All of them are extremely elegant and beautiful! 😍 I didn't know they existed! When my finances change for betterment I'm making all of them on my list... I also have plans to own my own hotel in the future. I notice they're all east coasts... anyhing on the west coast.
I live directly across the street from Akwaaba, I always direct people there it’s always a fun place to stay at especially when you have folks in town and you run out of room in your home lol
it would take then a year to tech black people the business of running business, so they will stop selling drugs etc. stay out of jail. yeal, hotel to sell undercover, in a few years they close thoses hotels little by little. this is America, and now they bringing more unAmericans to america that gonna need money, yeal, the ukrainians, love my people, but just more drama.
I'm only inspired when they don't let it change them mentally, like turning their noses up at some of their own people, when they know they didn't use to act like that.
My wife and I stayed at the Copper Door B&B before and after a cruise. The hospitality was better than we received at most high end hotels. The breakfast was so good it was ridiculous. Rooms were spotless and we felt like we were the only ones there until going to the lobby where we met others from all over.
I stayed at the Salamander in Virginia for a long weekend. It was amazing! It has equestrian themed decor. Middleburg VA is horse country. They have so much to offer. It was by far, one of The Best places that I’ve stayed. Sheila Johnson did this resort the right way!
Until I can support these places physically I went and followed them on Instagram and Facebook! I look at all they have to offer! Thank you for this information!
I live within a mile of Six Acres Bed and Breakfast in Cincinnati. I’ve never stayed there overnight but I’ve attended birthday celebrations and retirement celebrations there. The grounds are kept up very well. The inside of the house is large and very accommodating. I referred this place for some out of town visitors and they were very pleased with the their accommodations and said they would stay there again. Six Acres is located close to a variety of restaurants. I highly recommended Six Acres if you’re ever in the Cincinnati area.
WOW! i had no idea...I've been smiling and writing the information down while watching this video. I exhaled a sigh of relief knowing that I would be treated with dignity when I visit one of these beautiful resorts & hotels. Thank you😊
If ever in Louisville, KY please stay at the Embassy Suites downtown. A Black business man by the name of Eric Bachelor is co-owner of the hotel and fully owns a high end restaurant on premises called Brendan's Catch 23. I guarantee it's one of the nicest Embassy's you'll ever stay at. It's decorated in such a way that reminds you of a 5 star hotel.
I’ve been to the Salamander Resort, the owner, Shelia Johnson was staying the weekend we stayed. It’s a very beautiful property. Salamander is a VERY expensive resort, the food was great. My only complaint is theirs nothing surrounding the resort, only farmland and Safeway. We went in the winter so the outdoor activities were little to none.
Amazing... As a black brit who lives travelling (Entrepreneurial Travel blogger) and devoted to supporting my peoples around the globe will bank these details for my future travels... As well as passing this info on.
Great video! Have you thought about doing one about Black-Owned Real Estate firms? I'm on a mission to help folks become home owners, real estate is one of the fastest pathways to building wealth 😎
I’ve stayed at the Hilton in Miami and didn’t know this. It’s was a tranquil stay. I actually mused that if I had the funds, I’d live there😊😊 I’ve stayed at Innsbrook in Florida and learned that it was Black owned but had no clue she had other properties. It was a Biltmore type property. It was peaceful and park-like. I want to visit her Virginia property. I grew up in Brooklyn and had no clue about Akwaaba. Looking forward to visiting La Maison. I hope it’s a great visit.
I've been to Roberts Riverwalk here in Detroit. It's close to good food and shopping. H&M, Nike outlet, under armor just to name a few a big upgrade to our city. Nice to see it on the list.
I lived 2 miles from La Maison here in Houston! I've always wondered what it was like in there. I think Im going to make a reservation for 2022! I NEVER imagined, it was black owned. That is truly excellent!
I live in Detroit. That hotel is nice and big and it's also close to the African American History Museum. And they sometimes have pool parties in the summer.
The rich spend money like there poor. The poor will spend money like there rich. Save your money and when the real estate market crashes soon, jump in and gobble up those cheap homes.
I always wanted to travel all the 50 states of America. Moving forward I will only stay African-American Hotels/Resorts. Thank-You so much for the information. I do wish instead of the architect being inspired by Europeans, I would prefer it had African inspiration or at least have both. Black owned,Black inspiration.
I went to the website and the Facebook to look for the list f these places. Can you guys create a repository for all of these businesses and pioneers so we can review it and share ? Thanks ahead of time 😎
This is really awesome and such an uplift to us as a people. I love it all. May God continue to bless you all and give you wisdom and direction in your success. Keep keeping on!
Thanks for sharing this video. I never knew about these black owned businesses. I can't wait to travel again. I will be supporting my black people. I love to see my brothers and sisters doing their thang. #Black Excellence💯👊🏿💪🏿✊🏿🔥
Beautiful properties 😍😍😍 I’m in Baltimore and never heard of the Ivy. I love the inspiration to strive higher ☝🏾 but most black folks in Baltimore can’t afford it. I’d be curious to see the general clientele. Out of town maybe
Nice to know where they are located around the country. I am in PA. The Ivy, in Baltimore. But I would really like to visit Salamander in Va. Oh but also Miami beach's one of the hotels. 🤗
Amazing footage of Black Americans Hotel 🛍️🛏️ and Resort ⛵ I would comply my myself going to these beautiful ❤️🥰😀 places on my next adventure. Thank you for the video 📸☺️
I'm born and raised in New York and never even heard or knew about the 2 hotel/resorts that were mentioned on the list...Damn shame they're not being advertised more.
Omg yes! I'm especially happy that there's a place in New Orleans! All these places look fabulous! I just wish there was a place on the West Coast since I live in California.
I will definitely be considering. I’ve already transferred my investments into a black business ONLY now and doing very well. So this is just adding to it.
Those are beautiful looking places. Some of them seem to truly offer a great vacation destination spot where you can enjoy the hotel, the amenities of the hotel along with the surroundings.
Although I have some thoughts? I will not criticize this list of real surprises! Very grateful that a list like this exists. I hope to get to visit and stay at these establishments someday.
I'm adding these to my list. I usually travel using the NABHOOD (National Association of Black Hotel Owners and Operators) guide - so this is enriching.
+Kenisha Thompson Oh my gosh that's awesome how you use the NABHOOD site to help you navigate. I was actually supposed to have been at the NABHOOD Summit last Summer! The 24th annual meet up.. but pandemic caused me to have to cancel and stay home in Phoenix! Happy travels!
@@kheatherthompson I will try my best to make it to the next Summit. That is, if they are even having one this year! I am still trying to raise funds to prepare for it.
This video is about BLACK EXCELLENCE. Please don’t try to diminish our achievements with your generic terms. We are talking specifically about BLACK owned businesses.
...availability is scarce. Most places were book every weekend well into the new year. I imagine that's a good thing ultimately...hopefully New York won't have these travel restrictions after the new year.
ABSOLUTELY 'killer' narration. Whoever scripted this video did, an out-of-sight job!! Honestly, if it weren't for the fact that the phrase, "Black Owned", was mentioned so many times I wouldn't have known that the video was showcasing black owned, anything. BRAVO, bravo. Very well done, indeed. I will definitely be smashing the "Like" button on this video.
Wow beautiful hotels/resorts, to know they are black owned very inspiring. I want to visit Miami someday and will stay at one of the places you shared.
Can you please do a video on local stores, grocery stores, banks, fine restaurants, and etc. These are good videos, we need to start buying black but again videos like this can give awareness to our culture. Thanx!
