I love this video! I have restored and Driven vintage Alfa's for 34 years, and driven and raced GTV6's as Heavy Metal Alfa. Driven them nearly a million miles, seriously, and they are my life. The GTV6 is an amazing car, every time you Drive it is a blast! I had had 80 or so of them, and Many GTV's and Spiders, Milanos, Alfetta's, 164's. But GTV6 is the most amazing Sports Car experience that you can get for under $100K.

About that heel and toe on the spider. I had a 1969 ALFA spider and the gas pedal IS adjustable. Look under the gas pedal and you will see a round stop pad, you can screw that in or out to adjust the height. After that you just adjust the throttle cable stop to allow the full range of throttle position making sure that at full throttle the cable still has a tiny amount of slack. I am 6' and that yields an excellent heel and toe setup. By the way I bought that car new and kept it for over 40 years but sold it to make garage space for my 20154C Launch Edition also bought new. If I had the garage space I would have both cars. Love the 4C....with some minor mods it is a real track terror.

@@TrackAttackCanada Thanks....comes from 50 years of ALFA ownership...both street and SCCA road race. And yes....I have owned many other brands....GM, Ford, Chrysler, German, English, Japanese. There is something about an ALFA that goes beyond a car being just an "appliance".

It was truly an amazing experience having an opportunity to drive it on the track. Very surprising how "modern" it felt given the period it was built!

Excellent video....! I agree that there was a period when ALFA's had issues with reliability....but in the time frame between when the GTV, Spider were made and the reintroduction of ALFA to the US. They are pretty good now. I know the first Giulia Quads had some electronic glitches but many new cars have the same issues. Those first issues were fixed with flashes to the computers under normal service. That is why I buy cars after they have been out for a couple of years. Can't speak about the Giulia or Stelvio as I don't own one but many friends do and they love them and haven't found them any more problematic than other brands. I am a Super Moderator on the ALFA 4C Forum with over 6000 members. I have a 2015 4C Launch Edition bought new. The 4C overall have proven to be pretty much bullet proof and reliable. In several surveys of large samples in multiple countries of all cars the 4C is near the top in owner satisfaction and reliability...generally Toyota and Lexus will get top billing but the 4C is running around 4th place and beats out Honda by one place in a couple of those surveys. The German and UK brands fall far down the list. There were no recalls in the US. Many members track them and they are dead reliable on track with no overheating issues as many other cars are plagued with when they go into limp mode after 3 laps or so. The factory alignment is fine on track but many find that for everyday driving adding a bit more caster will help with any tramlining or nervousness The stock P Zero tires are not a good match in my opinion...they emphasize tramming. The car was designed more than 10 years ago and while the spec'd tires were fine for the day, many newer tires make a big difference in ride and handling on the car. Guess it was a matter of Italian car/Italian tires;-) I tell people that a 4C is completely impractical for anything except putting one hell of a smile on your face when driving it. With the new push towards EVs and less with IC engines, the existence of such a raw drivers cars is pretty much coming to an end. If you haven't driven one...I suggest you do so but not on the freeway. Take them on a twisty road or in the mountains.....I guarantee you will be smitten with ALFA love. I would invite any owner of a 4C or potential owner to join the 4C Forum. Lots of good friendly advice and tips and tricks. I go by RKBerta there.

Thanks Robert ... agreed, all cars have their problems but Alfa just seems to have developed a stigma for poor reliability. If you just want to get in and drive then an Alfa is probably not the best fit ... but if you want a "relationship" with your car ... then it might be :)

The video is nice but the information is soooo wrong... Did you read anything about Alfa Romeo before speaking! Ferrari did NOT start Alfa Romeo Racing division. Alfa Romeo was already the champions of the day and started winning the 2nd year Nicoli bought them, which was in 1910! Not 1915. So Ferrari and everybody else wanted to be part of the winning franchise after he was fired by FIAT. God damn! And why do you have that Spider on the Track, it never was a Track Car, its a car of style. And that is Just a GTV! Not a Giulia! 💛 The Silver one is a GTV6! Alfisti.mn.co
