That was wonderful Mark! Can't agree more that the book is a must for every collector! And, Yes, I would love to see a vid on how Homer Laughlin marketed their wares. That would be so interesting.
I decided to phase out all my dishes and mugs and cups and replace with Fiesta. At first I was considering buying new, but I’m open minded about having different colors, no preference for any one in particular, so after finding a vintage turquoise mug for $1 at a thrift store, I decided to go older and just get it a little at a time. Usually it’s less pricey, found four mugs today for $6 each, and a creamer sugar set with the little tray in Rose for $20, all in excellent condition. Looking forward to the search for more pieces!
Just don’t eat out of the older orange and ivory pieces, they are actually radioactive but not enough to harm you if you’re not constantly exposed. Look it up its interesting.
@@theabbottagencylive5210 yikes. Didn’t know that. So far, don’t have any orange or ivory. Think I will pass on those colors. I was just reading the same about older Pyrex and even some milk glass. I have a lot of old milk glass coffee mugs.
Hello! I stumbled across your video! And I’m glad I did. My family members and I are serious fiesta collectors and you were able to answer my question of the Harlequin 36s bowl name. So thank you! I do have a question that I can’t find an answer to. It’s about Sevilla Ring cookie jars. I just received a cobalt one and it’s looks identical to the others but it’s larger snd the lid sits inside the body vs sitting on top. I can’t find any resource site except for laurel hollow park but it doesn’t go into any specifics on the ring cookie jar. Not sure if you can help me or if this is even the forum to ask. Looking forward to hearing from you
There were many variations in the Sevilla line. There is a collector's group on facebook called Cameron Clay Products. You might want to try them. They have done a lot of work in identifying the various Sevilla pieces.
