11 - My first ever play through of Cyberpunk - Andrew is a WHAT? 

I have not enjoyed and been so invested in a game since RDR2. Its the only other game that can stand on the same level of writing and presentation.

Honestly I’m there believing with you. Here are many amazing games in my top list, but few have honestly grabbed me like this so early

@@gwoody4003 I love both games too, I just wish Cyberpunk’s AI was as good as RDR2, like when it comes to NPCS and how they react to you and danger. I far prefer the combat and movement in Cyberpunk though. A lot people complain about it only being in 1st person (unless you’re on motorcycle) but I greatly prefer first person combat in games. It feels so much more immersive.

@@tmendes24 yeah the Cyberpunk world is far less dynamic. The NPCs are really simple. The scale, complexity and detail of Night City and the quality writing hide it very well though. Its kinda supported by lore. The residents of Night City are disconnected, drugged up, fearful and as a result antisocial. Everyone is permanently connected to their smart phones via brain implant. Nobody goes out of their way to acknowledge or engage with strangers cus looking at someone funny could get you killed. It gives you that feeling of being both surrounded and alone and suits the game world. The charachters we do get to engage with are really well written and acted and do a good job of representing the different groups, their place in the city and the variety of viewpoints and lifestyles. Its so well done.

What blows me away is the diversity of NPCs. There are thousands and thousands of them walking around, and I do not feel like I keep seeing the same guy everywhere. I almost never see 2 identical NPCs anywhere near each other and I am not saying "oh that guy again" like most open worlds. They have different gaits and mannerisms. Even the enemies have variety, most games there is only 1 or 2 models each for goon, elite and heavy enemies. Like Far Cry... you are fighting an army of identicaly dressed clones 😆That variety really helps with the immersion. You see clips of the release version, you would have several of the same guy walking in a line together. Everyone on the street doing the same thing. They really worked on the NPC presentation.

AIR DASH? On stream last night I was only wishing I could dash in the air! Instead I was dashing then double jumping - you can go surprisingly fast that way! I’ll go to the ripper doc asap

@@holliewoodjays Air dash isn’t cyberware. You have to have 15 points in Reflexes. But yes I use it to get around a lot (and jump across traffic without looking both ways). I love riding around on the motorcycle, but you actually earn points towards the Shinobi skill by dashing & air dashing, which unlocks a lot of benefits, like faster movement. 😃 If you look at the skill progression stuff in the bottom right corner of skill tree menu you can see all of what you can unlock. Using a a shotgun progresses your Solo skill btw.

@@holliewoodjays Check your backpack, maybe you did pick up the documentation for this rifle. You may craft different tiers weapons once you find/buy documentation for them, but once crafted you may upgrade only legendary/iconic ones. That’s why you couldn’t upgrade the shotgun you liked - it was a common tier weapon. It’s always better to create weapons rather than buy them, as it’s cheaper, and you enhance you skills tree 😉

@@EnDSchultz1 yeah there's a few things that don't turn up in there. I dont think you can get the rubber dong billyclub or the smart pistol prototype from there.
