112k Ridge Bashing - Slovenia Out and Return 

This flight was the day before the Naviter Open 22 competition started and allowed me to familiarise myself with the area before going into the comp.
I took off from Kobala just outside Tolmin, Slovenia which gets sun from early morning though to the evening. You get get to the launch by either hiking from Tolmin, or getting a shuttle bus from the camp site Camping Gabrje (www.camp-gabrje.com) you pay for a ride at reception.
I took off with 4 other friends from launch and used the thermals to get up high above the Julian Alps and head East crossing the Slovenia border towards Gemona, Italy. Once in Gemona we would return along the same ridge but take slightly different route once back in Slovenia heading past the Krn mountain (2244m). We would then head into the higher mountain towards the North to a turn point at Vogel (1922m), and finally flying closing the flight back over the launch, landing at Camping Gabrje
