Nice job showing how it’s done. Like you said ones you’ve done a bunch it’s easy. I assemble the arm on my cart, then just mark out one hole for the body and the one for the shoe, hold up the body then giver with the self tapping screws. I’m a carpenter also, doing high rise at the moment
hold on, @2:07 you just marked 9 1/8" not 9 1/16" . unless you held the hook end of your tape at 1/16". I thought i was imagining it but i went back and froze the video.
Hi Suzanne. Yes, It will be more controlled with a door closer on the door. It will allow the door to be controlled hydraulically and help prevent the wind from slamming the door. There are some limitations, as a strong wind can still grab the door and prevent it from closing in certain conditions. Would also recommend a door stop when using a door closer to prevent the door from opening too far if grabbed by the wind and damaging both the door and door closer.
