Let’s be real: anything outside the likes of Sauvage, BDC, Eros, Y etc, will always face potential discontinuation. Your average person will have about one or two fragrances in their collection anyway. It’s less likely they’ll be spending on building a collection with variety. Strong, mass appealing, safe scents will always outlive these lesser known fragrances - as nice as they may smell.

The YSL Kouros one mystifies me. It’s been around for decades and can’t see anybody still buying it so why hasn’t it been discontinued already. I have an original bottle and no desire to stock up but I might now? Too animalic to wear nowadays though. Love your videos Ashton!

In stores here in Germany I can still see not only Prada L'Homme Intense, but also Prada Amber pour Homme. Only at retail prices, of course. Oh man and @ 17:10, every time I am reminded that Mugler Cologne got discontinued, a subterranean volcano of anger in me starts bubbling up just like what's happening in Iceland now. PS. Hoping for a Terre de Hermes Elixir

Kouros I think is safe - absolutely no promotional or marketing dollars required, and propped up by a moderate group of older gentleman who will continue to buy it

I work at a major retailer in the US, and today noticed 2 things. Wanted by Night was removed from our website, and priced at $50 in-store. I think that shows a discontinuation coming. On the bright side, Prad Lhomme Leau was in stock, and it was re-added to the website for the first time in over a year, maybe showing some fight from the Lhomme line.

Ultimately companies care sbout profit, if a fragance sells well it will survive. Regarding SWY Intensely and Absolutely, they were officially discontinued, at least according to the Armani store

True. These companies have entered a time period where they could not care less about consumer happiness. They will axe your favorite fragrance without thinking twice about it. In previous years, things were much more stable. Now, they release way too many scents, throw them all at the wall, and see what sticks.

Love MFK's work and hope he does great things at Dior. Having said that, if DHP gets changed up, I'll be even happier with my decision to grab a backup bottle of it. 🙂 It's my favorite designer fragrance ever.

I’ll forever say that Mr. Burberry Indigo is a heavily slept on spicy fresh fragrance. Hard to find nowadays

Gentlemen Boisee is my most complimented fragrance and one of the few that I could easily wear every day. It's very well balanced. It's going to sting if that one gets axed. It has the right amount of iris to me whereas the EDP is on the thick side. A waft of iris with a rich peppery wood underneath it that has gotten several "wow" reactions.

Ash, I have all the fragrances in the Prada L'homme line and I love them all. L'homme L'Eau & Water Splash do have similarities, but they are not the same. I don't find them redundant. Love em.

L'homme intense was supposed to have been discontinued 2 years ago so I bought 4 bottles.A year after you couldn't find it anywhere not even on their Web site but the last 12 months it's seemed to have popped up again but not many places maybe old stock....I'm on the hunt for L'homme Eau De etc but only seem to find it in 50mL

regarding azzaro the licence changed from clarins to loreal clarins had alot of stock so sent it out to discounters loreal decided to bin it due to poor sales

Kurkdjian has started off hot already with the J’Adore L’Or powerhouse remake , I can’t wait to see what he does for men. I got excited about the baccarat Sauvage but quickly deflated when I realized it’s just a new bottle. Also do you think maybe DHP doesn’t sell well because it’s not available here in North America ? I’d like to see DHP , Bleu Électrique and Luminous Night make a reappearance and see if their second tour does better since they pulled the plug on those too soon

Hey Ash... Would be very disappointed it the swy intensely and absolutely got discontinued. Two of my favourite winter fragrances... Profondo is part of my collection and I wear it regularly but not a standout fragrance either... Prada L'Homme I'm surprised that's been mentioned.. but I guess with all the other brands doing similar scents and it's an older line . It's not at the forefront. Bring on 2024... I need a new ADG for the collection 😅😅😂🎉

Next year I'm gonna stop shopping for designer fragrances and I'm gonna start buying from lesser known fragrance houses like Tumi, Commodity, Joseph Abboud, Room 1015, basically I don't want what everyone else is buying, I want unique fragrances that aren't mainstream.

Yeah the end was near for Profondo. When Parfum replaced Profumo and when I snelled the EDP and it had a similar opining to Profondo. It was inevitable.

Maybe before they axe Dior Homme Parfum, maybe they’ll open it up to the Western Market for a year before axing it forever. I know I would love to get it before disappearing forever.

I can see 'Profondo' being rebranded as 'Deep', Deep Blue' 'Ocean', 'Marine' or something like this 😉 (edit just to continue the trend since L'Oreal took over production - Profumo became Parfum).

I agree, but in regards to Profumo, I believe they removed the incense note. Someone correct me if I’m wrong. So if they did, it’s not the true Profumo anymore.

You can't beat the original Terre D Hermes. Together with Born In Roma Intense it's the only fragrance with a vetiver note I enjoy. The rest (that I have smelled) are too sharp. Almost as sharp as cypress, which I don't like as well.

Bad boy le parfum is officially discontinued. Macy's no longer carries it. The worker told me too many ppl would return it becuase the opening on the paper wouldn't match after they wore it on their skin for a while. Claimed it didn't leave the best scent for some when mixing with their skin/sweat molecules

I think with Profondo Armani will do the same with what they did with Profumo, relaunch it again, just a different bottle (maybe Blue gradient) and new name (maybe Ocean Parfum or something like that) and a similar smell just weaker…

The Problem with both Armani SWY and Prada l’homme is and always has been is RETAIL availability in the US. If they do discontinue them due to lack of sales it’s their own fault. I live in a fairly prominent city, and those two lines have NEVER been available at ANY retail stores in my area period.

My local Macy’s (MN) stocked an entire case of Wanted By Night onto their shelves, it looked like over 20 boxes and that was about 2-3 weeks ago. I was shocked, it’s not even a part of their current wanted display with the 4 new/current types.

Wanted by night is already gone in Australia, unless you want to pay $180 AUD and even then it is hard to find. EDIT: Stronger with you intensely is also gone.

Some Chemist Warehouses have Wanted by Night, I grabbed one for $90 a couple of months ago. I also saw some at my local Myer on Black Friday, didn’t check the price though.
