I think Australia needs to adopt New Zealand's way of playing rugby which is by weight. It also helps mould the player in over coming their fear of playing older age groups as they are exposed to players more their height and weight even if they are a year or two younger. I truly believe this is why NZ has been so dominant in rugby over the years because the talent pool of players are highly skilled and well on the way to peaking during and after highschool.
@@Tom-bp6nowhy is it stupid in this day and age ? Because another race has become more dominant now than 15-20 years ago so rules need to be changed, tbh that’s crazy if you are too scared for your child to get hurt playing a contact sport put them in soccer, touch footy or something else. Would it be fair to change the rules of basketball so a 10year old at 1.65m plays with a 13-14year olds at 1.65m ?
Some kid tackled me with his head in under 12s and injured his neck. While they waited for the ambulance I had parents coming up to me (mostly mothers) asking for my passport and calling me a liar and that I'm not actually 12 years old. One mother actually said "Look at what you've fucking done? You may have paralysed him". My body was alot bigger than the other kids, but my mind was still that of a 12 year old. I cried the whole day and eventually quit the sport for a few years. I feel for this kid. Keep your head up lil bro! Don't let it dissuade you.
This happened with some people when I played as a kid. It is mad, there should be a height and age cap on age groups, rather removing the age and applying height and weight shizzle. Edit As a little scrum half playing with same age who hit puberty long time, we’ll damn me, I’m a tough G now.
i went to primary school with this boy, the prinicpal held a school meeting after this had happened and eveyone is the school had to clap for him and whatnot and i recall him crying on stage.
Sounds like a cry baby to be honest. When i was in middle soemtimes i was over the weight limit and had to ti strip down to my underwear and go running just to be able to play. Chance are he has like 30-40 lbs on most kids.
@@loiscottam theyre 11... and he has the weight and build of a 14-15 year old... he should be playing in a division that is appropriate to that. Thats like saying a featherweight should man up because hes fighting a heavyweight. flawed logic lol theyre little kids lol
@@mattvanemden7573you do realize that an 11yr old kid doesn't have the mental capabilities of a 14-15 year old right? They may weigh the same but they definitely do not play the same. Also, 14-15 yr olds are ahead in terms of physical development, so to put an 11yr old kid there is the most stupidest thing anyone can do.
I Don't see the issue. i was slightly bigger than kids my age and had to play up, there's no reason he can't play under 12/13/14s. it's tough for him but the sport is tough, can't risk someone his size giving kids his age alot smaller than him concussions, i'm all for it.

I’m not questioning that this kid is crying because he’s passionate about the sport he plays. I believe that he is 11 and don’t think it’s right to say he can’t play. I’m saying… IF YOU ARE AWARE THAT YOU ARE CHEATING THEN YOU WOULDN’T CRY FOR BEING CALLED OUT. PLAYING BELOW YOUR AGE LEVEL IS CHEATING. 12 playing with an 11 year old is normal but if you’re 13+ with 5 inches and 40lbs over everyone then yea man that’s clearly cheating. Are you slow or something? If you’re at work and your boss tells you to do something why tf would you risk your job to make some kid happy? They should take it up with his higher ups not him.
It seems like a safety issue with the kid being under 18 and being bigger and stronger then his teams that legally he can't play if a kid gets injured then the club and the firm incontrol would legally be accountable for other kids deaths or injuries.. The kid will just have to find another team which I highly doubt, play privately at home with friends, or wait until he's 18 and legally allowed to play with others.. 😃 hope that helped
@@Quorented bro they’re kids playing rugby, sometimes someone’s gonna get hurt. No reason to kick someone out because it’s “unfair”, shoulda let the other team get their shit pushed in so they’d have to work better together
This is sad as this kid is only waiting to play a sport he loves by his reaction. My son had the same trouble in football. This is not the kids fault as the generation are getting bigger and bigger as we go. Keep your chin up and prove them all wrong, don't let people predict your life. We are as good as we fight back and keep going. ❤
But is he really the age being claimed? This has been a problem lately, refugees claiming to be younger then they actually are, I'm not making it up, there's been hundreds of cases all across the nation. Paperwork can take a long time to actually process or getting paperwork can be almost impossible in some cases. Not even 3 weeks ago 3 blokes were exposed as being 19 and playing with the 13-14 ago league, they were using fake paperwork, they had already played 1/3 of the season and when questions started getting raised activists took up the cause, then their true identities came about and suddenly it all went away and got swept under the rug. I'm not saying that's the case here, if the kid is really 11 then obviously it's wrong and horrible but you have to have all the facts before judging something.
@@bennypit4411 no middle of the season the paperwork should have been verified prior to the season starting not the middle. If the kid is legit he won’t get better if they don’t let him play.
He hit his spurt early when he is playing u15, u16 first XV games everyone would have grown to a similar weight / height as him. i don't think not letting him body every team he plays for a season is that bad.
For sure feel bad for him. If he’s injuring kids because of his size, I think he should play with the older kids maybe. I think it would be a win win for him as well. He’d get better playing up a level
Some kids develop faster or earlier than others.I saw this a lot when i was Junior Rugby coaching in U8`s through to U17`s.There were many physically much bigger lads in some of the age-groups in the UK.I really feel sorry for this lad,it is not usual practice to exclude players in this way. Makes me wonder i there were any`outside-influences`, (parents) from opposition clubs attempting to prevent this lad playing.A real shame to see him upset, hopefully he will not give-up the sport.

Honestly I feel for the kid, but my brothers were 6’2 and 6’3 in 6th and 7th grade and my Dad would NOT let them play against their age group in football or baseball. He made all of us play up higher than our age group and honestly it helped us all out a lot. Made us way better by the time we hit high school. Me and my 4 brothers were all Varsity athletes in our freshman (first year) year of high school. Playing up higher would really benefit this kid in the long run

Ya but again your brothers were like 2 feet taller then most probably unlike this kid he isn't much taller or anything then the kids he was told he couldn't play against all because parents are afraid to let their kids play any thing or do anything and or don't make them do anything
I can say it helped me when playing bball however rugby is a different sport (in terms of physical contact) theres a big difference from highschool to adults. It could help him, most times ive seen it (coming from NZ and Aus) players who go up too fast usually get injured.

He’s doing really well with it and I’m happy for him but it’s such a shame, knowing that he could’ve been playing for the Welsh squad right now. he was such an amazing rugby player
Running over kids half your size is not talent. I'd say let him play with a age group one year older than him, it's better and safer for the other kids and he will have a bit of a tougher time which will lead to h8m actually becoming a good rugby player and not just relying on his growth spurt to help h8m hurt other kids.
Heartbreaking a young man with talent and passion for sport gets shut down due to blessed genetics. My 14 year old is 6ft1 and loves basketball, told he was to built to play in under 16s😢
If I was that big playing against 3rd graders I wouldn't want to play with you. I would ask to be placed with the older kids you get better practice that way. In fact that's usually how it worked. You'd see this one big dude with the bigger kids saying never seen him before well turns out big dude is 9 play with 13 year Olds idk why they want to kill these smaller kids putting them up against this guy that could easily destroy them no challenge. @@TheRealBlaze getting destroyed by a bigger kid accomplishes nothing. You're seeing it from the wrong perspective. It's not about equality because a kid their own size can be better than them. One the smaller kids learn nothing just that size matters which is already a known thing that's why they have age groups and weight classes in combat sports. The bigger kid learns nothing and is never challenged meaning he's wasting his time. Your view of equality = same size is wrong. If that were the case then any boxer that weighs 147lbs should be able to beat Floyd Mayweather but that's not how it works. There are skill gaps size isn't skill it's just size. Size allows you to overpower skill which is why you don't see Francis Ngannou 265lbs fighting against Demetrius Johnson 135lbs.

Can’t just change shit up for them and start discriminating against other players like this….
I was literally talking about this with my wife and mother in law yesterday , our son is only 9 months old but he’s almost as big as a 2 year old and I’m worried that as he grows up that he will get treated older or be discriminated against because of his skin color and size . I see it all the time and I even dealt with it myself when I was younger because I was bigger than most kids , say my friends deal with it because we were all huge black kids . It’s like everyone forgets you’re just a kid when you’re that big and don’t realize how easily you can still be hurt on the inside because you look tough and strong on the outside .
Mate I feel ya as a kid that was twice the size of me teammates, but fuck if he ever goes one of those smaller kids he could do irreversible damage to them. Id know I had my teeth knocked and a truamatic brain injury from a rugby accident.
