If you saw my previous video #114 - I did not like the result of those tiles so I scraped them. I started over and I am so happy I did. I love these soooo much better!

Lovely been making these there fun been using metallics different designs. I rotate the tiles as there made there easy to pick up. That way I'm not trying to move around and yes less paint is better. Sept babies Yes indeed haha not telling my age older than you forsure 😊 ❤️ my oldest granddaughter will graduate soon then I have a 1yr old granddaughter youngest 5 total

I will. And about your birthday. We'll let me just say that just turned 61 on the 23rd of August, and one thing I have learned in 61 years, is never guess a lady's age or what she is thinking. Odds are, you'll lose. Notice I said "lose", not "you'll guess wrong". For when deal with ladies, it's best to choose your words wisely. And besides, a real gentleman would never tread on affronting ground.

i seal them with Resin - and yes, you can put a hot coffee mug on it.. Juno is always jealous

Do you still like/use self-adhesive cork for the bottoms of your coasters? If not, what else would you suggest. I worry about the cork getting wet when the drink sweats and water drips on the cork.

Thanks Carroll - if your coloured paints are sinking then your white is too thick. Make sure you are mixing your white with the same ratios as your colours

Have you ever sealed with Polycrylic? That is what I seal the canvases with.

if you dont mind me asking, how much do you charge for your coasters at the art show? Also do you find that the art resin is durable enough? It does not stick to hot mugs?

At the shows I charge $30 for a set of 4. I have never had issues with cups or mugs sticking to the resin

I'm going to say you're 34. Wish I was still, although not in the same situation. I much prefer these coasters to the previous ones and I can't wait to see the autumn colour ones. Do you coat them with a heat resistant finish?

@@KanellaCiracoArt You bet I will! Thanks for the tip. Did my first two resin canvases coatings this afternoon. First one didn't go well, second was better. I made some rookie errors and both will need a second coat but I think that will save them. Then I can bite the bullet and cover my best pour. I really want to work with this - if I can afford the mortgage repayments! :-D

if you are in canada I buy (bought) them from Rona.. they have been discontinued since the summer though... so I stocked up and bought 14 cases LOL

I think maybe your turning 33.You look much younger then that though. Love the new blue coasters too. I just have a one question for you.. Do you ever find yourself regretting scraping off the paint once you've decided that you didn't like it? I only ask because I have found myself regretting it sometimes. I'm like darn now why did I go and do that.

Yes - I regretted it once (on video #97) I wish I hadn't have done that. Otherwise I am good with my scraping choices lol I have learned though to sit back and look at it half our later or so... and if I still don't like it, then scrape (unless I am recording a video - then I can't wait 30 min) hahahah here's some advice... take a picture of your piece... if you end up scraping it after - you can go back and look at it a day or so later... that will help you determine if you did the right thing or if you screwed up LOL
