We leave the Thames for the Kennet and Avon in the dark hours to a place called Theale. There we are welcomed by winged creatures and a series of dreamlike walks. Zephyr discovers how gravity works and that there are some times when pausing and pondering are more appropriate than stick lobbing! Enjoy some mindfulness with us and have a week that brings you joy and happiness! 🌻🦋

Ahh lovely Zephyr if only we had as much energy to give them what they want 😅 beautiful little lady that she is ❤ I was giving my sons doggie, Hugo a cuddle in Sunday after chasing him around the garden and my wife said, ‘that’s nice you are enjoying doggy time’ and it’s the first time I have ever thought just how healing my time with Hugo was. I have been going down on a depressive cycle after about 5 weeks fairly well (have just been diagnosed with bipolar type 2 comorbid with ADHD) but I’m coping as best as I can but just wanted to share how nice it was to have that doggie time. Such beautiful views of amazing insects and bugs … I just often try to think about whatever it is, which is the creative and loving force behind Mother Nature. Take good care of yourselves and love to you all xx❤

I hope you are getting the support that you need and not just being diagnosed and left to cope. Colin from Foxes Afloat has done a lot of videos about mental health and has set up MIND radio station to support others. You might know this already but just in case you don’t, this might be reassuring for you? Take care 🦋🌻

Thank you for the information Vanessa, I haven’t but will see if I can find Foxes Afloat. Thank you again.. yes it’s so hard to get any real practical help. The best one can do is learn as much as one can and also discuss with other like minded people. xx

Such a delightful surprise to see that you ventured onto the Kennet and Avon. It really is delightful. Between Theale and Newbury is great place to do circular walks taking in the canal and river. Thank you for sharing. 😀

I love when you combine the denseness of the city, cinemas, sins of earthly delight and noise then into rural pleasures of tiny creatures and natures fashionable clothing of insects in and on both hedgerow and meadow. You have the best of both worlds. I do know it takes a lot of effort and planning and am grateful you share it all with us. Thank you.

Another beautiful vlog! Thank you for helping me to relax. It was lovely to see so many different butterflies. I love Zephyr, he’s such a personality. As I dabble in watercolours it’s nice to see your lovely art and journaling at the end of each episode too. X

Hello Shirley, I am so pleased that you are relaxing. Painting is also a great way to unwind isn't it? Although, I struggle with paint and am better with pencils, so you'll have to give me some tips! Since moving on board, I have also become a great admirer of moths too. When I was in Oz, I was terrified of meeting a Funnel Web and RedBack and I checked every toilet seat!👀 Really though, since reading Charlotte's Web to my children when they were little, I do love spiders. Take care🌻🦋

@@themindfulnarrowboat LOL its not really that bad Vanessa, well I dont know about the funnel webs Im glad we dont have them in WA. Redbacks are more found in old drains, outhouses (outdoor toilets), under fence caps etc you might get the occasional one inside but you would have to be a pretty bad housekeeper for that to happen...that said I check for huntsmens I hate those, big and hairy and move fast..tend to come in when its going to rain especially if you live in the bush. I will send you that hawk photo I promised by email and I will tell you a little spider story there too

Hello Vanessa - greetings from Poland. Butterflies and creepy crawlies. Lovely! Without them, our eco system would come to a grinding halt. They are a necessity and should be treated with care. The cruise was gorgeous. You have a very clever narrowboat. It appears to steer itself! Do you have a steersman and if you do, do we ever see him? A wonderful video, drawing of a butterfly and poem. My husband and I share the steering and when my children come for a visit, they steer the boat too. Unfortunately, Mr Mindful does not want to be filmed and so it can look like I have a magic boat! Take care🦋🌻

V, Responding to the complaint from a reddit individual about posting spam. I believe that it is just one extremely vengeful person trying to get even. You see, each reddit channel is subject to the rules of the individual subjective moderator and some of those rules are specifically vague. Many people are cool but some have a God complex, a stick up their patoot. The definition of spam? I don’t consider my introduction to your vlog as spam, but some do apparently. I don’t know if you do, but many of the other RU-vid vloggers that I watch do receive negative comments and from what they say, those comments are just deleted and not paid much attention. I BELIEVE THAT IS THE CASE HERE. However, if you want me to stop using Reddit, I will. I’m sorry to use this board to post this but I do not have your private email. But hey, 594 to 781, that’s not too bad. J
