I never knew opals were thought to be bad luck. I’ve always loved them especially since they are my birthstone. I also didn’t know the two about pearls. Thank you for educating us!
We didn't touch on that myth in the video, but there doesn't appear to be any truth behind the water preventing opals from cracking as opals are non-porous, so they do not actually soak in any water. It is so interesting to hear all of the myths surrounding opals! Thanks for sharing and for watching the video! 😊
Native American cultures also have a deep respect for opals. The stone is considered to be a symbol of hope, purity, and truth. The Hopi tribe believes that opals are a gift from the underworld and that wearing the stone can protect the wearer from harm.Nov 17, 2023
Actually, the story behind opals being bad luck was not a general thing. We used to say that it was bad luck for a person to wear opals if they did not have Opal as their birth stone but of course that was nonsense.
That could definitely contribute to the myth as well! There appears to multiple versions of the myth. Hopefully opals will start getting the love and respect they deserve!
It's possible some toothpastes may work on some materials, but we do not recommend toothpaste and a toothbrush for cleaning jewelry. There's also a lot of variation in toothpaste texture/consistency, and some toothpastes can be more abrasive and might scratch the piece you are cleaning.
Just want to say that the very best gems and beads I've ever bought came from Fire Mountain Gems and Beads. P.S. not paid to say this; but credit must be given where credit is due.
@@jessicaday9196 May depend where you live; gem fairs in my country/state weren't better value for "bling" or price, so you may be fortunate in that. Thing is, gem fairs aren't available 24/7 to order from though, and have your choices delivered by post...
Precious metal is used on our website to help filter products, so gold-filled beads, for example, are a base metal core that is coated with a precious metal (gold). That helps to narrow down your product search. We apologize if there is any confusion caused by that. If you have any questions about specific products, we would love to help!
Hiya, awesome video and I love opals and I never thought that they were bad luck, because I would have the worst luck of all time, if it was true. Lol I do agree with you about diamonds, they are tough but they can be crushed or chipped if it's the wrong circumstances, I've had a 3 ct diamond break in half already. I hope you have a awesome blessed day. Cya! 😺🐟 out!
The same as explained. Black Hills Gold is just a style or method that uses gold with different alloys (different ratios of copper or silver) to create different shades of gold, and then they're usually styled together to show the color contrasts.
Looks like you got a great answer in the comments already, but yes, Black Hills Gold speaks more to the style, and within that style there are some gold mixtures to give the different shades. Thanks so much for watching the video! 😊
LAKIRRA 55, Aka Lousiana Glitter Queen is very disappointed in her last purchase from you. On her live stream she said" she would rather buy from TEMU then you and your fake beads. Just letting you know.
