Hello friends, welcome to my video about alternatives to plastic products. Please write in the comment section which products you use to reduce the amount of plastic waste
Stainless steel straws are great to use too! I have a set of 2 straws that comes with a cleaning brush, a stainless steel carrier tube with silicone stoppers on each end [that can be removed for cleaning if necessary] and even a cotton carrier bag. I use my steel straws to take my apple cider vinegar drink daily [to avoid having the acidic vinegar on my teeth] and it works out great. Even better than glass straws because they're unbreakable. Unless I lose them, I'll never need to buy them again! Great ideas here. I never would have thought of bamboo toothbrushes but will be ordering some soon. Thanks & take care.
Hello. I use pieces of loofah to cleaning the dishes and surfaces in kitchen and bathroom to reduce the micro plastics. They clean perfect, without scratching. I use to hang them with a string to always keep them dry. I bay the whole piece of loofah and cut it the way i like. It's much cheaper. They are perfect for the body too. For straws i use bamboo ones. Very good channel, keep on! Thank you for your tips!
Natalya, thank you so much for this video! I just watched it and realized I can improve my eco-print. E.g. using bamboo toothbrush and those sponges for dishes. By the way, you didn't mention it, but I'm sure you do use bio degradable waste bin bags. I love it and use only it for many many years now. Also I try to avoid buying plastic bags in a store and I hate plastic straws! Paper straws are quite tricky, they get decomposed literally in your glass)))), but I still prefer them to plastic. Thank you one more time! We need to be more conscious consumers.
Very Nice vídeo! But, besides reducimg the use of plastic, we need to reduce buying things! Everything Will someday become trash. Even recycable things need water, energy, metals etc to be produced.
Loved this video! I came here because of the organization videos and just watched all of them in a row! Thank you for this good content! Just subscribed and waiting for new videos! Hugs from Brasil!
Thank you very much :) My experience shows that the pad is very good for washing pans (not much fet). As for dishes, it's not so good. But I put them in the dishwasher
Hi, Nice video. Also nice thought about reducing plastic usage. We too try to reduce plastic usage, instead we try to use metal or cloth as much as possible. But in some cases, plastic usage is unavoidable. In that case, we give the plastic waste to the factories for recycling, which convert plastic waste into fuel. Thank you for your wonderful video.
1. Boil water, put your old plastic toothbrush in it -> reusable, no waste of trees needed 2. clean your sponge by using the microwave (30-60sec) 3. Don't throw away plastic if it's a durable thing that's gonna serve you for a long time for sure
Wash cloths are more economical & are better for the environment, because they can be washed in a washer. Loofahs & sponges may have been touched in the store by someone before it was purchased. Which is spreading germs.
I’ve never understood why people use sponges in the kitchen. I just use a daily cleaning rag. A nylon brush that I’ve had for 10 years now for dishes and it still looks brand new and doubt I’ll ever need to replace it. Don’t know what I’d use a sponge for, except to spread bacteria.
new sub here! just found your channel and I think this is awesome you're sharing ways we could live without plastic! I recently started this journey and I know how much it takes. hoping we could support each other
Please be compassionated with animals and don’t buy wool/ cashemire/alpaca clothing. Google and you can see how cruel conditions and torture they suffer.
The stainless steel straws are dangerous... a policeman told me that there have been many accidents and deaths from them due to falling and stabbing into the head...ouch
Did you not just recommend plastic placemats over cloth ones?! Also, you have endorsed some plastic electrical toothbrush?! Also, those sea sponges will go extinct if we all switch to those...I don't get that...
