Much like the previous day, hot and humid air was being pulled up from the near continent between high pressure to the east and low pressure to the southwest. This airmass was unstable to surface heating once temperatures reached high enough to break through a cap. Thunderstorms were expected to develop and then explode into life from near London up through the East Midlands and then push slowly westwards.
It looked as though the central spine of the country was most susceptible to storms with a zone of converging winds likely to aid lift. With this knowledge I headed towards where I believed was at a higher risk of storms.
