I never thought goron would be so excited about beavers

Elbe Beavers....ah the memories. Always saw them in the wild when I was on the boat with my grandpa as a child.

In America, beavers are typically given the short end of the stick. Minnesota and Columbus have pretty nice ones, but most of them are really small or all indoors (but a good size). None are like that concrete pit, but none resemble the nicer ones in the video

6:35 I've also heard before that the Canadian beaver seems to be more active during the day in general in zoos than the Europeans, so that checks out. I spent weeks in Gaia and was never able to spot the beaver outdoors. I've also visited Wildlands numerous times since they've had the beavers, but I also have never seen them outside. Such a shame in such a cool enclosure. I did see baby beavers last time I went ☺ I believe the double doors in the Wildlands area are because early on there were plans for that area to be netted over and also be an aviary. I love love love the education of the Wildlands habitat so much. Particular shoutout to the radio talkshow that plays in the fishing hut. And the fact that the educational messages of the radioshow (which is in Dutch) are translated for international guest in the form of themed fishing magazines that lie on the table in the fishing shed.

I was there 2 days ago very cool area got some nice photos of the beavers also the aviary doesnt contain crows but common raven a species we and the US share in the wild

I've only seen North American beavers at Drusilla's which are actually housed with capybaras and Patagonian maras.

I do think you can see the inside of the lodge in Pairi daiza right now, although i have never seen the beaver themself.

Wildlands has these gates because it was supposed to be an aviary as well in the original plans. But they got budgeted away...
