My favourite Bowie song, Queen Butch! But yeah, Bowie used a 12-string a lot throughout his career, especially in the late-60s early 70s. He plays it on Young Americans, for one, you can see it during live versions. He really hammers the hell out of it.
Always enjoy the videos. Also wanted to tell you thank you, your top 20 Beatles riffs video alone was something that helped inspire me to start playing, and that’s not even counting your other videos that have inspired me
Using a capo on the 5th fret of a 12 string!👀 I thought that tales of such lutherie were merely myth or legend, 😂. Great selection 👌. Like deployed 👍 😎🎸✅️
@@bloxsy_ Before truss rods were a common thing, it was common for everybody to down tune 12 strings so the neck wouldn't warp from all the tension. Not really needed now but still a cool sound. Looking forward to a follow up video!
Nice! I love Mama I’m Coming Home, that’s my favorite in your compilation! ❤ I would have loved to hear Hotel California, but I know the situation with The Eagles, so I get it.
That’s a shame. Should be able to get it out though. I accidentally jammed mine in but I read somewhere I might be able to drill it out as a last resort.
