As we begin to come to the end of 2024 its almost time to say goodbye to some amazing Lego sets that are going to retire. We have a bit of time yet in which to try and buy these sets, so in todays video I will highlight 12 sets that you might want to consider buying before they retire.

I just purchased the Holiday Main Street to build with family when they visit next month. I would also like to pick up the A Frame Cabin and the Gandalf and Balrog Brickheadz before they retire at the end of the year. If Eldorado Fortress goes on sale, I may pick up another copy of that. Oh nice, it’s a great set and is nice to have it motorised. The A-Frame is very good, surprised it’s actually retiring so soon. Glad you enjoyed the video 🙂

Luckily I have every set that interests me from this list so no need to rush out looking for a deal. Having said that I don’t panic if I don’t get missing sets as I’ve learned I don’t need everything and sometimes even sell sets after changing my views.

Yeah I definitely think FOMO starts occurring when sets are about to retire. I certainly can’t get everything on my list so will just prioritise sets I will really regret not buying. Though this is most of them😂

I still need to buy the Legolas and Gimli Brickheadz, and this week I bought the mos eisley cantina, I got a great deal on it a 100 euro discount

I still need to pick up Luke's Landspeeder, Cody's helmet, and the Shrieking Shack and Whomping Willow. Maybe I'll pick up the large R2-D2 as well.

Both the Harry Potter sets a great, should be easy to get reduced, in the UK both are often on sale

What has been the most difficult set to build due to colour blindness?

I’m generally fine but what I struggle with are trees and things. If it’s just one shade of green I’m ok but it’s when multiple shades are used, same goes for brown pieces. The Tranquil Gardens set was probably the toughest to work out🙂

Yeah hopefully will be one soon, possibly could be one in October. My gut feeling is it may be on offer during Black Friday

I have been searching for ever for any deal on the Creator Castle because I want 4, never ever seen it at anything but full price, and I am not paying full price if I am buying 4. Holiday main street was just £65?????...Why do I keep missing out on all these deals!!!! That one is particularly painful as I want a couple at least.

Sadly the castle rarely goes on sale, hopefully will do sone. Same goes for Main Street but chances are as we get closer to Christmas it will go on sale again at John Lewis🤞
