new subscriber here! i got interested when i saw the list. i mean, some of them aren’t reviewed yet of other fragrance related channels. i like videos that give spotlight to other perfumes that aren’t hyped yet. i hope one day you’ll show us your updated perfume collection. it’s gonna be eye candy! 😍 P.S. i can relate to you when you said you don’t like it when your fave perfume becomes too popular that almost everyone in the world is wearing it. like you can’t use it anymore as a signature scent coz you’re gonna smell like everyone else. 😂
I always think it is weird when men wear Bacarat Rouge Cinq Cent Quarante, to me it is a very feminine scent with that hint of candy sweetness. I personally don't enjoy wearing it anymore because too many people are wearing it and its various clones, but I used to like it very much. I always struggle with the fact that I love fragrances that might not be considered sexy or crowd pleasing, but every once in a while my SO surprises me and likes something unusual. I was shocked when he loved Fragile Violet from EB Florals (which isn't all that unusual, but is outside his wheelhouse). He definitely is not a fan of animalics. Every once in a while I will pull out my vintage bottle of Bal A Versailles and he runs for the hills hahaha. Definitely bring back the floating torso! This was interesting.
I comletely agree about Baccarat, I completely can't imagine it on a guy. I find it exteremly feminine as well and same with edp and extait, I much prefer edp because it's less sweet and more complex. Really enjoyed watching ! I would never think Woody Mood can be perceived as a sexy fragrance tbh, but I suppose it's a matter of chemistry within a relationship or between two people. Great video, Sam! Sebastian from smelling good fragrances loves and wears Baccarat .So does Scentrifucal force, and he is really masculine. In fact, he has spoken a lot about how scent is neither masculine or feminine. We associate scents with men and women because we are conditioned to do so
I thought I was the only one that found smoke and incense sexy, I’m into more darker fragrances. Its interesting that your man appreciates deeper, unique & oriental scents, most men go for fresh citrus or super sweet great video !
@@MyWorldofFragrance I live in Kuwait and off of your suggestion, from your hot/cold temperature fragrance video, I went on a manhunt for TFK to try Youth Memory. It's a FASCINATING and subtle type of fragrance... works excellently for me. I purchased it, but the only reason I'm holding on to the receipt is because I'm not sure about the performance of it. I doused myself in it, at the shop, with the sample fragrance and I told the salesperson that even though I'm going to buy it, I have to see its lasting ability. I REALLY want to keep it, so I'll just keep deliberating and see what I decide to do by the end of next week. Thanks for the recommendation!

I'm loving the new hair color. 👌 Your boyfriend has fantastic taste. I like that he's into complex and unique fragrances. The only "animalic" scents that my husband actually likes on me are ones with leather, especially if it's mixed in with florals.
I love it that you two disagree on some of the fragrances. My boyfriend and I often disagree on fragrance. (I have this terrible feeling that he might want me to smell like sweet roses and vanilla! hahaha... I'm a woman and love/wear mostly "unisex" and even some "masculine" fragrances.)
Interesting, i find Baccarat edp way more sweet then the extrait.and i find the edp very girly and the extrait more refined.but that's just me 🤷♀️ i loved the video!

Have you smelled Tauer Au Cœur du Desert? I got samples for both and I fell in love with the whole vibe but can’t make up my mind which I want to own. I feel they are too close to buy both. The samples are dabbers so pretty useless in trying to get a good idea of how they differ, how they perform. Just wanted to get your take on this 😊 Some people say they are very similar but ACDD lasts longer since it’s an extrait. But supposedly LADDM projects better…. BTW, just stumbled into your channel and I’m binge watching your videos. Really want to try a lot of the frags you mention, but in the US, where I live, it’s really hard getting access to a lot of them, especially Middle Eastern.
Thank you so much. Yes I have, I personally prefer the original LDDM, but if you like a 'thicker' version, go for ACDD. It's true that LDDM project more, but some people say it doesn't last as long. Perhaps it's been reformulated, so try for yourself. The old bottle I have is sufficiently strong - you really get both longevity and sillage with it, plus it's still one of my top favorite fragrances years later. 🌹Xo Sam

I agree on Gentle Fluidity Gold. I thought I liked it, but once I started wearing it, a note came out from the background that I hate. It smells like amber wood, even though that’s not listed as a note. It smells like mushrooms. Without that note, it would be lovely.

Dry, sophisticated tobacco: Montabaco by Ormonde Jayne, Sweetened tobacco: Chergui by Serge Lutens, A*Men Pure Havane by Mugler, Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford (or the cheaper option, Amber Oud by Al Haramain), Volutes by Diptyque, if you want a classic style: Tabarome Millesime by Creed. My World of Fragrance Sam, received my Ibiza discovery set. Yesterday. The only one that is ok is cafe del Mar. I def got my hands on wrong collection. Flamenco is as annoying as Delina by PDM. Disappointed.

I agree with everything about Woody Mood but it has a "designer" vibe to its scent which reminds me of the base of some high-end designer releases. I like it a lot but not collection worthy in my opinion.

I would go for subtle, yet inviting... if you like floral-musky Fleur de Peau by Diptyque, Lacoste Pour Femme, Chanel No. 22 I find smells very clean and classy when sprayed lightly, Nice Bergamote by Essential Parfums, Mure et Musc by L'artisan Parfumeur... I gorgeous tea scent such as Dear Polly by Vilhelm Parfumerie... some options to try 🌹Xo Sam
Animalics are tricky. I can’t stand the smell of leather on me or my partner and there are certain perfumes with civet that make me straight throw up. I do enjoy a light musk+ambergris combo but if it’s too much like musk Outrenoir I find it too “clean” and get headaches.

In the Arab world, animalic scents are associated with luxury and elegance. Women and men wear them equally, and definitely a scent for alluring but also to draw lines and gain respect. It's the holy grail of all fragrances.
