Sajeda, I just realized you said on an iPad. Unfortunately the annotate.net extension won't work on an iPad, though supposedly Chrome extensions will be coming to iOS soon!
This is not just about this video but about you in general. You are amazing. You are one of the people who got me through online teaching and without you it would have been quite hard. Love you man. Thank you so very much for all you do. I hope you getting compensated for this. ❤️🌹🌺
Hi Sam, I have a question regarding the security of our data in the classroom. Is it possible to set up our system in such a way that the students can access the files in the classroom, but are unable to save or download them? This is to ensure the security and exclusivity of our materials. I'm looking for a solution that allows for full access within the classroom environment while preventing any form of external saving or distribution. Could you please advise if this is feasible with our current setup or if there are any tools or settings we can implement to achieve this?
Hey Sam!!! Haven't seen your videos in a while...just been so overwhelmed with COVID both in my family as well as at school. But just wanted to ask if you heard about Slide Carnival and if you could do a video on it!! Hope everything has been fine with you and your family.
Hey Niloufer! Thanks for tuning back in :) And sorry for the late reply. I have heard of SlidesCarnival and have mentioned a similar website called SlidesMania on this video - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wfDATsi3bY0.html
I am. geometry teacher. I have been looking for a free online compass and ruler/straightedge tool. Can you advise? My slides are all prepared but I want to record the process.
Check out Mathigon - mathigon.org/polypad#measuring You can't put it over your slides but they're free digital math manipulatives. If you have a Windows computer, the Whiteboard app by myViewBoard has some great math tools that you can actually OVERLAY onto slides. We just did a video about Whiteboard that got uploaded this morning. Their math tools are more limited on their Apple app versions.
Wow! Another clear, concise yet comprehensive video. Plus, I always learn something new from you. Thanks for introducing me to Google's applied digital skills. I'm checking it out right now.
You ruined my evening plans for work, Sam. Thank you, your video is very useful. Annotate and Schoollytics are new to me and how did I live without them? Hooked on your channel now, great work!
Thanks for this. A few caveats. Google “culture” isn’t really culture. It’s a depiction of culture. E.g. seeing a jpg is not at all like seeing the oil on the canvass yourself. “Relevance” comes from whether they can us eit in their own lives, not whether it’s on the Internet. I’d say in general the hidden challenge here is to keep is relevant DESPITE it being online, because obviously the majority of stuff online is NOT relevant in a meaningful way.
Sam, you're just amazing . It's just a couple of weeks since I have discovered your channel. You can't imagine how much I am learning. Thank you wholeheartedly and keep up the good work. Jules
