Here is a video of me driving to work with no sounds just the road and my 2021 Subaru WRX STI i currently have a Tomei Extreme TI exhaust and stock Downpipe, Hope you enjoy and i’ll see you in the next one!
We drive exactly the same. Fun but not dangerously. Responsible fun. Treat the car with respect and the engine will run for a long time. Excellent video
Good sir I salute you 🫡 A responsible and mature man who won't be on the other end of a Vehicular-Manslaughter case because they couldn't save their street racing urge for a $500 track day on the weekend. Too many children behind the wheels of these man-made machines and motorcycles. I'll see you on the road fam.
The more I see these cars the more I fall in love with them I drove a 600hp wrx and I I was blown away I’ve driven hellcats corvette Camaro zl1 1le but the Subaru was by far the most enjoyable of the bunch
Great Vid Nice to See .On our Road's in UK .u see another Scooby they Wave or flash lights Thought it was just us that did this . On my 4th now 2021 STI .
hey what camera did you use to record thisif you dont mind me asking? i have a go pro hero8 myself but havent had a chance to use it in my car but just wanted to know so i can try get similar audio to you
I wonder why the route looked so familiar. I live very close-by to where you started, and drive on the same route in my manual BRZ pretty much everyday. Yes, my down-shifts aren't that smooth yet. :P
Owned the same car, no idea how it’s not bogging out going that slow in such high gear… yes I get the cruising part but you are flying through gears like a mad man at slow speeds! 😂
Depends on where you live, how you drive it, and how long you want it to last. I daily drive mine in all seasons. I do oil changes with high quality oil every 3k, i get it undercoated with waxoyl once a year, wash the car at least every month, and do the rest of the maintenance as per owner's manual.
When you come to a full stop at a light/stop sign. You're staying in neutral? I was under the impression you gotta start out at first gear each time. Is it easier to just stay in neutral at a full stop and then shift 2 3 4 etc
You’d just be slipping your clutch more from starting from a full stop in 2nd. Staying in neutral for full stops like a red light is optimal since your throwout bearing gets worn out when you have the clutch fully depressed or when you’re riding the clutch in general. I drive a GD wrx sti and personally it doesn’t like going into 1st when I’m rolling slow unless I double clutch or rev match so I sometimes slip 2nd if I’m just rolling thru a stop
Finally someone who knows how to drive manual. So many boys will run first gear to 6k+ and shift high. This is how you ruin a car. And worse yet literally down shift to first. Cringe. This why you'd never want to buy a used WRX or STI. Take notes, 4kjoe knows how to drive manual
@@TehSpury I daily drive a stick RX8, same thing. Even at low speeds like right on that line between it'll let you and it won't i can feel the syncro chatter if i force it
@Vincent Abeyta I think it just depends on the vehicle. Maybe cars with taller ratio first gears such as a shelby mustang you'd be able to downshift to first easily.
@@RubioGarage Lol right, I do this all the time in my 18 WRX and I'm at 79k miles with zero issues. It's not a problem, there's barely any load on the engine if you're already cruising at a constant speed on flat ground. Obviously if I have to speed up or the terrain changes, then I downshift to adjust.
Don’t know if you know this but will say it anyways for other people in simple terms. Since he is cruising = high gears~~> low rpm and low rpm = less gas being burned for more cruising :)
@@pirtl_turtl yeah but when going 40 mph in 6th gear under 2k rpm u better not be flooring it, too much high load and fuel dump at low rpm will blow the blow ur motor
@@westcoastplinkin6559 Only a pain to some and not a pain to others. Completely opinionated comment. Driving manual in traffic comes natural and feels natural to me. Driving is a privilege, not a right nor burden, and I enjoy it.
@@DarkHorse08 Not opinionated at all, an automatic is superior to a manual in traffic. There is no debate. There is zero advantages to a manual when it comes to traffic compared to an automatic that offers a huge advantage of doing everything for the driver.
not at all!! theres a lot of subies out there so its definitely hard to compete but any car enthusiast builds the car for themselves not for others! its a great platform and although theres a lot of issues they are definitely owner error
That's good spot. To have it, that's where I shift in my WRX. I guess it depends on what tune you have not sure if yours is but the last STi I drove I found it to be more comfortable at 3500 rpm. So I guess a more conservative approach to your shifts?
