Don’t change your answer! One of the captains asked me about my FTO stealing a candy bar and if I would report him and I said “yes he is supposed to be teaching me the correct way and if he’s doing that, what else is he doing?” And he raised his voice and said SO YOULL RUIN THIS GUYS CAREER OVER A CANDY BAR!? And I said sir we are held to a higher standard and right is right and wrong is wrong and then he smiled and said “thank you”. Stick to your answers. The hardest part is the waiting to find out if you passed after the fact not the actual interview.
This is clearly an attempt to invite ego stroking. You obviously have self-esteem issues and you need to seek therapy. Being a compulsive liar in the RU-vid section of police videos is not making you appear like a good candidate. This story is clearly fabricated, and you need to stop
I just got an email from HRPS today saying I didn't make it to the interview stage and should reapply in a year... and this pops up as a recommended video lol thank you for great content! I hope I can get to an interview stage next time and utilize this video.
Did you pass the fitness stage? I passed that and now I'm waiting to be called in for the LFI but I'm scared the same thing that happened to you can happen to me
@@Ty-sy5si I went for the LFI but got deferred and the reason was “not enough life experience” now I’m in the process for peel police and might actually get in, halton is very strict and they want a lot of experience. You might have a better chance of becoming a police officer if you apply for Toronto
Hey, appreciate the video. I’m preparing physically to apply for law enforcement. Very thankful to for some preparation for what’s ahead if I’m lucky. Stay safe guys.
@@abe310 i practiced so many different questions but they only asked "tell me about yourself." The rest were scenario questions so i was thrown off guard 😂. I passed everything and I'm in backgrounds right now!
How would you answer this question that I got… “An emergency situation arose. The police chief made a quick decision and asked you to do something that was not within policy and procedures. How would you handle this situation?”
I also want to work for the government, but my English is bad. Tell me where I could get to work for them with minimal English? But I have an American passport.
One glaring flaw “I want everyone to come through that door to succeed” = There’s a limited amount of vacancies. Meaning, someone’s tie is better… someone who’s voiced cracked once or didn’t give someone a dirty look = Doesn’t proceed, good luck next year because you’re definitely not moving on. Sad Truth is, some people make GREAT First impressions… then the more you know them, see how they really work and end up being a mistake = Generally how Psychopaths get ahead in lifeS While most of us make bad first impressions… only to develop a greater impression over time. Meaning interview process is shallow and details can easily be missed. There’s a reason why corruption is so high in Policing.
I would not say they are all corrupt, but acknowledging the applicants can be really excited and nervous and then deferring them because of giving an answer/answers thats not in the way expected ( because of being excited and nervous) is nonsense.... also honesty and integrity are big time in policing but they are NOT always giving you the reason when you are deferred or terminated.... what happened to integrity and honesty??? oooops lol
minute 41:00 you are wrong an INTERVIEW is not an INTERROGATION. Interviews are meant to show what the person is about. You are mixing the two and i hate that.
How do I get a good reference from my place of employment if I’m still currently working there until I get hired as a deputy. I’ve been here for 15 years and I have never been late or wrote up or anything. It’s such a good background reference for my employer but I’m still here so how do I go about that on my application. Anyone please help
