That story about the horror zine vampire is so great. Definitely one of the best that I've ever heard Let's Read narrate, and your delivery was perfect, LR!
Coping with some pretty bad health problems right now, and I’m so thankful that your channel exists. I find it really comforting to listen to your voice, thank you for the work that you do.
I miss zines, they were fun to read. Here in cali we had cometbus and maximum rock n roll as well as some obscure ones that circulated in local high school punk scenes. Last i saw one was before covid at a punk rock flea market
The first story about the vampire was my favorite story I’ve heard on this channel so far. Very good writing on the authors part as well. Keep up the good work my man!
just found your channel the other day and I’ve been hooked 🥺 it’s perfect because as I got older I prefer to listen to podcasts as I clean, get ready, etc., so now I have a bunch of videos to listen to ☺️
Love seeing people discover Let's Read... you should join his live chats some time... super entertaining and all the subscribers that show up are great.
Dude, I just want to thank you for all the work you put into these videos. Listening helps my anxiety SO much, bc it keeps my mind on the stories, & your voice is soothing af. You truly have a gift. Hope you, your family, & everyone here have a great night & weekend!
I ❤️your stories, I have been listening for a few years now and you just get better and better. You and Lazy Masquerade were the very first narrations that got me interested in listening to horror stories ❤️
It's no secret that things can get a little spooky after dark, and these stories definitely give us the chills. It's fascinating to hear about real-life experiences that are both eerie and mysterious. While these stories can be entertaining, it's important to remember to approach them with a healthy dose of skepticism and critical thinking. Whether or not we believe in the supernatural, it's always a good idea to take precautions and stay safe in potentially dangerous situations.
Only just found you listening to other stories and one of yours came up. After hearing one story I subscribed and now been listening for about 3 days thank you
Thank you for my small escape from the world. I’m 9 months pregnant working ridiculous hours while my baby daddy sits at home doing jack. I cook, clean, work, everything. I’m unappreciated and extremely mistreated. Your videos take my mind away from my life for a while. Thank you
I'm sorry to hear of your situation. I've been there myself. I do hope things get better for you. Just know that you have the power to change everything! Also you're already doing everything on your own so why keep him around. Sending prayers and hugs your way! Keep the faith and keep moving forward!
@@nickydaughtrey6158 yeah my ex husband was like this too, my son is 9 now…it made me stronger but it was exhausting. I wish I knew he was this type of person.
I can attest to the terror of coming across a black bull or cow on a country road at night....They're nearly invisible, except for their creepy bright red flashy eyes in your headlights...
As someone who grew up in the countryside, what you say is very true. Over the years, we became accustomed to random black Bulls wandering the street that got out of the fence that our neighbor never fix for some reason. We'd sit on the porch and watch the bull Just Walk On By, but we always kept safe and would often call the neighbor at 1 or 2 in the morning to come get one of his Bulls LOL
The 6th story reminded me of something that happened to my brother and me. We were driving to the store on a wooded country highway in the middle of the night. We both saw what looked like a person with a bunch of luggage standing on the side of the road. As we got closer we couldn’t make it out any better and I swear it looked like a pile of meat. On our way back home we drove past the area slowly to get a better look and there wasn’t anything there.
Whoa first story! I'm from Louisiana and would have been living in OP's 'zine distribution zone. I would have been way too young to read it at the time, but still cool. It's entirely possible I have some Gen X friends who could have read OP's 'zine back in the day.
I have a slight twist on the doorbell story. A doorbell ringing at 2am with no one in sight is a little creepy, but it's creepier when you have no doorbell on your house at all and there's no one out for miles. We live in a log cabin on 18 acres of woodland. We're 10mi from the nearest town, which only has 400 inhabitants. In the sticks would be an understatement. We only know 2 or 3 people here, and they're just acquaintances, not friends who know us well enough to visit. Randomly, we'll hear a doorbell that sounds like it's off in the distance. The first time, my husband thought it was just my anxiety because it was late at night, and he was away for work. Today, we were in the kitchen talking, and he heard it too. We don't even have a doorbell, and the closest house is so far that even their rooster sounds muffled and far off, so it'd be impossible to hear someone else's doorbell.
I’d smoke out and zone out and meditate, like the person from story 3, back in the day too lol. Nowadays, I’ll still kinda do that, except with a beer on the weekends, listening to Let’s Read and chillin on my back porch, while my wife and kids sleep 😴
Dude I relate so much to story #5 that is so insane… literally In 2015 my house burned down bc our water heater had a shortage bc we lived in a very old trailer. My Guinea pig died and my ball python died. And my dad was gone at work. It was very cold that day and I wasn’t able to grab a thing. I literally had no clothes on at the time the fire started. I had just gotten out the shower and going to get dressed. I walked into my room and the fire started in my closet. That’s where the water heater was. I lost everything I owned besides a garbage bag of a few of my belongings that the firefighters saved. Also I was 11 or 12 when this happened so it really messed me up.
These videos have such a wide range of being scary and not scary. This video specifically and all these videos, some stories are really insane or tragic and im like holy crap while others are like “I saw a dude outside and he looked weird but didn’t actually do anything, the end” or just something lame like that that’s literally happened to me. Dope channel though.
Mister REEEED MISTER GRRR (liar liar reference for you youngins lol) thank you for your videos. getting me through some rough times right now dealing with my bf feeling the pull of the dragon and fighting me like hell. thank you for giving me some semblance of peace
The problem with so many of these creepypasta writers is that they make me feel like a twelve year old wrote them. For example, you shouldn't have to constantly say something was scary. Just make it scary. I don't need you tell me what emotions to feel.
