Trying out this mixed style of fact video were we focus on a planets maps across all BF 1 & 2 games, including the reboot as well. Did y'all enjoy it? & what planet should I do next?
Loved playing Tatooine Dune Sea. I always challenge myself to kill off all Tuscans first before I go after the opposing faction. It’s just a fun challenge that can only be done on that map.
Battlefront 1 and 2 were my childhood. I'm glad I was born at the right time to have experienced the OG Star Wars games before Disney took over. The Battlefront games in particular hold a special place in my heart ❤️
Tatooine really is the best planet in the Battlefront games. References, Easter Eggs, mechanics, glitches, it's all so fun and entertaining. Also, heroes can be eaten by the Sarlacc, noted.
Gamorrean Guards in the hunt mode would have been fun. I guess they’d be fighting the Rebels, particularly the Rebel Smuggler unit as a reference to Han the smuggler ultimately fighting Jabba’s forces
I used to love the Sarlacc and Rancor grabbing and eating people. The Rancor also kind of poops you out after it eats you as your body falls out of the area where its butt would be. 😂
I love the attention by the devs for the original Battlefront 2. To actually use the more recent Episode II style dune shapes in the Tatooine level shoes that they really paid attention and cared.
@@oliround Well on the ps2 & xbox versions is were most of these glitches are. PC has most of these bugs already fixed sadly. So i think most bugs will be fixed in the Classic collection but we will have to wait and see.
Also battlefront 1, don’t forget the importance of thermal detonators. Not only to kill but to blow back and even bounce people. Cloud city for instance the middle plat forms can be a bitch to get all the way across while being sniped at, having jet troopers blow every inch up, and the worst part would be having a hero coming at you with near invincible powers. Your best best it to blow a way across, not necisarily for the kills but the knock back power will send them flying off the plat form or atleast off their feet long enough for you to move to the next pillar.
I figured that shit out when I was 12. When we realized we couldn’t insta-kill Mace Windu with the droid tank, we kinda just blasted him into the pit using the explosions like the shitters me and me brothers were.
the remake cantina isn't really more accurate, not layout wise at least, the devs said it themselves in one of the posts from the official page back in the day. The tipped table is a nod to when the two thugs throw luke before getting cut by obi wan
Tuskens were also OP in the 1.0 build of BF1 because their cycler rifle inexplicably worked like a normal blaster rifle. So they were basically an army of blaster rifle users and snipers; making it very easy for them to take over the map on console if you just choose to not fight.
That's false han knew greedo was gonna shoot him anyways so he flipped the table knocking greedo's hand to the side so his shot missed, thus han was given that split second to shoot greedo in the chest before walking away. "That was a boring conversation anyways." - han solo
If I remember correctly, if you get grabbed by the Rancor in STBF 2 and then kys via menu your character will spam out ammo and health packs like its nothing. I think it only works with heroes but I might be wrong on that?
Man, dealing with Heroes in BF1 was a whole thing you had to learn lol. Me and friends made a science out of finding ways to kill them, even if it was temporary.
For OG BF 2, there's a remastered mod that gives some Instant Action maps, a campaign mission. Like on Tantive IV, you have to escape with the death star plans. Another feature of this mod adds AI Heroes into the mix. In addition, on 1 Flag, none of the AI will ever take the flag through the left side of the map.
You know, this is kinda funny since in the anthology novel "Return of the Jedi: A Certain Point of View", which celebrates the 40th anniversary of RotJ, there's a story about the Sarlacc that opens up with "STOP THROWING BODIES IN MY MOUTH!" May be slightly paraphrasing, but you get the idea.
The Rancor spamming health and ammo doesnt only work if you respawn during the animation. If you shoot somebody else a lot while they are getting eaten then they will also give you a lot of ammo and health. I never thought of it as a glitch but as an Easter egg as a kid.
The original battlefront game you might notice that it is harder to play as some factions on specific maps it actually is. On every map if you leave the npcs alone they will always have the same outcome one faction will always beat the other.
@@Hank_Hill.Yeah that’s actually true. It prioritizes the lore behind the battle over the concept of “balanced” gameplay. For instance it’s almost impossible for the rebels to win on Hoth without a skilled player because the Empire is given such distinct advantages because they had those advantages in the lore.
Dude I was the first to kill a jedi hero on the first BF, in this town i lived in when it first came out. Used a speeder bike and that trusty sarlacc pit, it was great...
I just KNOW that at least one match was decided because one player decided to sacrifice themselves to heal their whole team using the bacta tank glitch
I remember the bacta diarrhea trick on Mos Eisely... If you did it too many times on the heros mode(with Chewy), then all the ai on that side would spawn as Han Solo...
Have you ever tried the skybox floor glitch on Mos Eisley in classic BF2? There's a certain area that if you fly towards the sun, you'll encounter a little dot that indicates a floor in the sky that you can walk on above the map!
@@Hero_of_Sinnoh You motivated me to download classic BFII and look at it. Apparently it functions somewhat differently on PC. On the PS2 build back in the day, there was a little red dot that indicated the floor and I remember it being much wider. The PC version is a lot less... interesting, but it still works. I recorded a clip and uploaded it! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nwr2VKZsTI8.html
@@TanukiYTThats so cool I had no idea! Thanks so much, you didn't need to go through the trouble of downloading the game but appreciate the effort. Gonna try this myself. Is it ok if I show this glitch in a video?
I wish the big companies that only care about money would stop getting rights to these great games. I want a battlefront 3 with LOVE put into it, not just money.
Legit being the cis on tattoine dune sea always meant mace windu would be hitting the tuskens hard, so hop into a droid fighter with a sniper and start pulverizing the dune sea area unless o had the sabotage bonus on then I would be armor hunting and knocking out the republican tanks while waiting for the dune speeders to fill up with atleast 3 or more before buzzing the top of it. Not full destroy mode on the dune speeder but enough to kill all the gunners
If you're on console it should be the directional buttons. Want to say up is "follow me." On PC I think it defaults to C for commands, but my game has been mapped for controller for so long I don't actually remember. If it's not you can view all the control mappings in the settings; squad commands are towards the bottom.
You point at them with your crosshair, then click "up" on the d-pad. They follow you around. The higher the rank you are, the more troops you can have following (up to a max of 3 at General rank). To dismiss them, look at them and click "up" on the d-pad again (it can be tricky to dismiss them because they like to stay behind you). And that's it. You can't give them orders or anything, they follow you around though and help you fight. When playing as a hero you cannot have followers, unless you are playing Assault mode.
@@Hero_of_Sinnoh I've had ones regarding it not hitting the enemy, with video proof, as well as when you shoot the gunner on the ATTE it can shoot up to about 6 enemies with one shot due to the AI jumping in the gunner spot as its empty
@@TitusTheBasedSounds interesting, Ill give the ATTE one a go myself. As for the sniper, yea its probably a downgrade from the normal one because of the beams inconsistency. Thanks for the facts I'll try to put them in soon. If you have any more you wana share feel free to let me know
