Hello and welcome to my Lego Channel. I am a huge AFOL (Adult Fan of Lego) and have been collecting and building sets for nearly a decade after rediscovering Lego in my late 20's. I collect and build just about anything that looks interesting but mainly collect Harry Potter, Ideas/Icons, Creator Expert and Star Wars, but generally only the Original Trilogy themed sets
As someone who is severally Dyslexic, I find the process of following Lego instructions very helpful as it really helps focus my brain for long periods of time but even as an adult, most sets take me quite a long time as I have to concentrate, otherwise I make frustrating mistakes.
My content will mainly focus on Lego news, previews and reviews. When it comes to reviews, these will be my honest thoughts and opinions as the Lego sets will be brought more often than not with my own hard earned money.
I like the treehouse but may skip it. I prefer the more modern style of building tbh. Modular’s I’m not sure on. I might wait a bit. Tempted to get another mos eisely so I don’t feel bad about opening mine 😂 truthfully I might skip this sale as I want to get the next gwp so will be spending out for that soon
Such a shame Lego have got this design very very wrong!!🙁 This is a K2 red telephone box and should have 6 rows of 3 windows down, this has only 5 rows down 😢For this reason I can’t buy it!! 😭 I have a real K2 phone box and it just would not be a replica of it, so gutted! 😭
I am a Red Telephone Box facts geek lol! How can I display this in my real telephone box when it’s wrong and doesn’t replicate what it’s sitting in 😢😢 I have emailed Lego to see if there is anyway I can add another row of windows into the design or if they can supply me with extra bits, I don’t know if it would work or not, I am no Lego expert and hope they can give me instructions aswell 😢
High on my wish list! I ended up getting the UCS AT-AT and Razor Crest on May 4th instead but definitely something I want to get. The Razor crest comes in two boxes, about 18 bags each and I would say that building the giant engines (box 2) got a bit repetitive as well but that was a great build overall, a lot of detail in it.
Ahh cool, yeah that train in series 4 looks fantastic, I believe it’s the same designer who made the General Store in series 1 so should pair nicely together🙂
Kinda sad I'll be missing out on double VIP points as another hobby of mine is launching a big wave of stuff I want this month. Still love that GWP though. Hopefully me missing out, means Lego days/Prime Week next month treats me well haha
Yeah I definitely agree this is a fantastic release year so far and whats worse is its only the halfway point of the year haha. Luckily the rumors/leaks of upcoming releases for the second half of the year interest me and my girl a lot less for themes we collect. So now we can play catch up on themes like Star Wars and Harry Potter. Speaking of SW, this was probably one of the strongest release years they have had in probably over a decade. Between the beginning of the year releases and then the May 4th releases there are still 8 sets alone that I want, only picking up the new Brickheadz so far. So hopefully thats it for SW this year as the summer wave I have no interest in haha
I know what you mean, July is a little quite but from August on, my good god, there are so many sets to come out, it’s insane. Oh this year has certainly been a good one for Star Wars, still a good few more sets yet to come too, the new Star Destroyer, UCS Sail Barge, will be interesting to see what Oego do next year🙂
@@TheDyslexicGeak Yeah my girl is excited for the new botanical sets and the new Harry Potter Burrow that may or not be a day 1 purchase for us haha. Im sure Lego will have one last SW wave for fall with the Sail Barge being the main attraction. Im curious about both its size and price value as a more niche set, similar to Luke's Land Speeder. However it is the OG trilogy so Lego no doubt knows it sell especially if it has the minifig count of something like the Mos Eisley cantina
@@foreverfornever1124 oh yes forgot the big Burrow is coming, will be interesting to see what that looks like. I expect the Sail Barge will have many minifigures, wonder just how expensive it will be
One of the best sets of recent years and a complete bargain is the creator 3 in 1 Camera. Really clever little build, extremely affordable and displays brilliantly.
Seeing reviews of it with other content creators has sold me on getting one. I actually really like it and at this point just want Lego and Hasbro to team up more in the future. Id hate to have to wait 3 years for a new one each time. Kinda wondering if Lego would consider smaller sets. I would love speed champion size character sets that has one autobot versus one decepticon in every set just in vehicle mode as they have done with other popular IP's like The Fast and Furious series and 007. Id actually be invested in spped champions at that point haha
Yeah I hope it’s not three more years until the next one, would have thought one a year would be reasonable but I do expect a Deceptacon will be next. I don’t see Lego making smaller sets but would be nice🙂
@@TheDyslexicGeak I think soundwave would be a next safe option. Megatron, Starcream, and many other popular decepticons are military vehicles, which isnt an avenue Lego ventures on rarely, if at all. Unless they wanted to switch it up from G1 to other universe Transformer series like Beast Wars where they were animals, thats the only way I could say. Speaking of they ever decide to do the Dinobots that would awesome!
@@foreverfornever1124 oh yeah I forget Starscream is fighter jet so unlikely to get made, soundwave would be a very safe bet, plus with all the tapes would be amazing🙂
Cool. Some good sets in there. I grabbed the sith infiltrator on double vip as I haven’t seen it anywhere widely available. I may grab the droideka when the new gwp drops next week. I do like the fossil piece and plan to get it. I can see them doing a range of those which will be cool.
@@TheDyslexicGeak yeh exactly. Smyths not known for sales. I might grab the a frame for the GWP. Not sure yet. Am trying to focus these purchases on stuff I’m not likely to get a good deal on elsewhere

I'd have waited on my June 1st purchases if I'd known about the double points and the Jules Verne gwp. The June 1st water park gwp wasn't really of interest for me. Still, I have a backlog of sets I'd like to buy. I will likely try to get both double points and the Verne gwp. Thanks for the heads up!
Yeah it’s a pain when you don’t know what’s going to happen for the full month but I heard rumours of double points happening in June so I didn’t go to mad on June 1st. Shame the promo and double points don’t overlap
I have just finished building the truck last night. Very enjoyable build. Just three stickers in total. Two are for the hot dog stand and the other one is for a 2x2 tile inside the drivers cab acting as the tv. It's about three inches longer than the previous yellow truck and maybe a few centimetres taller. Great to look at them side by side.
Oh I have just started building it, so far very much enjoying the build and only 3 stickers is a very nice thing. Looking forward to seeing the finished build🙂
Thanks a lot for this new update. I was wondering about getting the double insider... but if it's that Jules Verne GWP? it's a no-brainer for me... i'm getting that awesome GWP !

I’m looking to make a parts order so double points will come in handy. I might also place an order for the gwp but will buy smaller sets to just get over the threshold 👍
Love the promo so will definitely be looking to get that. I’m not sure about the double points. I would normally take advantage but with the promo coming shortly after I’m not sure I will this time. I am tempted to grab the Zelda though and this is one of the best times to get it to get the price down a bit so I might do that too
@@Ultra_bricks I’m not sure, I think they charge the card initially then release the money after a week or so, I haven’t pre-ordered anything for ages apart from Bricklink sets.
Hi, I think you do get the double rewards points for pre-order. I was looking at the imperial star destroyer today and noticed where it had the GWP info under it showed double reward points amount. I then checked reward point in normal spot and the other amount was double.
I ended up purchasing Diagon Alley and Hogwarts™ Icons - Collectors' Edition with double points. Both sets are due to retire soon I think and exclusive to Lego, more so Diagon Alley - so not really seen them discounted. Seemed a good time to add them to my collection with the bonus points!
I managed to get up at 1am and order the Brick Cross Train Station eventually after some issues of being stuck on the US site. The same designer has also done my favourite for Series 4 being the Chocolate Shop!
Im thinking of putting another 5 inch just on the train station part because it did look a bit small next to the Museum. Im also taking away the red and grey of the roof and replacing it with black, dont like the look of the grey but the red bits might stay. Got two so might join them into one huge Station.
I was observing and Brickcross sold out in 7 hours 20 minutes, told my sister if she wanted it there was maybe 100 left so do it now! she waited too long but got Mushroom house.
It’s tough with only 5 sets getting selected, so many amazing designs miss out, would be nice if Lego would spread the selections from different designers as a few have now had multiple designs picked now
I expect the Wild West train in series 4 was selected as it’s the same designer as the general store in series 1 I believe. They will go perfectly together🙂
The logging railway is not selling because its two thirds brown bridge and one third train. Plus the bridge wont fit any proper track so it cant even be used as part of a railway, its a stand. If you removed the bridge and just sold the train it would sell FAR more. The Wildwest train will sell because there is more train, you have a carriage and a freight car and it uses proper track. There is 2700 pieces in logging railway, you could have got The Emerald Night with FIVE carriages for those number of pieces, instead we get a tiny crap train on a crap useless bridge...WHAT A WASTE!
@@neilrusling-je6zo yeah it’s a very strange design choice, so many better examples of train sets Lego could have chosen but thankfully series 4 will do that, the Wild West train looks fantastic🙂
I went on the website around 4 hours after kick off and ordered the mushroom house. None of the others would fit into what I want to collect tbh. It was the snail that sold the mushroom house for me and although wasn’t intending on buying anything this time I succumbed lol.
@@TheDyslexicGeak Yes, some people have to choose the less popular sets as well 😄. But I like the colorful vacationlike coastal design, a nice stand alone set 👍🏻. I have no room for Legocitybuilding so no modulars for me 😊 But I agree with you on skipping the Logging Railway and go for the Wild West Train in Series 4 instead because just like you I have already ordered the General Store in series 1 😁

The only one I got was the mushroom house. And I only got it cuz it was almost sold out and I figured worst case I will probably be able to resale it for $150.
Congrats on getting that Fell Beast with Barad-dur. It’s a fun little build. Mine was missing the Ring Raith's sword. No biggie. It was a free gift. I contacted Lego about the missing piece. Should arrive in mail in a few weeks. I went back to the Lego store to spend my points from Barad-dur and the Dune Ornithopter. I had $24. I got the Legolas & Gimli Brick Headz with Gandalf & The Balrog Brick Headz.
Ahh that’s sucks the sword was missing, Lego have really good customer service so glad they are fixing that for you🙂Thsts a really nice haul, I have all the LorR Brickheadz from last year but need to get Gimli and Legolas. That Gandalf/Balrog are my favourites, especially the Balrog🙂
Yea, the Gandalf & Balrog were an unexpected surprise. I was initially going for Legolas & Gimli. But when I saw the Balrog, I thought I have to have that to go with my evil tower. 😂
