The 12 racehorses that won the biggest prizes in their races in US Dollars. Horses like Gun Runner, California Chrome, Arrogate and mares like Enable and Winx are on the list in addition to several Japanese horses
Outstanding horses. However, I took care of Zenyatta during the evenings and nighttime for a couple years at the farm where she lives. During the many, many hours we spent together we became friends during that time and she would come when I called her...well...maybe because she knew she was getting a treat most of the time. I believe that she would have run past every one of the above horses. One of the best sights I ever saw was her flying in front of another Grade 1 winner in her paddock...and her hoofbeats across the paddock sounded like thunder. I've left the farm but the memories of many hugs and photo's of that great mare remain with me. Thanks for this enjoyable video.
Unfortunately her record is overrated. Horrendously protected when compared to other great distaffer. Her record is laughable against the likes of Winx and Black Caviar
I really appreciate these videos. The only bias I will have on this particular video would be because of the purse disparency. Since the influx of Sunday silence bloodline in Japan, the purse money of their races has tripled. Not including the purse money of the Dubai cup races, outside of the United States, the Japanese horses do not do well. But your videos help keep United States racing enthusiasts informed about racing outside of the United States. And I really really do appreciate that
The richest race on turf at the moment is The Everest held at Royal Randwick, Sydney. Given you nominate two other nations with excellent prizemoney should US supporters not be asking why and how it is done? And, check on the performances of Japanese horses in Australia.
@@flamingfrancis in Australia I know that the jpn horses are doing well. Internationally they are doing well. In the US they don't do as well. For example, for a true Breeders Cup, I believe that 't very best internationally should race.
An interesting tribute to some truly great racehorses. What I would find most intriguing would be to see a compilation of the original purchase prices of those sold as "yearlings", compared to their stakes earning..? Surely we are all only too well aware that the racehorse does not actually know how much it cost and that the excessive prices paid initially are certainly no guarantee of success. A prime example is suerly that of "Snaafi Dancer" sold as a yearling for over 13 million U$, yet utterly hopeless both as a potential racehorse or sire..!!
Won 33 in a row and the prize money in Austrália is Very high. Won 4 Cox plate. unfortunately she didn't leave Australia but she was a legend on the tracks
You must need your annual ear wax cleanout, or is it you need new lenses. The following has been stated before. You know how many consecutive races she won and the number of G1's alone being better than your Frankel's total number of races. A know all would also know she won four consecutive W S Cox Plates, a race that was one of the Emirates World Series of global races between 1999-2005. In winning those four races she buried at least 20 horses that either won or started in Euro G1 races. So off to bed you go but don't forget to take your pipe outa your clacker.
