Everyone hates coming home and having to slave away in the kitchen to. make a delicious dinner. This creamy garlic chicken breast recipe is quick and easy. It's one of my favourites as it does not take long and usually does not require a trip to the supermarket as I usually have all the ingredients in the fridge.
I promise you this chicken breast recipe is far from dry and it is so versatile, you can add in onions, mushrooms or spinach if you like and can serve it over mashed potatoes or rice.
Recipe and instructions:
2 chicken breasts (cut in half to help it cook quicker)
2 tsp all purpose seasoning
1/2 tbsp garlic granules
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp white or black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
Sauce:
1 tsp olive oil
1 small piece of butter
brown your chicken on both sides (2 mins per side)
remove from pain
then add
small piece of butter
1 tbsp minced garlic or 3 minced garlic cloves
2/3 cup double cream or heavy cream
2/3 cold water in same measuring cup
a few sprigs of fresh thyme
add chicken back in and cover
finish with freshly cracked black pepper
salt to taste
fresh parsley
Serve over rice or mashed potatoes for a quick and delicious dinner.
