Working on doing another video for the pattern test on this load. It does have a nice pattern. The pattern is very similar to my goose load testing video, you will just have many more pellets than the goose load.
Thanks for this, i want to start loading steel , but i cannot find any steel powder but i got 4 pounds of longshot, just need to get wads, are your hulls the paper based hulls from federal?
Muller chokes says 1300 is the best for a better. Pattern and anything faster blows out the pattern. He says you don’t need 1500fps to kill with steel you need a better pattern more so than speed
I have only used MEC. I started with the MEC 600jr and got a smoking deal on a MEC 9000 progressive. I use the 600jr for my hunting loads, but used the taper station on the mec9000. I would definitely recommend having something that can put a taper on your shells. If you don’t you will eventually have loading issues because the crimp end will become wider then the hull itself. If you are just starting I would recommend a single stage, to figure out what your doing.
I do not have a website. I can do a basic needs video if you would like. Best advise is to buy a manual and then buy your reloader and equipment. I started with Lyman’s Shotshell hand book. Once you read the manual you will start to understand and then see how easy it is, if you follow the load data.
