I fell in love with Eau Duelle gradually coming from the synthetics of mainstream vanilla. I think I might try divine vanille to take another brave step towards more complex vanillas. Gentle fluidity in gold has been on my radar for ages, will have to sample that as well.
@@MyWorldofFragrance Sam, have you ever tried Laya by Ne'emah? He's a Kuwaiti perfumer... I wonder your thoughts on it. The notes are vanilla, rose and musk.
We are on the same level! When I read the title of the video I thought “Lune Feline!” I live that boozy vanilla backbone ☺️ love your channel I have no idea where I’ve been not watching?!
A gorgeous list of vanilla fragrances here. . I think I'd love Architects Club. Need to try that one day. My faves i have so far are Gentle Fluidity Gold MFK, Vanille Fatale TF, Virgile SD and Whispers in the Library MM. I would love Angelique Noir one day, I just love that Angelica note x
Eau Duelle smells just like Ani to me. Very good but I don't need it since I have a big bottle of Ani. PS I have a lovely vanilla called Vanilla Flash- I really dig it. The Fragrance Apprentice said it smelled like an art room- so I was in. Today my SOTD is Le Baiser du Dragon!! I think I’m obsessed for a while!
Hey Sam. As a man I never liked wearing vinila but over time I learned too love the write vinilas that worked well on me. I like when it's blended with coffee or tobacco or with sweet fragrances in the summer. Vinila can be very sexy if worn in the write way. Not too overpowering. Take care.✌
Hi Zee, thank you for your comment. I think a lot of modern releases for men have vanilla in them too. There is definitely something sensual about vanilla on a man! Those combinations are indeed amazing. 🌹Xo Sam
Thanks for sharing this wonderful collection! Have to test „Vanilj“ some time soon - it was new to me. And that’s what I love about your videos: I always learn about exquisit houses and rare fragrances. Well done!
I totally agree, there have been so many times when I expected to smell vanilla and got vanilin, tonka, or something synthetic and cake-y. I was on a mission awhile ago to find a good vanilla. Eau Duelle and Divine vanille are so well loved but didn't work for me at all. I found them to be uninteresting and the vanilla notes to be underwhelming for what I thought would be the star note, eau duelle was slightly spicy (not really woody or vanilla-y to my nose) and divine Vanille was fruity. I even came back to the samples after a few months hoping something would change, but alas, not my favorites. Maybe I'll revisit in a few years. I do love Vanilj (powdery, comforting and paired with that cedar? Phenomenal) and Lune Feline though, plus more mainstream loves like Tobacco Vanille and Spirituese Double Vanille and the indie house Kyse Perfumes has so many interesting (but very gourmand) vanilla scents. Thanks for sharing! I'll definitely check out some of the other recommendations here.
Thanks for sharing! Ah interesting. I guess they didn't work for you, which is totally fine. If there were a part two to this list, Spirituese Double Vanille would probably be there. I haven't tried Kyse yet, thanks for the recommendation. 🌹Xo Sam
Oh lovely! Enjoy that Vanilj and let me know about any others. I didn't include Vanille de Tahiti as that was already in the milky video, but know you're a fan of it too. 🌹Xo Sam
Arquiste Architect’s Club is so overpriced yet smells perfect on me. I’m a 24 year old woman. Honestly did NOT expect to like it because of the description. Thought it would be too masculine. It is a beautiful scent.
For a long time I thought I didn't like vanilla. Especially that some types of vanilla just don't work with my body chemistry and smell like burnt plastic on my skin. But since I've discovered Lira, Divine vanille and so many others that I enjoy. 🥰 Thank for this list, it gives me other options to try 😊
Hello Sam amazing video as usual I don’t need to listen to white noise before bed I just listen to your videos 😉 I was positive you were saying Lira from casamorati I do have a discovery now I must smell Dama Bianca I wish I’ve listen to this about Ivory Route found a great deal for Black Friday but didn’t have a reference I trusted now I now .. I found strange that Guerlain SDV didn’t make to this list another great one is Tihota by Indult the pain of the hype I purchased my first Orchidee Vanille for 60 Dollars now with all the hype was searching for it and first hard to find second over 200 I’m a Vanilla lover and to bed I love La Vaniglia by Bois 1920 on my radar is Hermès Vanilla Galante
Thank you, Ruth. Well, Lira is definitely a vanilla too, but I get more caramel. You're right, Spirituese Double Vanille didn't make it for this shortlist, but if there were a part two, it probably would. I haven't tried Tihota yet, but have been looking for it. Thanks for the recommendations. You seem to know your vanilla! 🌹Xo Sam
Yas! I LOVE vanilla, omg so excited about this. Very hard to find good vanillas that dont turn on me. I wore an oil for years that was discontinued and haven’t been able to find anything that comes close. I will try some of these✨
Thank you! Mm if you like oils, then I forgot to mention L'etang Noir by Maison Louis Marie. It's a vanilla-nutmeg delight. Hope it would work on your skin. 🌹Xo Sam
My 10/10 vanilla: 1- Hind Al Oud "Emarati Musk"(It is the only perfume in the world to have the sweet notes of Dates and Vanilla) 2- Royal Fragrances London "Vanilla Couture"
Hello! Indeed, vanilla season in bloom 😃 the IVORY ROUTE - would be great to see its full time review 🥰🙏 and any of following (I like them all and would love to know what You think of them) 1, Vanille Insensee by Atelier Cologne, 2. La Danza delle Libellule by Nobile 1942, (once the apple note dies the most beautiful and gourmand vanilla is born.... love the drydown, in spite of a headache 😂) 3. Vaniglia Fior di Mandorlo by Acca Kappa and 4. I wouldn’t finish list without my beloved Extatic Intense Gold by Balmain 🥰 Good night Sam! 🌸🌺🌼
Thank you! Ah yes, will try to do that. I like Vanille Insensée, I didn't try La Danza properly enough to capture the vanilla (only sniffed on a blotter briefly), Fior di Mandorlo I liked, and the Balmain I have not tried! Thanks for sharing! 🌹Xo Sam
@@MyWorldofFragrance Hi Sam, thank you for sharing your experiences🌹 I thought you maight like the Vanile Insensee 😉 As for Extatic Intense Gold - it was a short limited edition dated 2014, so extreemly difficult to find now. If you would like to check it (out of curiosity) I can make a decant for you and sent it via post 🤗 as for La Danza.... this juice is truly worth trying on your skin. You may like it or not, but the blend is divine composition worth testing 🥰 Xo 🌷
Great video! This is my favourite fragrance category for sure, so I appreciate your suggestions 🤗 I absolutely love Lune Feline. A designer option I also enjoy and use a lot is Whispers in the Library. Og nå fikk jeg lyst på kanelboller 🤩
WOw, so many vanillas I love so so much and that made to my personal list (some I discovered after recording my vodeo): Eau Duelle, Ivory Route, Orchidee Vanille, Gentle Fluidity Gold, Dama Bianca ...All on my top list!! Such an amzing lineup. But Mona di Orio Vanille was on my list of vanillas that I don't like. I tested Divine Vanille, as far as I remember it remineded me of Roses Vanille or Intesne Cafe. I definitely have to try Lune Fleine, I keep seeing it among the recommendations way to often for me keep ignoring it :D
Ah, lovely to hear from a lady with such fine taste! I can see why you wouldn't like Mona di Orio's vanilla, it is different. Hm, yes Divine Vanille isn't necessarily ground-breaking, but a well-priced option. I'm pretty sure you'd enjoy Lune Feline.🌹Xo Sam
Wow I just placed a samples order and vanille orchee and lune feline were there. Would love to see a review on them 😌 and I have to admit, I expected to see Serge Lutens Un bois vanille in your list (:
I just received my sample of Dama Bianca and I was finding it hard to place what it reminds me of but you've solved it for me! A powdery, fluffy, vanilla, Lagafeld cat!! Yes!! Hahaha xx
Some great ones there, I'm never sure if I love vanilla as for anything more than a comfort fragrance but there were some interesting ones 🙂 I guess my Mugler Alien Essence Absolutio is the stand out one I have for being quite different
How is Dama Bianca different from Gentle Fluidity Gold? I am absolutely IN LOVE with GFG and I wanna blind buy Dama Bianca but I’m not sure if I’m gonna like it..
I didn’t realize how much I truly loved vanilla until I fell for Kayali Vanilla 28 by Huda beauty and Dama Bianca by Xerjoff. Double Spiriteuse and Feve are up there in my list as well. They’re just very well done without being juvenile and flat
Gentle Fluidity Gold and Ochridee are on my list when one of my perfumes are done. I have Eau Duelle Edt. I’ve had edp in the past, and I’d go back to that. I have Raghba, Nuit et Confidences, Goutal, and Vanille Absolu, Montale for dessert. It’s always good to have a few overt vanilla perfumes.
U made me curious now. I was never into vanilla or vanilla+Amber because there are so many perfumes that use these notes that to my nose it is nothing special...almost boring. I only like a boozy vanilla. So yeah, I'll definitely give them a try
Would love to hear your take on Torn by Henry Rose if you ever get a chance to sniff it. It’s definitely my favorite vanilla and overall perfume this year. It smells like this boozy woody vanilla to me - notes said the wood is veltiver but I somehow picked up a lot of sandle wood from it. If it comes off a bit on the simple side for your nose - it layers well with other heavy dry woody scents. I sometimes pair it with Eau Duelle to make the latter less dry and more sensual :)
Think I would like xerjoff and the fragrance kitchen, to be fair they all sound wonderful !! Happy 2021 ---> let us know when you finally give in and buy, it is the new year after all so you get to reset !!! Question - do you limit yourself to how many bottles of perfume you buy in a year ?????
Thank you! Haha, I have given in... I only waited until the 1st of January to place an order! I will probably be sharing soon. In theory my limit is a bottle per month, but we all know that plan has gone down the drain. 🌹Xo Sam
I love dirty vanilla by Heretic eau des missions vanilla Mona Di Orio vanille Atelier des Ors Lune Feline & xerjoff Lira & of course Shalimar! Tobacco vanille by Tom Ford I have gentle fluidity Gold I don't get vanilla much
I find Gentle Fluidity to have more of a “fluffy” texture, it also is pretty sweet, and Eau Duelle EDP is more of a smoky vanilla than the EDT. A lot of the others I don’t have experience with though so I’ll have to check them out.
