It was very confusing to me too, but you have to spend the tickets in order to get the other tickets to get the players. So buy the 100 tickets stuff and you will get there faster.

Yo QJB it's not a glitch, spend the tickets on a prize and then whenever you spend them, it adds to your total tickets to get the masters. So say you spend 30, it will add 30 out of 2000 tickets.
