Very instructive, Stephen. This 'before and after' format works well.

I only managed to notice 3-4 mistakes and only because I’ve been watching your videos religiously 😊. Keep at it Stephen, at this rate you might make an artist out of me. ‘Thank you’ doesn’t seem to be enough but that’s all I have.

I love to draw,Stephen and your thoughts and observations are real takeaways to be mindful of. Really appreciate the simpilicity of your teaching approach, no fuss and to the point. Thankyou. Great work. 🇦🇺

In the second drawing, you also added the steeple above the main building that was missing in the first drawing. A lack of observation by the "first" artist...!

Thanks, I really enjoyed this video in particular! For me, it's a tie between scale (I need to learn to be more patient) + creating the effect of tile, brick, stonework (I never know how much to use, where to place, size). :)

That’s great. I have a few videos on drawing the effect of brick if you haven’t seen them. 😀

Excellent points Stephen. I immediately vent back to my sketch book and you almost caught me red handed😅. Thanks

I draw in graphite and for some reason I used to feel the need to draw every shingle on the roof and every stone (or siding line) on buildings. That is something I'm trying to work on ... drawing the effect of the lines. Otherwise it does look like a cartoon drawing. Thank you!

Thanks. Rather fun video. Looking at the example 'anti' drawing made my teeth hurt knowing you drew it. :) Was it hard to draw that way after all this time or did you avoid most of these errors in your past somehow?

I actually drew the final version first, so maybe that let me feel better. But I did have to pay attention drawing the less effective one. Whatever we keep doing, does become intuitive at some stage. 😀
