Farrow & Ball paints are literally made in my town! Such beautiful colours and lovely to work with! I have painted many contemporary paintings using it
@@star_wars_miniatures I live there too. I’m going to the showroom today. Struggling with colours and wondering if it’s worth getting a trade paint colour matched that might be more durable for high traffic hallway. Can’t decide. I also want to do a whole house colour base colour for walls and corking and wood work. What neutral white would you recommend ? Something that will go with everything that is modern and fresh but not stark something soft
@@helenalovelock1030 it’s a lovely little showroom! I don’t normally stay too long, just get what I need then go! The ladies in the showroom are always super helpful and very friendly! I’m sure they’ll be able to help you! I actually use their paint to create Art and actual paintings, rather than for decorating purposes
Love Eddy & Tailor Tack. I think Hopper Head / Railings / Downpipe / Off-Black are part of a continuum of colors that F&B does very often, using close combinations of shades together to highlight details. John Fowler did this all the time after the war, using several shades of a single color for walls, skirting boards, cornices, plaster details within, etc. F&B's books (which are great) go into a lot of detail on this concept, and group their whites in "sympathetic" collections to make the process simpler. I could totally see someone using the shades of black in a similar manner.
I wish you could list the colors in your comment. I cannot remember the names, so I will just refer to my own color descriptions. This is a nice collection of colors. That ight pink is so delicate. I might like it better than BM First Light. The darker Templeton Pink is the only color I don't like in this collection. Would try the blues and greens.
Doing black cabinets I. Kitchen and possibly Swiss coffee on walls. But want a deep color for bedroom and den that wud go with the black. Thinking maybe a deep sage green ?
Oatmeal with peanut butter? I will give it a try. Farrow and Ball's colors are attractive across the board but not readily available in my neighborhood.
"Oatmeal"--ha. F&B is known for some of that eccentric Brit humor with when it comes to the names and descriptions of their paints...like Whirlybird. Who at BM or SW would think of that? LOVE their colors and their paints are fantastic but they are pricey. And, oddly, none of these new ones really hit the sweet spot for me. They're fine, just not fabulous (like Hague Blue, among others.)
