He’s back with videos!!! I’m so happy. Are you still releasing the videos in order of how you flew them. I like seeing a whole trip and how all the flights line up
Welcome back. I am flying on a Cathay Pacific A350-1000 from JFK to HKG next month. 16 hours on the airbus and then from HongKong to Manila on an A321neo
I took a 747-400 of Lufthansa in 2017. Even though that variant is older it somehow had much more updated screens than what you got on this plane. But it’s nice to hear you tried a 747 before they disappear!
Great video. I made numerous trips across the Atlantic into Frankfurt while I was in the Army. Several on the older 747 200, DC-10, L1011 and 767. I hope that you enjoyed your visit in Europe too.
I've already crossed off Lufthansa from the bucket list (via their old A340 in 2019) but...if I can catch a 747 to/from O'Hare then I'll put it back on. I don't know if I'll do another Europe trip this year, been thinking about doing more bike touring/trails like the GAP or the C&O. - Red
Man im just glad your back making flight videos again. Saw your video the other week explaining where you had gone and I totally get this not being a priority with so much else going on. Still happy you're back!!!
Great video, I enjoyed it! The cinematics and everything was very immersive. I'm glad you shared your experience of Luftyjet's (nickname I call for Lufthansa) Economy Class experience to us even if it's over 2 years ago. As a person who has last flown on the airline over a decade ago, it's really nice to see that they have kept it consistent especially during the pandemic. Now that we're in post-pandemic, if I was to fly on Luftyjet again I wouldn't be expecting the exact same experience you had with them.
I’ve done the economy lie flat bed on many domestic red eyes. I highly recommend your head towards the isle with a pillow against the arm rest as a barrier. Your feet against the wall. You can get a tad more room and don’t have to panic your legs stick into the isle and get destroyed by a cart. I’ve tried both
Flying out of the Bay Area on a clear day is stunning! I did not know that Lufthansa flew the 747 during the pandemic. Most airlines seemed to store their 747s and A380s due to low passenger counts.
I’ve always been thinking about how I want to fly on a Lufthansa 747 to Frankfurt. I really want to do it later this decade and fly from O’hare, it’d be less time of course which is all I need. I am visiting Chicago and went on a short United Express flight from there to South Bend, IN on a CRJ 200. I was supposed to do it back in December until it could no longer happen so I’m glad I finally made it up. I did that on Tuesday this week and it went very well. A week from today I’m flying back home to Chattanooga also on United Express but it should be on an E175. They started flying those aircraft types between those airports last month.
