossible to improve upon. They have the Rae, the Rogue, and another that's not yet on the website with a leather "chain" (excuse the oxymoron) that is so quiet, yet the quality shows. This speakeasy line of Coach costs more than twice as much as their regular line, but shhh! Nobody knows. The hardware is of the highest caliber.
Still don't understand they changed the spelling of Céline, it looked prettier before, just like Yves Saint Laurent. I'm so happy about this "trend" I just can't stand logos.
The inflation rate is getting higher, the global warming was becoming so severe, millions of people were dying due to wars and hunger. And yet, you were still smiling and talking about "buying a 4 thousand dollars handbag"?. 🙄
