Tome 18 - Revision has finally brought Deathslinger challenges and lore to Dead By Daylight, four years after his release. With new challenges focused on the cowboy, more people are going to be picking up a redeemer themselves. I've already been asked by quite a few people on how to complete the "STOP RIGHT THERE!" Challenge in Level Two of the Tome. I hope this video helps give you some ideas to sling your way through these challenges.

Honestly I was struggling with this challenge. I wasn't having any luck with Trail or Insidious, but this worked for me!

I remember getting this challenge done first try. I shrunk my terror radius as much as possible and equipped tinkerer.

Dark Devotion + Nurses Calling + Sloppy Butcher + Plaything is what did the job for me

I used a similar build with Furtive Chase back when it reduced your terror radius with each obsession hook. Before it switched to its Undectable Status, and before it switched to 5 meters, you were able to have practically a 0-4 meter terror radius. M&A Perk -8m Whisky + Badge -12m Furtive Chase with 4 tokens -16m Leaving it with constant "undetectable" Or without ADSing 8m terror radius. WIth the previous -5m per token, it was practically a solid 4 without ADSing. I miss that old Furtive Chase to make fun No Terror Radius Builds like that. Now guess the only best way to use it is mostly Undectable perks, but low terror radius Slinger is still quite a lot of fun.

This was actually a go-to build for me back in the day as well. I actually have a whole video about that build as well, but sadly the furtive change killed that build.

I threw on tinkerer and nurses and Mary Letter for school and it went pretty smoothly

Tinkerer is great, at least i thought that 😅 but the bubble-notification makes it hard to aim, you literally cannot see on which side they are sitting

Yeah the bubble can really get in the way. Torment would be a better choice over tinkerer tbh.

It was hard for yall to do the challenge? I just acted friendly with some survivors and had them repair a gen for free and they let me spear them. Then the game went on like normal.

It wasn’t hard, and anyone can easily farm it. Not everyone wants to farm challenges. So for those that want to accomplish it on their own, this can help them towards it. 😁

Got lucky last two survivors figured out I was trying for this challenge and helped me out. It was only right for me to let them escape.

I got it first game with a build similar to this with monitor jolt pain res and lethal, purple terror radius (whiskey) and break free (spear break)

Still a 16 meter TR which is just as effective with an 18 meter range on the redeemer!

@@OsuchinRiberu also if there is one survivor running distortion and no more you'll always get the aura reading tome in the first seconds of the match with lethal, I would run gear head too in case of 2+ distortions

Yeah I realized I trigged it with lethal after that match, but in the moment, I thought it was because of Gearhead and Lethal haha

Tried it yesterday like 7 times in a row with full stealth build. The only thing i got were tbags lmao

Ive heard quite a few people still struggled even with a full stealth build. Map is gonna play a crucial part, as you need to be able to approach without being spotted.

Quick question, do you unlock that iridescent killer emblem charm once you get a killer to P100?

You don’t. There isn’t any reward for reaching P100. I believe that Killer Charm was from a rift at some point in time. Charms are hard to keep track of where they came from 😅

As a Deathslinger main, when you take this much shit for so much effort youre entitled to pop off and not say gg and call survivors garbage. Playing this killer in particular starts to change you, it makes you not hate survivors, but enjoy and relish in donking them off their high horse. Oh also i got this challenge done in two matches.

I was so sick of it, I did that challenge for like 20 games and I could only ever interrupt one person with undetectable + nurses, ended up just having to have a friendly match with the survivors that helped me get it lol.

ive done this challenge multiple times and its still not only giving me one, i suck at deathslinger and stupid mmr os just making me not enjoy even trying this anymore

The survivors might be letting go right before the harpoon connects, which will not grant progress on the challenge. If you are ripping them off generators or healing each other and it is not counting, you could get a clip of it and submit it to the bugs forums to get fixed. This one is tricky and takes time, but you'll get it!

Level 3 didn't have any Slinger challenges. It seems they stopped at Level 2. Hopefully there are some more in Level 4! But if you have any you'd like to see, feel free to comment! Never know! :)

Floods of Rage or BBQ. Anything that gives you aura reading really. There aren’t really any common perks you can use for aura reading that I am aware of.

If you’re tryna decide before the rift ends, I would suggest tuning into the twitch stream either Tuesday or Wednesday at 5PM EST. As I don’t think my next Slinger video will be during this rift.

i still haven't seen a deathslinger thats cause even with the tome the killer is trash!, no point playing this killer anymore. huntress and trickster been buffed up and don't have to releod that much and thats the only thing deathslinger benefit was not having to find a locker. on top of that deathslinger cant get multiple downs, but huntress and trickster can. deathslinger also has more self stuns on him reeling in and reloading and his weapon stuns him as well at times. worst of all deathslinger can't even injured already injured surivvors at god pallets LOL, a range killer that cannot do anything to survivors at certain pallets. but huntress and trickster can soooo.... this killer literally serves no purpose when 2 more range killers you can play are way way better.

That’s definitely an opinion for sure. There are many things that Deathslinger outshines both Huntress and Trickster in. I highly suggest you catch some of my gameplay sometime and you might just change your mind. Or don’t. Thanks for the opinion.
