true, but surprisingly, Universal gets their game from a third party company, but the ones running the arcade usually do the repairs

Thats not as easy these days in glasgow not that many arcades as there used to be which is sad treasure island was a good arcade back in the 90's and most arcades have fruit machines as to pinball !!!!

I noticed no differences in lighting levels in this version.

This is usually the flipper coil stop. If it is peened or needs replacement this happens. It can happen on new games as well, if the flipper assembly needs adjustment.

Possibly when we get some different stuff...nothing in near future....

Hi Gordon! We did get the box...didn't open it (as I like to film the opening), but assumed it was coffee from the smell....Opening it today on camera, as part of the Star Trek "before" shots! I wanted to surprise you! I hope to get a video up today...but it may be tomorrow!

I am not actually sure...the left flipper buzzes on this machine...but with glass on, it really can't be heard.

SOmetimes we dont catch stuff...until after the game is long gone...can cannot refilm...if this was broadcast and seen by millions, we would try to keep the production values much higher...just no time ....

I do not care for black rubber either...white rubber makes the game look cleaner!

they seem to have more bounce too. only issue with white, is they can discolor and get dirty. easy to change tho. they do make the game look nicer.

Sadly, the knocker coil is gone forever on the Stern games. It would be neat if they had an extra transistor for someone who wanted to wire in one and turn off the sound!

Well, it IS a limited production piece..and they seem to hold their value very well...I guess its really what the person wants...if they think its worth the extra loot!

+TNT Amusements Inc There is nothing limited about this "Vault Edition". Value in the long term is too early to determine. The originals have held relatively steady, if care for overall. Stern will keep making this machine for as long as they have orders, playfields left over, or they decide to stop. They will rerun it again, if they was enough interest, which there is the rub. That is not how this industry works now, and you know that after 40+ years involved. The "rack" number showed around 530+ based on the initial run of playfields. Spiderman "Black" would qualify as an accurate limited game with a REAL backglass. I have not market priced them lately when they appear, but they are roughly about the same as this version NIB. The VE does play well (as did the original), so I Stern credit for the tweaks, but it really should since it is a nine+ year old Steve Ritchie game design. Stern needs to start getting creative. PBR remake on WNBJM, is another step in wrong direction.

There was demand for more games apparently...reissues are not a bad thing! Especially adding so much more. There were three runs of SImpsons Pinball Party and these machines sell for alot more than they were brand new!
