There is an advantage with bong cloud it makes your opponent overconfident and cocky so it’s easy to bait big pieces In with the king like the queen then taking it

Great video - I especially liked the triangulation part and think it was explained well BECAUSR you had to go back and clarify a few times. That really helped me to understand it better!
actually, the triangulation part can be explained better with a different definition of opposition. According to this alternate definition, we have opposition when it's not our turn, and when the rectangle of which 2 opposite corners are the 2 kings has all its corners on the same square color. "Straight" direct/distant opposition is when such a rectangle has an area of 0 squares.

Approx. 9:10 - If that is castled queenside, you often have to slide the king to B1 to strengthen the position, in a way not needed with castling kingside.
I knew of opposition but I had never seen the triangulation method before. This is valuable information for my chess arsenal. Thank you for your knowledge and wisdom.

(1) I've just finished watching this entire series of videos. The only things that were new to me (I've got around a 1550 rating, but haven't played in a few decades) was not taking the opponent's pawn, but blocking it instead; and how to use the knight to avoid being checked by a queen. (Some things, like rook lifts, were familiar, but I don't recall ever using them.) (2) I was once told that the reason Grandmasters play "weird" openings against amateurs is because the GM know they'll be able to win anyway. It seems to be a form of handicapping.

I am not Nelson, but I would say the French Defense is a bit easier at our levels because #1 opponents are a lot less prepared for it and #2 even though there are a lot of variations the Sicilian has nearly infinite variations and nuances so it's very difficult for both sides to play a perfect game. That being said I just prefer the Caro-Kann against E4 as I can guarantee I reach a solid and comfortable position for myself as black.

I put on the subtitles by accident and it has some kinda auto-correct thing going on, so when you said "Fianchetto" the subtitles read "fee and kettle"
Getting opposition is one thing I needed to impress on myself, but a good player already knows it and will not let u get that advantage; and u didn't explain anything about the bongcloud except that it surprises and "confuses" an opponent
He explained that the bongcloud is not a good move. After 1 e4 e5 2 Ke2 Black has Nf6 attacking the pawn, and d5, opening diagonals for both bishops. It's a joke opening. It's not one you're meant to play.
Has anyone ever heard of controlled opposition...or m k u l t r a . It is a prerequisite of the "grand masters" and others who have these GLORIOUS titles bestowed ...upon themselves.

2:34, in this position I would actually prefer to O-O, I understand that I'm casting into a pin, but on the next move I'd move knight to g8 blocking off the queen and I'm fine with the semi-open f file in case they want to trade my knight for a white square bishop. I sacrifice my f pawn in many games anyway if I plan on castling kingside. Or semi open g file in case they apply pressure on the pinned pawn with dark square bishop and decide to sacrifice.
Haha Bongcloud! Future video idea: can you show us ways/scenarios to purposefully stalemate/draw? Place your king one knight's move away from queen, etc? Helps beginners eek out a draw when opponent is busy making five queens or something.
