A sink is basically a bowl with a hole in. However, to make it functional as a sink there are a few things you have to consider.
It is the first time I try to make a bathroom sink. Please join me on this journey.
I will talk about what clay to use, how to design the ceramic sink, how to throw this stoneware sink and how to cut the hole for the drainage.

I hope you feel all better soon. Your friend obviously has good taste, and the good sense to have you make a purposeful sink bowl. My friend renovated her bathroom, found a beautiful bowl, had it made into a sink, and it doesn't fully drain, because it started out life as a bowl, lol Looking forward to seeing the rest of this journey. I had to laugh, because you are saying, "I'd rather have it too small than too big", then a few moments later, "I'd rather have it too big than too small"... pretty sure that means you'd like to have it perfect. Take care, get well.

Like you, I learned to switch wheel direction depending on if I'm trimming on the inside or outside of a pot. So I don't have to switch hands. Especially on delicate work like a gallery on a jar. That trick was a real game changer for me. Love your videos. Thank you.

Thanks :-) I am actually almost as good with my left as my right hand. So I don't switch much. But sometimes I do. Nice to have the option when needed
