I have taken too many whitetail to count with the sluggers over the years. Lotta lead down range great within 75 yards or so

THATS why one uses SLUGS on bears! Try the Brenneke "Black Magic" slugs. #1 favorite for Alaskan short bbl bear self defense shotguns. Works even better w full length bbls. Catchin that slug like that, freikin amazing! Great vid! 😁

Thanks Dave! Yes I have use some Brenneke slugs on deer and dropped them where they stood! The biggest whitetail I have ever taken I got with a Brenneke slug. His feet came right out from under him and he was down on the spot. Pretty sweet to have caught the slug like that. Thanks for watching!

I've seen more Brenneke Green Lightnings up in Alaska than the Black Magic. I'm a fan of the Brenneke Classic, very accurate, but for my deer hunting I prefer the foster slugs cause they deflect less through brush. Remington Slugger, Winchester Super X both shoot real well in my 870 and drop anything in North America in it's tracks. Course my favorite slug is Federals 10 gauge. Got my Ithaca Mag 10 Deerslayer restored by Les Hovencamp himself. The only round that goes through it is the Federal slug, and boy that thing is ridiculous almost 2 ounces. And you can hear it flying through the air :)

And I was about thirty meters yards away first time I ever used a rifled slug up till two weeks ago when I bought them in the gun shop I honestly thought they where illegal here ( most fun things are)

I just got 10 more of these recently. They've been my primary slug purchase for years. I was at a public range a number of years ago shooting a green sillhouette target, free hand, with these, vented rib and bead sight, at 50 yards, with my Remington 870 and blasted it a few times until it fell off the target holder. I said "Well, looks like I killed it".

Try some Federal 3" Tru-Ball slugs. Those things are pretty ridiculous. I ordered 20 of them and still have 10 left. I imagine I'll have those remaining 10 for a good long while lol.

Lol if you had to explain in court what happened to that log, you would go to prison. You hit it, the slug just left a spot and did absolutely no damage.

All it took was a restart I really hate when that happens but it has to happen sometime any way its nice to listen and tune up a guitar but works now and im glad because this was the one to break it which could be a big part of log splitting history

Because of the bigger bullet size I say this one has the best chance of splitting the log. At very least I will be surprised if the log doesn't fall to the ground.

I have to make do with pine resin. The nearest ceder tree is in the Royal Botanical Garden in Copenhagen, and I think they'd freak out if I cut down one of their trees just to get a wiff of ceder resin :-D

12 guage slugs would split a stump. Use to shoot .44 mag 320 grain hard cast, hit the stump sideways and took 3 of them to split. Splits better when you hit it sideways after they expend there shock value and stop

I have a question, any help would be appreciated. Which type of slug should I be shooting thru a smooth bore 12 guage? Specifically the Mossberg Maverick 88 3” chamber shotgun. I have seen so much conflicting bs on this subject I’d rather ask someone who knows what their talking about. TY

You can literally shoot any slug in it that is 12 Guage. I have taken many deer with a smooth bore 12 Guage. I recommend the cheapest slugs you can find. Usually is Remington sluggers or wolf

I did my own test a foot thick and two foot square roughly hit it and cracked it right through

we can hunt fallow deer, boar and moufflon with slugs in sweden. And every shotgun is limited to 2+1 when hunting. We have a lot of stupid rules for guns in sweden. (maybe a bit less if you are a sport shooter)
