They got it WRONG? I feel like this is one of those situations where it went bad, so you just tell everyone it went the way you wish it went, lol. I took drafting for 2 years and wouldn't fall for that at my drunkest. Anyone who knows pie, technically, shouldn't fall for it either.
@@TheTechAdmin the thing is that in retrospect it is all logical. But once one creates an environment where people start trusting instinct more than actual math, it becomes different. And even with math, it’s still guessing at one length that doesn’t have a straight line, multiplying it with 3.something in your head and then guessing how high the glass is. A guess times a weird number compared to another guess has lots of room for error.
I know what you mean by closer and had to share my best that has won me dozens of drinks. Thought you might enjoy even if you can’t accomplish. The bet is simple, I’ll bet you that I can put one foot flat on the floor and one foot flat on the ceiling at the same time. I’m 6’1” to start with then I’ll explain how dexterous I am and put both palms flat on the floor while standing straight (not bending my knees). When they accept the bet, I will remove my prosthetic leg and touch it to the ceiling.
I was 10 when I discovered scam school and practiced these challenges at the lunch table at school and now that I'm of legal age to actually go to bars and I'm still blowing people's minds, thanks scam school, Btw I had my first Guinness beer when I did my first trick In honor of you sir😂💯🤟
I’ve been watching Scam School since I was 10 (probably a bit too young to know how to bamboozle someone out of a beer). I’m 18 now. Time freaking flies! So glad the show is still going!
U got a long way to go. Don't start counting now. Live it to the max. One day you will blink, and say WTF happened? I'm f&^%$ing old. Then you notice all your friends are dead and gone. Happens that fast.
Scam school has helped me bring a smile to many faces. There is only one bar in my area and I recently saw a woman who looked mad. Tried to cheer her up and she told me to F off she wasn’t going to sleep with me. Told her I wasn’t interested anyway she just looked like she needed a distraction and some cheering up. It’s not always about that sometimes people just like to make other people smile.
1) If one is going to correct another's spelling, perhaps one should make sure one's own English is above reproach. "'Than,' not 'then.'" Punctuation is important too. And that's leaving aside the issue of the incomplete sentence. 2) Ha! Dexter Holland looks ridiculous. But not *that* ridiculous. But at least Brian isn't still doing it twenty years later. C) The Offspring were my *jam.* And still rock.
I’m proud of the fact that I’ve been around for so long that I’ve seen almost all of these. Brian I love Scam School and always have. This was one of the first channels I found on RU-vid and I’m so happy that I did. Cheers 🍻!
Scam School I just wanna thank you so much. I was kinda the outcast kid when I was young and by watching Scam School I learned magic tricks and fun games that I was able to share with people who are now some of my best friends. Without Scam School idk where I’d be today. I can’t wait for what’s to come in the future!
Brian i doubt you'll even see this and its a random vid im watching that makes me want to comment but years ago back when i was in grade 5 i learned my first trick then i found scam school... and you revolutionized me in terms of social gatherings and magic just genuine experiences at the bar and on the street and people still talk about the stuff i learned from you.. so thank you brian !
As an Aussie I would just mention that Jim Morrison (yes, the Doors frontman - that one) was born in Melbourne. Most Aussies KNOW he was an American, so I'd bet a beer on the fact he was born in Melbourne. They'd take the bet that he was NOT born in Melbourne, and then fume when they discover there is a Melbourne in Florida.
I saw one of your earlier video's years ago and I really like it at the time, as I was using a few of the puzzles and bet already getting free drink and a few $ and I pick up a few more tips off you that got me many a free drink and a few bucks back in my bar days. Glad to run across your channel again, it's good to see some all round good time stuff you can have fun with friends or strangers face to face being still put out now, I have seen all those ones plus use a fair few myself so I subscribed as I think more good old fun should be passed on to people like your channel seems to be doing. Keep up the good work mate
My favourite bar bet… “I can drink 3 pints of beer before you can drink 2 shooters” The rules… I can’t touch your glasses, you can’t touch mine. We can not spill anything. Ive bet $20 several times on this one. Never lost.
3:00 I was around for these videos brian I remember when these came out I watched them on iTunes I remember you came from Revision3 I remember oh where the years have gone bro!
Love scam school! I've never seen anything like the 4 chair trick before. It might be the only thing I've gotten from scam school I won't use for free booze or $.
The bottle inversion one was fun, I got it first try. I think its easier to hold steady with the ring finger and flip with index middle and thumb, but its really just about making gravity do work for you in a couple directions. Would have been a lot harder to experiment with people watching, and I did it pretty fast, but you could always call it if you saw someone getting close.
Wasn't he trying to do this on modern rogue during some episode and he couldn't do it? I guess something about it was different. I just remember him rubbing the bottles to get rough surface and trying like 50 times or more lol. What was the variation?
I have one I always win with. Bet that you can stand them in an open space an that you going to walk 3 circles around them and the bet is that you will get them to move out of that circle without touching them before youve even completed the 3rd circle. Starting from their front walk one circle around them , pause, and count 1 . Do another complete circle . Stop and say 2. Then walk away .
The match on the Battle. You can also lick or wet the stripe on the matchbox and slowly transfer onto the match. Then blow on it so it dries. Then light the match on any surface
A guy walks into a bar and orders six shots of tequila. The bartender sets the glasses on the bar and begins to pour. The man picks up the glasses and begins slamming them one at a time. The bartender tells him to "stop, you don't need to drink them that fast". The man says "if you had what I have you would drink them this fast" The bartender asks "what do you have?" The man replies "75 cents"
When I was in 5th grade we did a 4 way push up on the same principal as the 4 chairs. Each put our feat on each other's back. Also, does't have to be done with 4 people. Could be as many as you want and then everyone can walk in a circle on their hands. You can bet that "everyone in the group can walk on their hands" even if not one person in the group can walk on their hands.
i loved the original scam school, it was great....so is revisit. i swear he reminds me so much of the guys i went to college with it makes me feel generic
Fear not, my friend. 10 years is a big occasion, and we want to celebrate properly while bringing the majority of viewers (aka people-who-have-watched-for-fewer-than-ten-years) up to speed.
Cool tricks but I wish the notes that pop up would stay up longer. I had to rewind several times just to be ready to pause playback so I could read what it said!
I have won drinks by betting people in bars that I can do seemingly impossible things with my foot, but it only *SEEMS* impossible. If they know I'm an amputee, it doesn't work out.
I just measured a cup a little bigger than the clear glass one and it was 13 inches circumference vs 5 inches height. I was thinking circumference the whole time though because I know it's tricky and kind of like an optical illusion. With the pouring the beer with the straws, I learned to do stuff like that from making.....drug paraphernalia...lol. And the pool trick with the bolt, what about forward english?
the circumference of a circle is PI * the diameter. If we say PI is ~ 3, you can just look at the diameter of the pint glass at the top and try to see if the height is less than 3 times the pint diameter. so if you try this with people with ANY sort of background in sciences or the slightest of math, youre gonna fail. just sayin
