Expanded range for in-person raid pass usage + 1st party LFG built into the game + sending out in-game notifications for local raid lobbies filling up could be HUGE for improving local raids. Or just un-nerf remote raid passes lol
when my daughter and i play, we do talk about ideas for the game.... her idea - if your pokemon is at best buddy level or at a good level. it should be able to find Zigard cell when doing a route. my idea - events (com day, hatch day, etc) should be split into 2 time frames, morning and evening (ex: 10am- 1pm and 5pm -8pm)
My idea stems from the fact that people work, kids have school and other activities. Not that we wouldn’t plan around the 2 timeframes, but it gives everyone a chance to enjoy the 3 hrs…
The #1 update they could do in my opinion would be to add remote trading. Even if they capped it at 1 a day I'd be okay with it, I just want to trade with my friends that live in other places
Mass opening and sending gifts and being able to get more than 1 field research per day from a stop are some of the things I want. Especially because they keep doing field research days and I don't have that many stops in my town
I think a good idea for raids improvement for a lesser populated place.... During the egg phase of the raid as the timer counts down people should be allow to tick a box stating that they will be raiding when it spawns.... so people would be able to see how many raiders there are before leaving their house and wasting time to see no one near for the whole raid What do yall think
While campfire dose do that, having it in game would be much more useful than having to go back and forth between apps. I can see this working as a check mark appearing over the gym and opening it to view the raid eggs shows you how many people have selected the option.
Gym progress - Tell me how many points I need to turn the gym gold, not a bar graph. Gold Gym Medal - Give people an incentive to grind the gym. Level = Animation speedup. The higher level you are, the faster the animation. Quick Catch - There was a month where the Android app would let you just use the back arrow to quick Catch vs. That funky slide throw tap move. It was glorious.
An idea for improving rural play, would be a personal poke stop, maybe earned at a higher level. These can be placed one time (maybe moved once a year) and not within 50 or so meters from another stop. The stops would have a privacy setting, Public (anyone can see it), Private (only friends can see it) or Personal (only seen by owner in case they don't want to advertise location publicly.) I think it could really help rural villages where a couple of trainers could co-ordinate their stops on a route or general area. And as an add on, once the trainer hits level 50, they could power up their stop to a gym.
that is just a dumb idea, a Pokestop/Gym is supposed to be a PoI, not something that you earn for spamming friendship levels with lucky eggs, coming from an 800 million exp player
I feel like if you're going to call something dumb, come with an alternative. Otherwise, just don't waste time commenting. Especially from an 800m xp player, that's embarrassing and doesn't help your case to build a better game. I have been dipping in and out of PoGo since 2016, and this game is dog. There is so much wrong with it, but I keep playing. I have been constructing a list of my own improvements while holding my tongue. I will probably share them later on. In response to DemandMore, first of all, yes, people should absolutely demand more from the highest grossing franchise in the world. A personal Pokestop is a bit nuts. Though, I think at Level 50, there should be a similar function: where players that have put in time can make improvements where they see flaws. I'm not sure how Nominating Pokestops works, I feel like that has the community voting for stops which solves this issue partially. However, I think you're negotiating a Pokestop for a village that hasn't much of the PoGo community. In which case, I feel like a level 50 should have the ability to summon a Phantom Stop (or whatever you wanna call it) which does spin but doesn't give items. This stops from players putting it beside their house for a profit. The Phantom Stop will then be posted on Nominate Pokestop, or whatever they use for new Stops. As the planter of the Phantom Stop, you can give your reasoning in a note that appears on the Nomination page. Players from outside of your village can see it and cast an extra vote for Phantom Stops. This feature of Phantom stops would be beneficial for players out in the wops, playing in deserts or for hikes up remote mountains. That is only the beginning of a concept, however, and I feel like I am talking to the moon. Niantic doesn't care. Pokemon doesn't care. Nintendo doesn't care. Who cares most about products are consumers, and consumers will not be listened to until there is a serious threat against a company.
i feel like having a feature that allows you to delete eggs that you dont want would be amazing. and it even could be like a incubator that instead of incubating eggs it would delete them.
Definitely agree about the gym leaderboard, but I don't think that it should reset every weak. Some ideas for leaderboards: Team leaderboard - Which team has controlled the gym most. (Nowadays teams dont really matter to much) Defending leaderboard - Which individual player has defended the most Battle leaderboard - Who has battled the most. Berry leaderboard - Who has given the most berries to pokemon defending this gym. Overall leaderboard - Who has the most gym xp (or whatever it's called) (Potentially shout out for the creater of the gym, just like with routes) I dont think this should be to hard since they already have this data on your gym badges and it would be way more fun and interactive 😊
The fact that there's no way to skip the evolution screen is crazy to me. I feel like there should be a setting that let's you toggle it off. Or maybe make it so that after it's registered in the dex you can skip it. No, I don't wanna see my 900th Pidgey evolve.
There should be a system where, when you’re lucky friends with someone, you can select 3 Pokémon that you’re willing to trade and then whenever the other person logs on, they can put up their 3 Pokémon and select the one of your 3 that they want and then each person confirms.
That's my idea for the global trade system too. I'd even take it if they limited it to mirror trades. Sure, I'd love to offer Boufallant to all of my global friends and get Klefki, Siglyph, etc. in return, but I'd be equally happy with a lucky Snorlax from Japan or Mewtwo from Brazil.
I feel like there should be more ways to get pokecoins like getting them through a daily quest, field research breakthroughs, and go battle league rewards
I think the free remote raid pass would definitely be the best feature seeming as raids are required for lots of research tasks also and this would help out remote players
I don't think so, I think they should bump the shiny rate up a bit and you know have the overworld shinies, it also brings the excitement too see them spawn. Like in scarlet and violet
Here's some ideas: 1. (not my idea) Transferring/deleting eggs you don't want, useful if you've hatched plenty of the current egg pool for any given tier (Probably never going to happen, Niantic loves all the cash from people constantly buying Incubators so they don't get backlogged on eggs). 2. We haven't had a new Berry in years, of the three kinds we have, we still need an upgraded Nanab Berry. Perhaps a Silver Nanab that both slightly increases capture chance while immobilizing the Pokemon? 3. Annual reruns of or a shop where people can purchase tickets for Special Research quests they have missed over the course of the game's life. I hate how bad the FOMO is for this game. 4. Getting exp credit for every Nice/Great/Excellent throw you land on a Pokemon encounter, not just the one the Pokemon gets captured on
Include a visual way, to see who has done all five of their remote raid; by having some kind of red dot within the selecting option, rather then showing after you've already selected your choices. Having a Green Dot within the selective options, for those online and available/whants to. And maybe a Yellow Dot for being online, not wanting to raid [or being selective]. Or maybe just want to trade (if any Global option happens). To add on, if there was some in game chat, [that in my opinion needs to have preset words, to ensure that it's just simple, and translatable; things like 'available for a raid' 'available for a trade' ,'available to...' 'yes' 'no' 'hold on' 'on the way'] So you as the player is not wasting time trying to make a party with a timer over your head, and knowing ahead of time makes using campfire easier, on the long run.
I do think there should be an Evolve All option. You can transfer multiple Pokemon at the same time so why not evolve multiple at the same time, so say for example you have 120 Caterpie candy you then highlight 10 Caterpie click Evolve All & it shows one evolution scene & it evolve all highlighted Pokemon at the same time giving you 1000 per Pokemon that evolved. It would be handy for something like spotlight hour when it's double xp for evolving as you'd be able to evolve a lot more Pokemon during that hour & gain more xp
They should add like a safari zone that you buy. Basically it has a very small chance to spawn in a regional Pokémon aka: Comefy, Heracross, pachirisu and others.
Features Wishlist: Pokemon Tracker-- In the same way that the game automatically prioritizes Pokemon that you've never caught and are silhouettes, I want to be able to tell the game to prioritize Pokemon that I have already caught, either because I need the candy or the Pokemon is rare. Maybe at a certain level you can select the Pokemon you want to be alerted about, maybe your Team Leader could pop up or even give us a long quest line to unlock the feature. It will encourage exercise by motivating people to get out and walk for the things they want. Bottle Cap-- Some kind of long quest line where you choose a Pokemon and do the quests ultimately resulting in a +1 stat increase, maybe unlocked as an option after a Pokemon becomes a best buddy. Pokemon Camp-- Just like in Sword and Shield, I'd love a camp to have a place to interact more with my Pokemon and--even better--to see them interact with each other. I'd love some mini-games to be able to play to potentially boost friendship or unlock other bonuses. More Ribbons-- I love ribbons/marks/titles in the mainline. Would love to see more than just the Best Buddy ribbon in Go. Quality of Life Requests: -Ability to remote raid at gyms where you have a defender regardless of distance -If you’re close enough to put a lure on a stop, you should be able to see and catch the Pokemon that spawn because of the lure -Feeding berries in a gym should count as feeding berries to a Pokemon for field research -A way to trade with our lucky friends that are long distances away. Even if it's one "extra" special distance trade a month or an event bonus. -Let us choose which Pokemon to rescue from the Team Rocket Grunt's line-up. I got three 100-IV Totodiles (after purification) while looking for one 100-IV Mudkip. It would be less frustrating and encourage more participation if we had more of a choice in the process -Replace any "Earn a Candy walking with your buddy" with " Walk X amount with your buddy"
I think for the gym system a rework could be that instead of the pokemon getting knocked out to get your coins that maybe after it gets to midnight you get the coins it has collected up until that point up until 50 coins a day and you get them daily until the pokemon get knocked our rather than having to wait until your pokemon does end up getting knocked out to get 50 coins
I think for the item gifting, it’s true that players will just make a second account and gift themselves items, but they could make it so you can only gift items if you’re best friends. Or maybe implement a lucky friend system but with items.
I agree with all the PvP ideas, being PvP is why I play. Also, gym rework would be sick, maybe the first defender has a team of 3 and it's a mini PvP battle..? The rest only have one, but you fight the first defender last, being the "boss battle" limit it to types, like the badges in main series.
A feature that I thought some time now is: when you have more than 2.000 candy's of a pokemon completely useless, to take some candy of this pokemon and 'change it to super candy or change it dirrectly to another candy pokemon', because I have more than 3.000 candy of Hoppip, and I really need for other pokemons their candy's. I thought of separating the normal pokemons and the legendary/fabulous pokemons, like normal candy to another normal candy, and a legendary/fabulous candy to another legendary/fabulous candy. That was my idea
A solution to the item gifting would be that you can only gift items when you reach a certain friendship level. That way you cant just create a few accounts und level up to lvl 20 or so to gift yourself some items.
I like that idea. Also perhaps make it available only above a certain level - 10? 15? - and possibly also make it a trade feature that requires the exchange of items with roughly equivalent value in Pokecoins in the shop.
They should also add another team so that there are 4 teams. They should also add the manager in team go rocket and to battle with the manager, u need to defeat team leaders 6 times
What if instead of a free remote raid pass there was a daily quest line. For example catch 50 Pokémon, hatch 1 egg and hit 10 excellent throws. This way people won't just log on once a day to do a raid and log off ( niantic also gets their location info) it rewards 15-30 mins of playing and being rewarded with a remote raid pass. Edit: it also works as a ripple effect because if more people have remote passes then they need raids to join and then people will go out to in-person ones and invite them so it creates more people to invite aswell
I feel like having the ability to invite a team of npc trainers to a raid would help people in small rural areas. Even if it's once a week people could have a chance at legendaries and megas
Personally I think that they should give pokecoins for battling gyms up to a certain amount per day because there is almost no point to defeat a gym unless you want to put in your pokemon
Here's a few ideas I have. 1) Item trading like trading extra potions and/or insences for poke balls and vice-versa. 2) The option to evovle Pokemon with XL candies, like 1 XL to get Charizard or 4 XLs to get Gyarados. But after they've been registered into your Pokedex. 3) The option to revert XL candies back into regular candies. 4) Convert all the Johto evolution items into the Johto Stone. 5) New evolution items like a Kalos Stone, Alola Stone, Galar Stone, Paldea Stone, etc., which the latter 3 can be used to obtain regional variant evolutions.
To add on your share items with friends idea: they should release friend balls. and you get them while playing in partys with friends. and those pokeballs you can give to any of your friends whenever.
Make gold gyms only use regular raid passes - If you can see the gym on the over world map, and you have it gold, you can raid it with a regular pass. - Invited to a raid to a gym you have gold? Regular pass. - Have a Pokemon in a gym that has a raid? Regular pass. This might help swing the pendulum back to help trainers and Niantic getting cash.
I am really surprised you didn't mention a way to increase a Pokemon's IVs. That is easily the most wanted feature by players ever. And it already exists in the main series games.
EVs, I think, are able to be altered. IVs are things your Pikmin are born with. Sometimes you get the Einstein, sometimes you get the Little Einstein. Altering IVs sounds dangerous and would probably kill most playtime of the game. Companies want to take your time and munny. Imagine if you just bought a $2 boost to get a "perfect IV". You will earn a lot in the short while, but you will lose your audience in the long run. But, your idea did cause me to think of a short-time boost. To roid your Pokemon to "perfect IVs" for only 1 or 3 battles. This will not count as a 4* in your player stats but it could allow for you to win a few battles. Which kinda encourages online play, battling with friends (you can pick the "same team" and see whose is better), but also doesn't discourage from collecting.
May seem really strange but I feel like shadow raids should be invitable for town that barely have people playing Pokémon go and make the timer for 5 star raids longer
I'd also like to see a daily counter for trading and opening gifts. I'd like to see bk in the game that when you are in a gym and it says there is a raid on it you could c what the raid was and how long it had left on it like it used to.
I’ve always thought it would be cool if they added another super rare field research from spinning stops like the ones to catch spinda. But the new research should be to catch a shiny Pokémon then the reward is a shiny Pokémon
I would love an style button for pokemon to change their costumes. We all have rare costumed pokemon that we never use because their iv's suck. Let us unlock costumes for pokemon by catching them with that costume and then we can trick out our pokemon that we use in pvp with whatever costume we want. They could even open an costumeshop that way and earn our money.
#1 Remote trading with a way to message trainers in game would be the best update!! I have lucky friends I never see #2 Since it's looking like all the time research are going to have a pay wall, make a system to where if the research is not completed give some poke coins back to players or something along them lines. #3 Remote Raid Limit increase to at least 10 a day or more events with limitless remote raids
Many of your suggestions could be added to the raid lobby. Imagine sitting in the lobby and being able to interact. Your friend could revive and heal your Pokémon. Perhaps even activate a lucky egg or star piece for you. And you could do trades. This would limit remote trade to remote raid passes. So a free limit to make Niantic happy. They could also add limits on how many Pokémon you can bring to a lobby per day. Would I pay 200 coins for a remote trade (and raid)? Perhaps not, but if we get a free remote pass daily/weekly - count me in!
There was a feature for a while earlier this year (or last year, who knows) that allowed you to spin pokestops even when your item bag was full. It was really handy to get new tasks without constantly having to remove items. I don't know if it was just to test the feature but it was definitely a QOL improvement. Sad it didn't last for long.
I remember at one point they actually allowed you to still spin stops for field research tasks even if your item bag was full but for whatever reason they took that away
It's still there, go into Advanced Settings, you'll find "Open Gifts when Item Bag is Full" option to turn on or off. Enabled and you can still spin to get stardust from stops when item bag full.
@TheKeithEllis yeah that's for gifts but not pokestops I mean I never really have the issue with my item bag being full because I have way too many pinaps (almost 2000) so whenever I get close to full I just delete those but my mom is always getting the item bag full thing
The only real issue I believe discourages players from playing or leaving the game entirely The lack of pokestops and gyms I’m from LA and the only park with lots of pokestop and gyms is Expo park They should increase pokestops and gyms around major cities Currently I’m grinding to level 47 to request a pokestop near my home My son and I are very devoted into the game
In Warframe new accounts can't trade using the premium currency they get at the beginning of the game. They could easily make it so they can't send over items obtained by leveling up
3 features definitly needed or changed 1 timer on lure modules 2 A regional migration event as many of us cannot travel around the world for certain pokemon 3. Lucky Friends needs sorting as I have my son as a friend since the feature came out and we send gifts to each other every day and never became lucky
I've had a wild thought recently. What would it be like to have a mirror world event. That means all regular pokemon would show in the map as shiny and all shiny would show as regular. I think this would be amazing. Also, a two day world trade event would be enough if they don't really want this as a full time feature.
Can we talk about the fact that the old gym system was actually better. Since for every gym you where in you could cash in 10 coins each day it made being in multiple gyms rewarding
I agree, but I feel like this would attract many creeps. However, I think adding some default text options like "Hey", "Great", "Thanks", etc. could be a good idea. And the default text options get more complex as you level up in friendship. A monitored and censored chat becomes available at Best Friends, since you clearly know this person well at this point. The downside of this would be one deranged Pokemon fan killing someone after grooming them for half a year, which would deter a lot of people from the game altogether - even moreso than the kids that were drowned, hit by cars, etc. when the game released.
My wishlist: 1. Let me help others in raids that I've already done for free for no rewards; it feels bad finishing a raid right when someone pulls up and I can't help them despite having the time, will, and resources to. 2. Make the game look better. The overworld and battle/catch screens are butt ugly. Monster Hunter Now has graphical settings and a much better overworld. 3. Make catching pokemon a much more fluid process. Cut out all the bloat ("Gotcha!" text, slow reward screen, etc.). We shouldn't have to rely on a fast catch glitch to make it a better experience. 4. Add a personal damage breakdown at the end of every raid so I can see how much % damage I did in the fight, which of my pokemon contributed to that damage, and through what moves. 5. Make a rotating spawn or pokemarts at pokestops that allow us to exchange our items for other items (e.g. berries for potions, etc.) and have a rotating stock of goods you can buy out that refreshes every week (e.g. rare candies, etc.) 6. Enhance best friend rewards: allow us to send out an SoS several times a week to BFs so they can remote raid with us for free. Give extra special trades. Allow lucky friend trades to be any distance. 7. Add a very rare item in pokemart stocks that cost a big amount of stardust (1 million or so) that can increase a pokemon's iv by one only one time per pokemon. I want more deterministic ways to help offset bad rng, basically. 8. Make weekly walking rewards better. If you break the 50 km, you should get a free super incubator. The reward fits. 9. Revamp gyms for better rewards. 10. Revamp the combat. Mindlessly tapping the screen in combat is boring. Create more player agency by adding target areas to tap for moves, or tap combos. Enhance the RP to make it seem like me, the trainer, is giving commands to my pokemon.
they should atleast expand character design if not the whole overworld. we've looked the same for seven years and honestly i despise the female avatar her tits are too big 💀
2 things to help learn how to catch 1. Great and excelent circles - Feature that show how large catching circle must be to count as great/excelent. And limiting it to lvl
You know what might be a good feature, if they update the overworld system to more like a map. Works both as convenience and for safety. Just use the game format as any map application (like Google Map)and have the names of the streets on display on the ground while you're walking instead of switching apps or guessing where you need to go. "There is a raid happening in 13th street, and you are in 16th street? No problem, just follow Pokemon Go Map and you won't get lost." "Someone found a rare Pokemon but there are no street signs to give location details? Just look at the newly updated Pokemon Go Map and your friends can run toward that rare spawn."
I want to see some way to affect pokemon stats. Not wholesale edit them or anything, and they could even make it pretty grind-inducing. For example, let's say it is a "machine" that lets you freeze one stat category for a given pokemon you want to alter, and then you pair it with another Pokemon of the exact same species that will be "sacrificed" in the machine. The result would be that the other two categories of stats you didn't freeze would be averaged with the pokemon you paired it with. This could, for example, allow you to take any pokemon you find with zero attack stat and high defense stat, and keep pairing those with one pokemon you are working on for PvP who already has a good HP stat. This would keep lowering the attack stat and increasing the defense stat as that pokemon's stats are averaged with ones who have 2 better settings for the stats you want. This would also allow you to tweak the pokemon such that you could get those good stats PLUS obtain the coveted 1500, or 2500 overall CP.
Yo Mystic! I once thought about a good item for pokemon go, I'd call it the lucky rock. The lucky rock is as rare as the meteorite for rayquaza, everyone gets one or two for free. The lucky rock could be used by a lucky pokemon, this will give them yellow glowing eyes, (Just like how shadow pokemon have red eyes.) and the lucky particals can now be seen during battle. The lucky rock will also add 4 ivs in total. So if you have a 41/45 pokemon, you will get a 45/45 pokemon, no matter the order. But if you have a 40/45 pokemon, you will have 44/45 iv's. I don't really know if you have an impact or a way to contact Niantic about update ideas, but if you like this idea then I sure wouldn't mind you contacting them. Thank you for reading.
A home base like a gym only visible to you. And once a day you can spin for a task, remote raid pass, raid pass, and some selection of balls and berries
They could condense the tags screen, because right now, you can only see 3 of your tags. If they made them the same size as pokemon, you could see a lot more tags without having to scroll down. It'd be like making a folder for apps on the home screen of your phone.
1. Egg release, would clear up how many eggs you have in your bag. 2. Notifications, a message should pop up on the app that tells you that you've been invited to a raid, been sent gifts, eggs have hatched, pokemon is in need of help/kicked outta gym or when events start. I mean it as in like a Notification on your phone, not just the app.
It would make the disparity between people's accounts that much more obvious and possibly annoying however, as a shiny pokemon appearing on one person's account woldn't on nearly anyone else's when hunting with friends.
I think they should add a feature called auto battle. The feature would lit u battle automatically so u can get your stardust without constantly tap on your screen it would make the battle quick and easier
That's way too much, but they do need different moves and methods of play to reduce the feel for something like this. If you can auto-play a game, it clearly ain't worth playing.
Been talking about this with some of friends I play pokemon go with... I would love a Radar Filter...So for example if I want to hunt the newest shiny coming out and go to my local city or park with a bunch of pokestops... Once I catch all the ones shown on the main radar, I should be able to go to the Radar type in said Pokemon and have the radar filter the stops that specific pokemon is close too. They already kind of done with new pokemon you haven't caught yet in the game. This wouldn't make getting shinies easier as they'd still have base odds but it would allow more time for hunting and increasing the encounters.
TBH even if they made remote trading only possible with maxed out friends, banned regionals, and limited it to once a day, I'd still celebrate it and make use of it all the time
I think some other great features would be a type of catch enhancement, meaning if you have a throw ten nice throws task but throw a great throw instead, maybe that great throw could count for two nice throws and an excellent could count for two great throws or three nice throws which would make research tasks and other specific tasks go way quicker. It would also be really cool, especially for shiny hunters, to see how many alolan, hisuian, and galarian variants they’ve seen specifically like if they showed how many alolan meowths or galarian meowths you’ve seen instead of just the total of all meowths seen.
a good update talking in raid like texting so people know what kinds of pokemon to use :) with the daily remote raid maybe not daily like once a week or a month... :/
I have thought about some of these ideas myself while playing Pokemon Go! I seriously do hope that Pokemon Go will one day include some, if not all, of these great ideas! Maybe one day this dream will come true 😌✨
The only reason I don’t grind stardust in GBL is I’m too protective of my winning percentage (and it’s too time consuming). I love the idea of an unranked tier of play though!
With unmatched PvP battles, there are the three leaders you can battle hassle free to just practice or try out new pokemon and their moves. But they always have the same Pokemon for each type of battle, so there’s not much you can do there as well. Still is a good idea though.
