That’s what I call lots of fun! Here in Brazil we can’t use cast net in freshwater, so, it’s kind of hard to go fishing without bait like you, but it’s definitively a funny adventure. I was missing that so looking good fish! I’m gonna try a recipe like yours! Thanks for sharing with us, Spencer!

After 3 years of drought California has plenty of reservoir storage and river flow, but the fishing is still weak. I’ve been skunked at my usually productive catfish spot all year. I’m bank fishing for bait at the moment. It’s slow though. Still enjoying your videos while I wait for my rod to bend.

Scoop out a shallow depression for your stove and use the sand to form a wind break. Put a tarp or a jacket over the wind break otherwise sand will blow into your pan. It helps to have the stoves base support.

Been a few years now but my Old man had a big channel cat from the Ohio chomp his thumb hard enough to give it that hammer bruise😂.

My hubby Dennis and I been fishing a small river here in Northeast Arkansas, Current River. We live in maynard and only have to travel about 8 miles. Anyways, Our friend Joe, has caught a 51 lb. flathead, 40 lb. flathead, 35 lb. and 20 lb. flathead. Joes up by 4 and Lynette 0. Somethings got to give lol Dennis has caught a Gar and bass, Lynette nothing. 2 snapped in half hooks and a big bite and water slap thats about it.:O)

Hey Spencer …… Sorry for this fking Novel..😂. I’m still pumped!? I don’t know if I told you that I worked part time for the State Environmental Police. So I sent my video and pics of the Chanel cat I caught to the state DEP fisheries for identification. The DEP fisheries officer wanted my location and told me that was a great catch and very few channel cats have been reported being caught in the Housatonic River. He was glad that they are in there. I have never caught a River Minster like that. Spencer, you are correct about the fight. Took about 5 minutes just to get him in sight. I was wondering if it was a huge pike which are very common in this river. Northern Pike get up to 40-50 inches. Anyways, when I finally saw it, I saw the white belly and i adrenal glands just started pumping. After another 5, after he wore out, I actually jumped in the River to grab my beast. I was not going to lose him on the bank. I owe my biggest caught fish from watching you! Learning about what you use, the rig setups, the areas to fish. I caught about 50 catfish this season from 1 - 7 pounders …. However, channel cats are not prominent in the Housatonic River. On the other side of Connecticut, in the Connecticut River, they are stocked by the state fisheries. You the man!! Your videos motivated me out of bed , fight my disabilities and get out catfishing. I have many days of catching nothing and giving it all up. I come home aggrieved and defeated. After taking a few days off, and watch your videos and I get re-motivated. Like I said, I’m not just a typical sub!! You know my situation. I wish I could of sent you more money after the larceny of your generator, but my police disability pay sucks. Now I know how the military vets feel …. Awesome video glad you caught channel cats…. My channel had the same body type, however it had a black top. Could not believe the length.
