Great video. As a fan of the Control+ fan I found this very interesting. I'd love to try the Kevlar version just to see what the difference feels like in hand. I came from the DBD, to the Control+, and spent most of the last few weeks with the Apollo, before going back to the Control+. I really liked the Apollo, but there was somethings I missed from my Control+ and feel like that time with the Apollo helped my dial in certain parts of my game that have now made me love the Control+ even more than I originally did. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Pickln Alecto (both the All-kevlar BLUE one and the Kevlar/Carbon GREEN one.) Also, looking forward to you possibly reviewing all 3 11six24 Monarchs.
Hello, i think Plush vs Muted needs to be defined. I don't think they are the same. Muted to me is the connection to the ball, feedback of every shot. The opposite of muted is crisp. Plush is the feeling of dwell time on the face of the paddle. Opposite of plush is firm. Something like DBD is both crisp and firm. Ruby is plush but also crisp. Neonic Flow is plushy and very muted. The Ronbuses (Pulsar/R16) tend to be on the plushier side and somewhat in the middle for crisp/muted. J2K is also like the Ruby as it is plush and crisp. So is this HxC really muted or plush? (I'm asking because I'm considering Ruby, J2K or HxC as my next paddle) I think I'm going to choose the whippier paddle of this bunch if plush and crisp and rpms are similar on these paddles. (I like flicks and roll shots) So the Ruby over the J2K right now, but I don't know how HxC plays.
My new j2k with under 20 games usage snapped at mid handle. Let's see how honolulu reacts. I've used mostly Engage paddles since 2016 with only the edge guard coming loose on a couple. Engage was very responsive to correct the problem on one low use paddle. Super glue fixed the other one that was a couple years old.
Yikes. Please let us know how Honolulu responds. I've probably played my j2k about 40 games so far without any issues but I would be interested in your experience with their customer service.
