For thai tea, it's original color is a dark orange. Then when you put the milk on top that's how it's a light orange. And the milk also helps settle down all the sugar
@yotakayotaka
@yotakayotaka 5 лет назад
Tsukinocos _ I actually go look at the ingredients showing on Thai tea bottle I have in refrigerator, it has no chemical color or whatsoever color added. It’s just tea and sugar! Just add milk (or soy milk for vegan) and it becomes orange color. Now I can relax and continue drink it.

Thai Iced tea sounds lovely. Has my mouth watering. I’ve had bubble tea before but prefer the jelly base. I also like Po Nee tea and Green Tea. I tried Chrysanthemum tea once and found it refreshing. Some of the drinks you mentioned got my mouth watering.

@Simon P yeah man I love Thai tea, iced or hot. I also prefer the jelly base for bubble tea, or getting a light amount of boba, since IMAO, bubble tea always has too many tapioca pearls. I now prefer milk tea, hot, iced, or as a slush! 😋

Me: I'm lactose intolerant so i actually can't have them The video : ...saltly lemonade/limeade... Me: *thinks for about 5 minutes* im going to try that 15 minutes later Me : WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE
@Kynteli
@Kynteli 5 лет назад
Your lactose intolerance might only be a hindrance in some countries. For example, my lactose intolerant friend is able to eat and drink all milk products made in Japan (her discovery of decent non-vegan chocolate was a joy to watch) even if she can't enjoy any milk products (unless they have specifically been made lactose-free) in her home country. You should look into that, if you haven't already! :3
@Momoyia1000
@Momoyia1000 5 лет назад
I don't know if you have it in your country, but we have lactose pills, like you can take one and drink and eat milk products for two hours.

I think most oolong is made at home right? I have an uncle whose hobby is to make traditional Chinese beverages at home. He was making sweet red tea once, and I tasted some before we put sugar in, and the aroma of good tea brewed at home was so good it didn't need the sugar. He makes dank soy milk as well.

Thai milk tea doesn’t use orange food coloring to make the tea orange, it the tea leaves it self that makes it the color orange. Also it’s bright orange because of when we mix it with milk.

The salty lemonade isn't as popular as before in Vietnam, we prefer Boba. But even back in the day the drink isn't easy to find but if you have grandparents who are from the 40s-60s then you can ask them to make it for you cause they usually pickle some and let it sit there, my grandmother made to me all the time back then, it was so refreshing mostly in the heat

I thought 王老吉 is the most popular drink in China, is it not? It's the tea in a red can.
@Mikyle

It is popular, but interestingly another brand (加多暴)is more popular (at least from what I see), even though 王老吉 is more popular outside of China. I think they used to be one brand though.

Thai ice tea is actually dark chocolate colour until you add condense milk to turn the colour into that orange colour
@yotakayotaka

Ming yes, it has no chemical color added. Just add milk and it becomes orange color.

Actually in thailand thai tea doesn’t consist of food coloring (well some don’t anyway) but it’s actually the intense pigment that the tea is brewed in and the fact the it is strongly brewed makes it orange, trust me I’m thai and I make it all the time.

I lived in London for 20+ years. I can confidently say the slightest unfamiliarity will stop a British from trying out a dish. I once took a friend to a restaurant which had Green Tea ice cream on the menu, his reflex response was why is this 'bizarre' dessert in the menu. My thought was, if you actually go out and broaden your horizons a little more, then you will know Green Tea Ice cream is very common all over Asia. I also remember years ago Sushi wasn't as popular at the time, I was eating some and all these people walking pass thinking, what is this Asian dude doing...eating raw fish...those eyes of ridicule. Now, you see all these Westerners queuing up to buy their box of Sushi at the train station lol
@FujishimaAkiko
@FujishimaAkiko 7 лет назад
I can relate to that! I lived in Sheffield, South Yorkshire for 4 years, and my bloke at the time was very adventurous, but his friends not so much.. lol. When I mentioned an American favourite, "Banana Bread" they couldn't get their mind around the fact that it was more like a cake, than actual bread, and were terrified to try it.. lol! I will never understand why people continue to associate Sushi as meaning raw fish though. Sushi literally means "vinegared rice".. Sashimi (the raw fish) is merely an ingredient that can be added to sushi.. But, Sushi itself is not raw fish. :)

Syed Mohammed Faizuddin I'm Indonesian, and I'm pretty sure that grass jelly and agar-agar are different because it's made from different plant. The texture are kinda similar, but grass jelly is made from the grass jelly plant (in Bahasa Indonesia it's called "cincau") and agar-agar is made from seaweed. :)

I've had Ramune, but Pocari Sweat and Aquarius are super good as well. I've tried both and they are similar, but many if my friends here in the states think Pocari tastes wierd. Another tea that is popular during the summer in Japan is mugicha. Mugicha is a tea that has a slight coffee taste to it. I didn't like it that much but it seemed everywhere I went during the summer, it was there. I recommend trying those three if anyone is interested.

I'm thai and you are wrong on the thai iced tea. The tea is just brewed with crushed tea bits I guess and you put it into a sleeve and then put it into hit water. The tea turns orange when mixed with water and then you add condensed and evaporated milk. There Is only 2 ingredients. You may have tried westernised thai ice tea with food colouring

Every tea? Maybe not matcha and other green teas, but most teas if left to boil long enough you will get a dark amber colour. Add milk and it will turn orange. Thai iced tea is basically sweet iced milk tea. Lactose intolerant? There's also Thai black iced tea, so the same recipe just without milk.
