For Sweethome S2, I felt a disconnect from season one so many side stories and too what end. I for one is disappointed with this season tbh it lack the feel good there isn't any character I was rooting for besides the season one cast they barely had screen time 😭😭 it was a lot, i think there were too many characters, which werent even interesting to me and the focus wasnt on the leads that much when it should be. It really felt like the leads were having cameos in their own show. it was a boring season because we audiences were force to all of sudden watch the new cast that’s human w/ uninteresting story. The main cast were gone for the most part. It was like another show. They were killing characters we loved from season 1 without much send-off like Jisu...like why did you build her up in season 1 only to just make her a minor character who is killed off just like that. why so much/many scenes with those soldiers if they was just killed on the later episode? i’ve been sayinggg i was lowkey disappointed because where was hyunsu the whole timeee😭😭 I mean im been waiting forever for Sweethome to return bcs of these characters that ive/we've love from the first season but...😢 Still I'm happy that my boy LDH is back. And that Tension scene of Eun-yu and hyun su they giving is chemistrying! Hope more screentime for them in s3 now. &Since they're killing off a lot of og s1 characters, i hope they wont k/ll eunyoo or turn her into a monster. I like that she's a human. Like her being the bridge/link between their humanity and monster self, at least for hyunsoo and maybe eunhyuk too. Yes, Go Minsi back must be hurt carrying this season. And they atleast did interesting for the ending to keep me watched s3&Sure they did improved a lot for the effects and production, thou s2 doesnt hit like s1 but the cast did a good job 🫶 In the end, i understand that maybe it really needed for this season to be like this to build up s3 and just really expect for an great impact as s1 for the characters that we loved! I disagree on the second point. YiKyoung being able to control her monsterization is the same as HyunSoo controlling his. We see how he starts losing control in the last episode and maybe next season it’s up to EunYoo to help bring HyunSoo back to himself because he’s grown to hate humans more and more. I know this season wasn’t ideal but they had to fill in a lot.

I waited so long for S2 and ngl i'm kind of disappointed, "they killed Jisu for nothing, one of the siblings died so suddenly, and the dog owner lady just disappeared without any explanation." The main protagonist and antagonist were missing for half of the season, Eunyu was roaming around (idk how to explain this). The military men story line was messy, and what exactly happened to them at the ending and at last they didn't even showed what happened in the Stadium. The whole of S2 felt like a trailer for S3. I get it they want to make a S3 but atleast give us something in S2 instead of all this mess and confusion.

I get that it was more about catching up with the survivors. However, so many things were not answered. We should have gotten the backstory of how hyunsoo got out of his tree(?) form. And why was eunyoo in a cocoon for almost a whole year? It was a whole lot of extra storylines that never went anywhere. It’s like having the feeling to sneeze but never sneezing. The main character was missing for most of the show😂 We got a weird pastor, a mom with cancer, a woman with hiv that’s kinda suicidal, boyfriend of hiv girl missing, little girl turning ppl into monsters, soldiers on screen for most of the time- it just keeps going😂 What happened to the lady with the dog? What happened to the dog?😩 I know but seems trivial but the fact that the dog just disappeared didn’t sit well with me lol.

Don’t fucking get me started on the people in the stadium 🤣. I was literally hoping they would all die by a monster attack by the end of the season. But apparently THERE WERE NO FUCKING MONSTERS. APPARENTLY ALL THE MONSTERS WERE ATTACKING THE APARTMENT ONLY I GUESS. I can’t believe they forced me to watch this simp girl (chiefs daughter). She has MORE FUCKING SCREEN TIME THAN HYUSU WHAT THE FUCKKK!! I DONT FUCKING CARE ABOUT HER LOVE LIFE. OR LACK THEREOF. It feels like I was watching fucking saving private Ryan or something like that. When you finish season 2 and realize that this show was supposed to be about monsters but you realize you sat through a fucking military style show. It’s like I was watching A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SHOW. This just can’t be the 9.9 rated webtoon. They have to be shitting on this dudes creation by adapting it EXTREMELY POORLY. I fucking fell asleep after the timeskip. My heart can’t take anymore of this nonsense 🤣🤡. I’ve seen people mess good shows up. @@Vortex_ICEcold couldn't agree more! If I couldn't fast-forward all the lame soft sob storyline, I'd have dropped this season completely. They killed all the popular characters from season 1 like Ji Su just to introduce us to a bunch of useless characters that contribute nothing to the show. Nothing on how Hyun Su was kind of turned into stone and how he got out. The lady and her dog just vanished for no reason. How does the monster goo go from one host to another and whose personality would be kept. In season 1 finale Ui Myeong claimed that the lady with the abusive husband "was him", but I never got how it was since he was still the same form and there was no personality of her in him. Then he took over Sang Wook's body and someeeehow crashed a car because Sang Wook's memory with Yu Ri resurfaced??? How illogial and convenient, very Korean-drama like. The top of the cherry is how Nam Sang Won's personality somehow took over Sang Wook body, like how??? Season 1 already has so many plot holes but season 2 is just like a Swiss cheese.

Yeah but i HATE how the little girl doesn't have the love for humanity that should've been instilled in her from the mc and her mom. Like i know being hunted and shot down is a huge reason for that besides her mom being so scared/hateful/overprotective of her contact with humans. Not to mention the part of her that's from her father. But the little girl showed a tiny bit towards hating/hurting humans completely. Then abandons it so quickly that it does such a disservice to the kindness from mc and the care from her mom in the blink of an eye. I wanted her to be more conflicted or something so i could find some reason to like her.
@Lilnugget_96
@Lilnugget_96 10 месяцев назад
@@catewright1575I understand your point but this is a child who could hear her mother’s thoughts after she was born. Her human mother who was conflicted between raising her and killing her and ended up abandoning her due to her inner conflict. She was raised by a human monster like her, which was when she was first exposed to love. I think whatever love for humanity she had died when those humans hunted her down to kill her and instead of comforting her, her mother chose to inflict hurt on her instead. I think she grew resentful then and with the limited exposure she had towards humans, she began seeing them as enemies. I’m not blaming the mum here. She had her own reasons for doing the things she did and she tried hard to protect her daughter from the world and to protect the world from her daughter. With that being said, I admit that I empathise more with the mum and Hyun-soo than the girl, probably because we’ve been exposed to them more in the previous season. Maybe I’m biased, but I can still understand the reasoning behind the girl’s actions. Maybe she’s not meant to be liked at all. We’ll only know her true purpose and potential in the 3rd season. Maybe she’ll have her own character development!

I don't know why people defend season 2 with the excuse that it's a build up for season 3. I mean yes, that's what it is but good quality story telling and movie/tv show producing should be better and not rely on that. That's basically the whole season that was bad with this kind of excuse? It's like Netflix telling us "accept it people, that's how it will be in the future. You'll get one good season, then an awful one, then a good one, then one awful season and so on" And people just accept this, which baffles me. This is not how it should work.

I noticed a lot of people get dissapointed with second seasons of any show tbh and I was the same until recently For most shows it goes like this season 1 - introduction. Introducing the world and the characters season 2 - expanding the chaos, (so genarally a lot of people tend to not like the second season because it creates more new problems on a bigger scale, causing confusion without resolving the problems in this season, leaving an open ending-and usually thats' without knowing WHEN or sometimes even IF there will be season 3) season 3 - conclusion. where we get the answers with sweet home we knew when the second season got announced that there would be a third season as well so honestly I'm just enjoying the show :)

Nah. If Season 2 of a show isn't as good, it's usually because of bad decisions. This season the monsters weren't even scary. The military bro's sucked. There was no real tension at all. It's like the show got a big budget to do season 2 and they just threw cash at everything making it bigger and larger in scope without realizing what made the show so loved in the first place. This reminds me of how The first resident evil movie wasn't that bad and then the sequels got worse and worse with over the top special effects and scope.

i have a strong feeling that with this season , the goal is to create and build context so almost all episodes had many continuous and discontinuous strings of information's for us to take. so in s3 there is chance that it all comes together. Cuz so much of the season is new patterns and chaotic transitions , im sure that coudlnt have been a random thing and i likely intended to makes sense in the season thats coming soon. Also , hyun soo most likely recovers because of the golden hour thing and also with all new patterns of monsterization , its probably hinting at the new world being formed and thats how it would realistically be, if all this happens irl. Lowkey evolution in our world also would have been super chaotic and patternless as it happened but at the current built up scene we are able to assess the large picture , which for this show could an hopeefully is s3!

Well my theory is that It's because she probably had the ability to age fast(on her wish) Because is one of the episodes a 1 year(approx)leap was shown which means she should be 1 or 1.5 years old at that time but she looked like someone who was 5-6 years old which means she aged fastly. When she was attacked, she quickly aged into a teenager. Even when she was just born, her body looked unusually bigger than that of an newborn baby.

The fact he appeared out of nowhere just fine was such a big mess up, how could they not explain. Just show few seconds of this stone thing disappearing a little or part of his "wing" jerking or something. Can't forgive killing of Ji-su, I was anticipating her turning since she was shown passing a control kinda luckly but no, bam she is gone. Lady with a dog, I thought I missed something and the kid. Just hope S3 will satisfy us. Hope for more more more for Main characterS Moment in S3. Ps. they even removed the ost of s1 Imagine dragon, Warrior 😭🎶

I mean, beside the monsters, they completely lost the show's essence. Even the way things were filmed seemed unpolished. Meaningful deaths were made meaningless because of how they were executed. Meaningful characters became unimportant or suddenly taken out of the picture very quickly. The little girl's death wasn't impactful at all for me, and that was because I didn't even realize she had been killed until the next episode, like, how do you mess things up so badly that the death of an important child character becomes so weightless? The curse is driven by desire and symptoms/transformation is triggered by despair, that was made clear during season one, and that was an amazing choice that made sense based on what they showed us, changing that whole thing was stupid af (the monster pregnancy???? how can an unborn child feel desire?), al lot of monsters look the same by far, no real breaking point shown for some transformations, wtf.... a CURE in the form of a vaccine when it is supposed to be a curse?? I got so confused. It disintegrated plotline key points. The way they got rid of the cool fight scenes with those two songs (Side by Side by BeWhy and Warriors by Imagine Dragons) and the way they also got rid of the heartwarming moments and the comedy-like, people turn to comedy during traumatic events because it helps them cope, because that's human and it balances things out a little making them more bearable-that whole combination of comedy, badassery and warmth gave the show humanity, relatability and digestibility. They eliminated that completely. WHY THE HELL DID THEY DO THAT? That creative choice was half of what made the show great. The other half was: amazingly written characters and development, an incredibly well-crafted storyline, and the overall unique horror aspect. All of that... lost on season 2. Now, there were some things from season one that didn't resonate with me. Example: Yikyung's main goal is finding her fiance, a fiance the audience doesn't know or care about. She was so badass on her own, but making something so "meh" be her main drive made me wince in disgust at the writing choice and how it was executed. If they had showed me just enough of him, maybe then, even if I still disliked her being attached to a man (that's just my taste), I would be like, "Fine, let's go save your stupid fiance". But I could never connect with her plotline, I just loved her as an independent character. Even so, I let that slide because most of the rest of the story was so stunningly executed, that the small things that I didn't enjoy were completely overshadowed by the quality and greatness of the rest. Season two was the opposite. All the lazy and horrible overtook the great. All of season one characters have been traumatized, and they still pulled through, otherwise they become monsters (again, despair triggers the transformation), so one could assume the people we saw survive so long and endure so much were strong enough to at least keep going on as humans for a good while (Or at least keep going as themselves). I have BIG issues with the way Jisu's character was written during the first 3 episodes of season 2. Miserable, miserable, half deaf, miserable, then presumably miserably dead. She is the one who made a song called Sweet Home. She was, supposedly, a very important character who had all there was to survive for a long while, especially after hinting at Hyunsu's interest in her (I still see her as gay, cause I'm biased, and because no matter how many times I watch season one, I still can't believe how her flashbacks are displayed... I seriously thought the guy that killed himself was her best friend, not her mf boyfriend, like, I saw no romantic things there, which makes me question the writers' ability to write romance. I mean, I had to find out through a wiki that they were together, wtf). If you're killing her, do it right, not after making her look like a zombie during the entire screen time she had left. I hated Sangwook being possessed, and I kinda of couldn't take that guy seriously too, he just seemed like a sad thing the whole time to me. Eunyoo's character was more or less cohesive though, but I believe that is just because they want her to end up with Hyunsu, which I don't mind, but, probably that's the only reason why they don't kill her off like the other important characters, and that I do hate. I won't even say much about the unnecessary prolonged nudity scenes. If you weren't doing that to begin with, don't fucking start. It doesn't look good, it looks forced and quite disgusting, and I am more than okay with nudity on adult-targeted shows. But, if you suddenly start showing an enormous amount of skin after one season of NOT showing much, well, it looks out of place, it feels forced and abrupt, like you're talking peacefully and suddenly shoving an ass onto the viewers' faces (which is basically what happened lol) Hyunsu didn't feel like himself, Jisu didn't feel like herself, and a lot of characters just felt wrong and were easily disposed of. That's just terrible writing. I don't know who said "Yes, this looks like the perfect continuation for the first season, it's completely cohesive to what we set things up to be", but that person should be fired. Anyway. I needed to get that out of my system.

This is the real origin in Sweet Home - in prequel “shot gun boy” , a boy named ZERO is unknown being. He had the ability to turn humans to monster based on desires. He sees human that there’s “disease” in souls so he gave a “gift” and that’s a “salvation”. Later then, he was captured by scientists. And they make 5 human experiments. A man named One who is first human experiment and he killed and absorb Zero. So he’s the one who cause the apocalypse.

The second season is a joke compared to the first one. The new monster's cgi looks so awful and they dont feel threatening. The story has many plotholes and mostly boring. And they keep unceremoniously killing off old characters, bringing back dead characters and introducing too many new characters. It felt like a crappy fanfic continuation with a low budget. Wich in a way it is cause the story of the comic ended at season 1 and based on the cgi and special effects, season one clearly had a much higher budget. This goes to show that the story couldn't stand on its own once they branched off from the comics. It ruined the show and people should just stop watching at season 1 if they don't want to be disappointed

For number 4, please, read the manhwa and you'll understand better than monster, indeed, EVOLVED into a new human race without emotions (not transformation in monster anymore) For number 6, she died bcs of the man in glasses (the one who is actually a monster in s2, but he wasn't on the manhwa) For number 9, eunhyuk transform at the end of the manhwa, he was the ONLY ONE able to stop Hyunsoo to hurt the others while they were scaping the fake soldiers. The cocoon shown on the show, is on the manhwa too. But that only happened when the monster fullfill all their desires, and then, they went into that stage; monster protect the cocoons, since they know they are important. Eunhyuk and Hyunsoo transform into one of those, after the cocoon is broken, the "new humans with no emotions" born. So, Eunhyuk never died, not in the tv show (they never show his body) or in the manhwa. Eunhyuk is the most powerful monster (when he was, for like, 2min ? Lo), bcs he was able to stop hyunsoo! And, as i said, the other monster don't attack him bcs they protect the cocoon and the new humans. For the other questions, sorry, i've no answer bcs they didn't follow the manhwa and all the new people in the show didn't exist on the manhwa, sorry lol

For me, season two was also interesting sice they introduce new monsters which are very interesting from biological stand point. Song Kang was out of most of the episodes and a lot of season 1 cast is not in most of this season 2. The ones that supposedly died could still reapear since there is not a lot of proofe that she did die. Ji-su if I remember correctly showed fast healing during the stadion testing if they were humans, she would have failed if the bell had not rang and they said no more screening needed. So I think she might survive and come back in seasons 3. Lee Eun-hyuk took a sweet time in his cacoon since the ending of the first season untill the end of season two, which means he gad a lot to think about within himself. Can't wait for S3 to come out.

For Ayi, i dont think her name is Ayi … its just refer to child, girl … we do not know her name yet. Since Hyunsu not calling her by name and Ji Kyung refer Her as Child. And … if based on the Manhwa, She suppose to be Zero Character yet its confusing since Zero suppose to be the first human who had the ability to see Human desire and makes it develop to monsteration which being researched by the military that then makes the whole monsterarion apocalypse happen. But when the lab was about to explode her desire changed into saving ahi. As she was crossing the frozen river to save Ahi it crack and plunge her into her death. Although we see her dying at night, a flashback seen in the morning tells us that Ahi save her to be alive and we can see she didn’t became a monster. The morning scene begs me to questioned was it the being frozen or a combination of change of positive desire and brain not working from being frozen that cured her. On the first season we were shown that transforming can only be stop by death before being fully transformed or by change of desire that made the hybrids. By the first season we saw that ahi was a fully monster because her desire to save her mom was broken, but when she felt her mother was alive she transformed into hybrid. 💡 From my question a came in to the theory that to fully combat transformation a positive desire and a brief shutdown of all our system is to be implemented during the first stages. This theory was based on what Ahi’s mom experienced. So basically a drug that can cause a positive desire then a brief of our system.

Honestly, S2 is all over the place hahaha; this is just me, but maybe, because the original material in which this series was based on (a manhwa with the same name) ended in S1 so that's why there's not much cohesion in the story? But I did still enjoy watching S2, I'm not sure what to feel or expect in S3 though :)

I think the only confusing thing for me was the doctor's friend reveal at the end of season 2. Is he Yi Kyong's husband or the guy who shot the gangster from season 1 and took his body at the end of season 1? If he was yi kyong's husband all this time then he has on hell of a poker face. Also if that's the case, two different monsters used gangster's body then?

yea that was so confusing, the first patient was the husband but how does he have the same body like the gangster who that other special infectee took the body of? Aren't they two different people? First, Cha Hyun-so didnt appeared half of the season and if he appears, theres only a little screen time. Second, new characters? Okay they can add new peeps but they should've make it more interesting like in the season 1 (Sang-wook gangster, the christian katana guy, han du-sik the cripple guy, and Mr An.) Llke more unique personalities will be good, also new peeps? I can't even remember their name. Also couple of og s1 died just like jisu and its more confusing.

I understand that, but if its necessary for them to do those stuff for their build up of s3, like not showing much of main leads, killing s1 og characters, and adding more character or expansion, they should at least made it interesting, they should at least made those uninterested new characters interesting to keep up with the hype of s2 and let the viewer at least satisfy since they let us wait for like 3 years (then we got a cameo for the main leads) hope s3 has 10/12 episode. Its not too much to ask for more i think because we waited like forever and have a lot to answers in s2 like just how hyun su get out from turning into a stone. Thats all just for me.

@@user-ux1sf8jw4i their storytelling felt short with some unnecessary streching o the plot. I hope they work on that. @@acupoftaewithsugaandkookie6523yup, For Sweethome S2, I felt a disconnect from season one so many side stories and too what end. Just hope S3 will satisfy us. Hope for more more more for Main characterS Moment in S3. Ps. they even removed the ost of s1 Imagine dragon, Warrior 😭🎶

But when she got hit by the car is she really dead or alive... I have a big doubt about this??? 2) Sang wook met Yoo ri in season 2 (ep 1) when taking Hyun su with him in the car is she really alive or is it his imagination , even if she is alive will they met each other , will they lover each other again???

And there is another webtoon called "shotgun boy", in which these lab creature(mysterious guy) and the girl (aayi) is explained very clearly... All the answers are available in these 2 webtoons... Additionally, aayi is said to be "zero" in the webtoon, I think... Both webtoons are quite interesting.

I wanted to like this show but honestly there isn’t any consistency in anything plus it is filled with lazy incomplete writing. Also it spends WAY too much time on weaselly and sniveling characters that add nothing to the story line, just filler to make an hour long episode. The whole premise of the show is that people souls are rebelling and turning them into monsters, which seems more supernatural, but only address infected with scientific studies. Like which is it and why?!

I also don't like how some makes minsi(eun yo) feels guilty for how the way they did this season, i mean some saying that 'Go minsi is now the main character' like mimicking. Where infact, she really is a supporting character tho. eunyoo has few lines and basically exists only to remind of eunhyuk's existense. ppl think she's main just because she's the only one from the original cast who appears in every ep but she has 4-6 min of screentime in most of them 🙃

Season 2 I think it's pretty good tbf, very ambitious and with lots of new plots... it's true it kinda lost me for a bit cuz I was like "I don't know any of these people" cuz Hyun So took so long to reappear and half of the people I liked were killed off. But I kept watching and I started liking the new characters and getting invested in them as well, so, it was a bit confusing but pretty well done. Tho one thing I've missed from season 1 is the commentary under the lines, like for me it felt like monsterization was really about depression and fighting you're inner demons or succumbing to it and this season was more like a fantasy action movie kinda like xmen which is fun but I think the feeling that they're talking about something serious elevated Sweet Home for me.

I do have a question as well In season 1 , jisu ( the girl with guitar ) was turned into a monster, her nose bleeds too , right? But she never transform into a monster 🙃 neither she was able to heal her wound I think she had completed more than 15 days of being a monster, So she might also be a MH ? 🚶🍃🍃I guess the creator of this story forget to give her monster's capability
